In every election cycle there is always someone who stands out with the truth and some wisdom. Absolutely nothing is wrong with the SBVT. I realize CNN has a different viewpoint , however, you should question the motives of a news organization that cuts a deal with Saddam and lie to keep their office open.
If you have been to Solid anchor at Nam Can you would know it is truly one of the biggest A holes in the world. I have no doubt when Kerry left, it was a better place.

Whatever Kerry did or did not do in country, what he chose to do upon his return is simply unforgivable. That man isn't fit to be on any Senate committee, much less Commander in Chief, U.S. Armed Forces. If you doubt what I say, watch the video of Kerry's testimony before the committee on which he now sits, and no doubt hopes to chair one day. That uniform he was wearing should have a big honking red star & sickle on it, because he was doing the work of all the communist propaganda ministries in the world at that time. The man has his own kiosk of honor in the war museum in Ho Chi Minh City(formerly Saigon). Check out some of the info at Winter Soldier.com to see how he trashed everyone who served in Vietnam, except for the Viet Cong and the NVA. I don't want to hear any crap from any of you trolls about his service being honorable, because he dishonored himself and all his brothers in arms before the Senate that day, wearing the uniform of our country. Scumbag.

Here’s a funny story for you:

Friend of mine was stationed at Hurlburt Field, FL, and needed a civilian lawyer for some problems he had. He looked in the yellow pages and found a lawyer named Day. He called and made an appointment with a decidedly old-sounding gentleman.

When my buddy arrived for his appointment he was blown away. There was memorabilia about Col Bud Day in the office. My buddy knows his history, especially AFSOC (Air Force Special Ops) history, and knew exactly who Bud Day was. But certainly this guy couldn’t be him. Surely it was a relative. Perhaps his son?

Out of an office comes Col Day, calling my friend “Sir” and offering to get him coffee. My goodness, the man is a god in AFSOC. My friend was in shock. “No, sir, I can get my own. Can I get you a cup?”

But Col Day shush’d him, told him to sit down (”Yes sir!”) and he’d take care of him.

And take care of him the Colonel did. And for little cash.

The man is an American legend and hero and deserves to be remembered as such.

Additionally, I find it interesting that on the Colonel’s own website, he mentions that he’s “been awarded every significant decloration available from the US Air Force.” He doesn’t even bother mentioning the most important, which is NOT awarded by the Air Force!!! What a man!

Decorated and wounded Vietnam Veteran. I have seen him speak three times. The last one at a Chief’s promotion event at Shaw AFB, 2005.

I am not convinced that cnn was clueless in this false news piece. They may well know exactly who Col. Day is and his background.

Remember cnn, msnbc, and all the msm. They avoid truth because truth does not serve their purpose: the promotion of socialism.

Frankly, I didn’t find the story about Col. “Bud” Day incendiary at all. I don’t think the story mentioned Colonel Day’s heroic service for our county because that wasn’t what made his inclusion in McCain’s Truth Squad so interesting.

I find the political implications of a man who once included himself among the notable Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which criticized the war record of a veteran Democratic presidential candidate, now counts himself among John McCain’s Truth Squad, a group designed to fight back criticisms of a veteran Republican candidate’s war record.

That’s very interesting, politically, and I think it belongs on CNN’s Political Ticker, or whatever they call it.

I do applaud Michelle’s post for bringing to light Day’s decorated past, as it explains why this man is one to be listed to. A worthy story in and of itself.

But are political questions raised by such a role reversal? You betcha.

An important part of this CNN story is that the commenters on its website are probably eligible to vote.

Since the word “swiftboat” (and its variants) likes to get thrown around — usually accompanied by the word “horrible” or some other negative connotations — can we say that the MSM is “kerrying” our armed forces?

Someone you perceive as a betrayer, or someone who may have saved your arm — who would you support?
