Margaret Sanger: old-skool eugenicist, Obama’s hero
Dawn Eden found an archived interview of Planned Parenthood founder and eugenicist Margaret Sanger from 1957, after she’s supposed to have mellowed. Hardly. Here’s a little drop of her poison:
SANGER: I think the greatest sin in the world is bringing children into the world–that have disease from their parents, that have no chance in the world to be a human being practically. Delinquents, prisoners, all sorts of things just marked when they’re born. That to me is the greatest sin — that people can — can commit.
It’s a little too long for me to recommend the whole video, plus there’s no sound and you can’t click around and check your e-mail while she’s blabbing or you’ll miss the subtitles. Sanger and the organization she founded, Planned Parenthood, may be hideous racists, but let’s face it: they’re pikers. The real apotheosis of their philosophy was realized by Sir Hugo Drax and his Moonraker project:
Obsessed with the domination of the globe and indeed outer space, Drax selects a small army of the “finest” humans on earth. Being the head of huge company that manufactures space shuttles and other space exploration equipment, he uses his resources to build a huge space station to temporarily house the model humans of his master race. In a sick and twisted plot, Drax’ scientists have developed a biological weapon that to be deployed from space, to wipe out human civilization, while his master race was lives and breeds on the space station. Drax expects 100% loyalty from the selected few and truly sees himself as a God – holding the fate of the human race in his hands.
…By the world, he is seen as a great businessman, a philanthropist and a genius. To Bond, he is a madman whose over-inflated ego now threatens the world.
None of this messing about with federal funding like Planned Parenthood–no propaganda cartoons or birth control giveaways: through private-sector ingenuity (satellite-launched nerve gas ), Drax has found away to eliminate all unwanted pregnancies.
Okay, enough fooling around. Why is this important now (besides the federal funding and 1.3 million annual abortied babies)?
Because, as Dawn reminds us in her post, the Lightworker has a thing for Margaret Sanger.

We’re well on our way to fulfilling Sanger’s sick vision of the world, what with genetic testing for diseases that lead to the aborting of children with Down’s Syndrome and other disabilities. Additionally, more African-American children are killed every three days by abortion than died at the hands of the vile KKK throughout its history.
Pro-aborts should be so proud of the death and destruction they have caused. “Deeply personal issue”, my foot. They’re working to make Sanger’s sick, sad dream a hellish reality.
When I told my mother about the obscene profits that Planned Parenthood posted last year, she nearly swallowed her tongue with rage! My poor Mom–imagine how the old conservatives feel about this brave new world.
Obama is an abomination all wrapped up in CNN’s tinsel package.
It wont last. The media will not pick the next King, as bad as they want the role.
They couldn’t defeat Bush…and if the center doesn’t buy into OFlama’s hooey gooey swing to the middle with his rhetoric, he will get trounced.

In case you’re unaware, Barack Obama voted against legislation that required doctors to treat a baby born alive after a late-term abortion. In other words, he voted for infanticide. Well. I tend to agree that it *is* wrong to make children you won’t bother to raise yourself, but other than imprisoning women convicted of abuse/neglect/infanticide until menopause without conjugal visits (which doesn’t stop the crime against the firstborn, or crime by fathers/mom’s boyfriend), I’m not sure how a free society can compel assholes to keep their pants on.

The “eugenics” or good genes movement has enjoyed a resurgence given the last few decades increase in genetics research and “advancements”. The movement has a long and sordid history in the US and Europe- and it didn’t begin with Hitler’s Nazi paradigm.
The US exported it’s delivery system for eugenics to Uncle Adolf with technical assistance from the USDA Cooperative Extension Service out of Vermont in the early 30s. It was the USDA CES that Lincoln signed into law in 1861 by the Morrill Act, which instituted the federal Land Grant University system in each state. The purpose was to measure every acre, count the number of people and Indians, and teach people how to feed themselves as the US expanded westward. One other mission of the USDA Extension Service was to sterilize Indian women, while breeding the rest of us out of existence with measures of “blood quantum”.
Hitler idolized the US’ mechanical efficiency of making “living room” by exterminating Indians on the way west. His admiration for the eugenics program was extolled in his “Mein Kampf”.
Sanger was one of the folks who stood on the shoulders of “giants” in the field of eugenics, such as one of the mainstays of the American Eugenics Society (based in Vermont), Dr. Henry Perkins (i may have his first name wrong).
The “pro-choice” movement and the Roe v Wade crowd is either oblivious to the history of their fetish for in-vitro killing, or compliant with the values of a movement that has never gone away, experiencing re-births throughout different political eras and social expediencies.
It is no surprise that the vapid and opportunistic Barack Obama would back this history of evil and murderous relativism. He is a drug addicted
know nothing who is not fully in possession of a moral code that chooses life.
The fetuses “they” cannot abort, they raise in a fog of psychotropic drugs to neuter them.

