    You really cannot fully assess that comment unless you understand the traditionally black churchs’ long and proud tradition of manual castration analogies.     I couldn’t disagree more on this point. Black folks know what the problems are in their communities, they are not happy with all the deadbeat dads out there, and they want someone to stand up to them.

    I can see this being a HUGE boost for Obama’s campaign at a time when he hasn’t had much go right for him in a while. Standing up to Jesse Freaking Jackson would go a long way with those blue collar white Democrats and independents who are fed up with Republicans but are wary after the Rev. Wright deal. At the same time, he won’t be losing many, if any, blacks who are on Obama’s side to begin with. It’s like Sista Souljah but on a much, much bigger scale.

    This all assumes that Barack has the nuts to stand up for something. If he follows the same play-it-safe, please no controversy game plan he’s been so widely derided for the last few weeks, he will pass up a golden opportunity.
