UPDATE: What else did Saddam bury in the desert?

I remember an article (2004?) detailing a cache of Nazi chemical weapons, that nobody knew existed, that were found in the side of a Czechoslovakian hillside roughly 65 years later.

It reinforced for me that liberals have no idea what WMDs Saddam had nor where he hid them.

When libs get tagged with the deserved reputation that they can’t be taken seriously on the subject of national security, I always think of their “Where’s Waldo?” criticisms regarding the Bush Administration’s WMD criteria for invading Iraq; WMDs that they acknowledged existing when President Clinton was in power less than three years earlier.

The Iraqis have just got a taste of the freedoms people around the world enjoy, and the Democrats and the anti-war left seek to take it away from them. If they will do that to a foreign country, just think about what they would do to the US.

Uday Hussein and his younger brother Qusay were killed in a gun battle with US forces months after the toppling of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

They were known for their lavish lifestyles and driving around Baghdad in fast cars.

What jolly rogues they must have been, those gadabout Hussein boys!

And after all this time I thought they were known for sadism and brutality! Who knew?

The encouraging story found above, coupled with this story, found in yesterday’s foreign press (about how US and Iraqi forces are closing in on the last 1,000 al Qaeda fighters near Mosul) stretch the credibility of leftists who are forced to regurgitate trends from early 2007 in order to keep treading their waters of intellectual dishonesty.
