Jesse Jackson disses Obama on race; castration abomination; Update: Apology accepted

The Rev. Jesse Jackson issued an apology to Barack Obama Wednesday for making what he called a “crude and hurtful” remark about the Illinois senator’s recent comments directed toward some members of the black community.
According to Jackson, a Fox News microphone picked up comments he meant to deliver privately that seemed to disparage the presumptive Democratic nominee for appearing to lecture the black community on morality.
Jackson didn’t elaborate on the context of his remarks, except to say he was trying to explain that Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters by recently conducting “moral” lectures at African-American churches.
Jackson’s apology came a few hours before Fox News planned to air the remarks.
Speaking to CNN Wednesday, Jackson said he feels “very distressed” over the comments.

In a shocking blast at Barack Obama that was caught on tape, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, “I wanna cut his nuts out.”
He made the astonishingly vulgar remark as he accused the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee of giving moral lectures to African-Americans.
“See, Barack [has] been talking down to black people . . . I wanna cut his nuts out,” Jackson said.
His whispered comments – accompanied by his hand-miming a cutting motion – were picked up by a live mike before an interview on health care in Fox News Channel’s Chicago studio Sunday.In an effort to blunt the controversy, Jackson apologized publicly at a news conference before the tape aired last night on Bill O’Reilly’s “The Factor” show on Fox News Channel.
“It was not a public speech or a declaration,” Jackson said at the news conference, although he admitted his language was “regretfully crude” and “hurtful.

The Obama campaign took a measured response to the incident, contending in a statement that Obama has spoken for many years about parental responsibility as well as “jobs, justice and opportunity for all.”
“He will continue to speak out about our responsibilities to ourselves and each other, and he of course accepts Rev. Jackson’s apology,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said.

how I get severely chastised and roundly criticised, whenever I tell someone I blindly pull the lever on a straight Republican ticket,

Anybody actually think that Jesse Jackson didn’t know that he was being taped? Seemed pretty staged to me: He can say what he thinks about Obama, then pretend that he didn’t mean it. He might not want Obama to win the election and this is a good way to lower black support for him.
If he is “talking down to black people,” that implies that Barack Hussein Obama really isn’t African-American, which is true. He is not American culturally.

What Jesse Jackson is mad about is that B. Hussein is leaving blacks OUT, looking down on them, when B Hussein came and out supported the “Faith Based” initiative.
Black Liberation Theology is what this is about. The quiet but ubiquitous BLT still ‘mad at whitey’ stuff that can only be said in whisper and only understood by blacks.
Jesse specifically said “FAITH BASED” is what he’s mad at, enough to de-man obama.
Look at the vid again, think about what would make Jackson mad enough to say and do this in regards to Faith Based.
It has nothing to do with the father/son crap they’re trying to hide it behind tonight.

This is one of the few times I’m willing to don the tinfoil hat. Obama gets the opportunity to stand up to Jackson (who many independents hate) and Jackson gets to be the guy willing to stand up to a presidential candidate on racial issues. This is weirdly win-win.
I think Jackson took a calculated risk here and it could pay off for both parties.
I don’t know what all of the fuss is about, we know Jackson can’t do that until Obama gets them back from his wife.

As a half-Greek, full-blooded Sox fan, the answer is quite simple. Who loves tragedies and tragic figures more than the Greeks? Until 2004, was there a more tragic team in baseball? Well, other than the Cubs?
Jackson and Sharpton spend most of their time justifying thier existence as black community leaders. How in the world will Jackson be able to tell black people that they can never be successful as long as whitey is in power when one of thier members made it to the top job in this country? Jackson will lose some power.
Jackson has to drop some bombs, cross his fingers and hope that BHO does not get the white house then quickly tell the masses that he did not get voted in because of the color of his skin. Blamo, Jackson is now even more needed and more powerful. Reminds me of Yasser Arafat, if you get what the people you lead want…what do you do then? They don’t need you anymore.

Jackson has probably seen a big part of the money that normally goes into the Rainbow Push/JJ’s baby’s mamas personal funds, now going to the Obama Campaign.
Not to mention talking about the real problems (Not defending Obama in any way) with black America that needs to be fixed, is a slap in the face to JJ’s 40 year thesis that it is 100% America’s fault, Black men abandon their own children, end up in crime, and fail to get an education at an alarming rate.
Who cares what that old windbag has to say. I cannot understand why either he or Sharpton are given any air time at all. What have they ever done that anyone should care or listen? Why don’t they just GO AWAY?!
This is the inevitable conclusion of the race hustler game. They are all vying for power and money. Since jackson now sees HE will not be the first black presidential nominee (maybe elected), he is not happy for a couple of reasons. One, he is losing his near monopoly on power for black community. Two, a black nominee or president starts to erode the all powerful “victim of the white establishment” arguments. He is and will always be a race hustler (that’s how he makes his very comfortable living), and frankly, a racist. What a joke his rainbow coalition is. Anyone who is not black who thinks jackson will help them in any way is delusional and naive. Jackson thinks black first and only in all his actions. Other races be damned.

But seriously, those commentators who think this could help Obama are absolutely correct. Played right, this could be a huge plus for Mr. O. We all know there are plenty of wishy-washy Republicans out there who would conclude: “Gosh, if Jesse doesn’t like him, he must be a good deal!” One way or another, nuts or no, Obama is destiny’s child, leading the country to the greatest racial disaster of its history.

Mr. Jackson was on the news programs this morning, supposedly apologizing & explaining again. The problem is, I can never understand anything he says! I need subtitles!! Somebody must be doing something!

O’Reilly alluded to the fact that there is much more on the tape that is worse than Jaclson’s remark about turning Obama into a eunich. But they were not going to air it so as not to “embarrass” Jackson.
Whatever Jackson said is called “news”. For a news agency to pick and choose the news that it airs goes against the purpose of a news agency.
Jackson did not give the Duke Lacrosse team any break, and failed to make amends even after it was found that they were wrongfully prosecuted. He is the first to jump on the bandwagon when there is even a hint of some white misdeed against black people.
For Fox to sit on the tape to protect Jackson is a travesty. “let the people decide” is a favorite mantra of O’Reilly’s, but I guess he’ll be the one that decides what the people need to hear. Old Bill is so desperate to get Obama on his show that he’ll toss whatever integrity he has left under his own bus. I hope the Obama team gives Bill enough advance notice if they do agree to an appearance on the Factor, to allow O’Reilly sufficient time to reinforce the knees of his suits.

I’m not sure that he wins big. Does he come off better than JJ – yes, and I think if JJ thought that would have been the outcome – he would not have intentially done it. I just don’t think they have much vision. Mostly, I don’t think they can see beyond the next couple of hours. None of these people are geared to be sacrifices.

Based on his condemnation of Obama, it appears that Jesse doesn’t want a greater emphasis on black fatherhood and he thinks that all black kids should be encouraged to seek out professions as black athletes or rappers rather than getting a good education and striving toward a “mainstream” career.
His objective is to keep them enslaved to the Democratic plantation keeping them in the liberal’s programs of dependency and victimhood.

Jackson doesn’t like Obama because he’s not a militant like Reverend Wright and doesn’t spout victimhood and race-baiting. BTW what are the qualifications for becoming a “Reverend”? It seems you can be become one if you speak out about anything, not just religious concerns. You can get rich being a “Reverend” like Wright and Jackson, that’s for sure.
Jackson has not been in the forefront lately, or the center of any attention, which I think REALLY bothers him. I think that this is just one more nail in the coffin of credibility for the guy. Although, I will say that it does seem like the nails outmass the wood in his case, given all the incidents over the years. The black community may still embrace him as a leader, but any person with any sense at all knows what he is. A race baiting, self-promoting, poverty pimp who is no more a Christian than my dog.

Can anybody tell me what “church” has ordained the “Reverends” Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Jeremiah Wright? None of them shows any Christian virtue or reverence.