It’s a non-profit. That money goes straight back to their budget. The budget in which 97% of the money is dedicated to mammograms, non-abortive birth control, sex education and OBGYN services. Furthermore, any federal money given to PP is barred from going towards anything related to abortion.
Sanger’s views are horrible. So were Henry Ford’s. Yet no one calls my dad an anti-Semite for driving a Taurus.
Since teen pregnancy rates are much lower in places with comprehensive sex ed and access to birth control while not increasing the teen sex rate, I’d say that it’s going quite well thank you very much.

I kind of crack up that people think that teens use contraception because of classes. I personally think it’s hit and miss due to what I witnessed in school with the “comprehensive” condom classes we had. What a joke. Adults think these classes prevent pregnancies when really they are clueless that many of the teens sat back and laughed and still ridiculed those who used contraception. Teens think (and always have thought due to that stage in life) they are invincible..got a class for that? I find it interesting that the private Christian University I attended taught that Sanger was a Gd of reproductive change. They always mentioned her penchant for handing out condoms but never anything else. I don’t have to wonder what would have happened to my grades if I had asked about her other activities.

They [PP] are not the only ones to provide these services, and I doubt they truly care whether they are able to provide them or not; their primary focus was, is, and always will be to provide abortion mainly to minority women.
I had to read Sanger’s (very hard to find) autobiography when I was in undergrad. It was very telling when she repeatedly referred to the poor as the “weeds in society,” and about the importance of placing her birth control clinics in strategic locations to take care of these “weeds.”
C’mon talk radio, push this one hard! I want to hear Obama say, “This isn’t the Margaret Sanger I knew twenty years ago.”
It starts with an abortion here, and one there. Then there’s “Roe vs Wade”. Now we have tests to determine the functionality of the unborn child and whether to abort or not. Government, in the meantime, passes more socialized medicine policies. Soon there is universal care. Then the little “amendments” are passed. “We can’t afford to take care of ‘sick’ babies”. One day, the American public will turn around to see all fetuses examined for possible health problems. Many will require abortion, as law. Many will be pleased with the “savings”, reacting against conservatives by yelling, “How dare you bring such a child into this world!” And, the Left will march on…..
Keep in mind that there are several factions supporting unrestricted abortion. The eugenicists are but one. Others are feminazis, irresponsible men who want to pay off their mistresses/girlfriends when they impregnate them and the greens/zero-population-growthers.
Drax was also a cheat at cards. Just to be sure that I don’t associate with that sort, Margaret Sanger and Chocolate Jesus are both officially OUT of my bridge club!
Sanger didn’t act in a vacuum. The whole eugenics movement was very popular in this country, and around the world. It derived its legitimacy from the theory of evolution, and the man who coined the term ‘eugenics’ Galton, Darwin’s cousin. Darwin was a eugenicist:
“At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilised races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world. At the same time the anthropomorphous apes, as Professor Schaaffhausen has remarked, will no doubt be exterminated. The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian, and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the negro or Australian and the gorilla.” (Darwin, Charles R. and it was very fashionable in left-wing circles…and we see the results of that today.

Planned Parenthood taking donations from peoplke who want to kill black fetuses was horrible and unacceptable. The directors of those branches and the employees in question should have been let go.
PP is an ideology. But noxious? No organization has actively prevented more abortions than PP. And the efforts they make on behalf of women in financial trouble has saved countless live from breast and cervical cancer.

Sorry, where is the Obama connection here, aside from his general pro-choice position? I agree that most of the supporters of Roe and PP have no understanding of the origins of the movement, but I couldn’t find the explicit connection between Obama and Singer.

Also, how does one prove that lives have been saved from breast and cervical cancer? Does this get reported by patients who: 1) went to PP and didn’t get bc or cc *yet*? or 2) went to PP and then contracted the diseases and were “cured”?

Eugenics was a logical outcome of the philosophy embodied by Darwinism. You take the lesser fit, and make sure they never breed, thus advancing the race by speeding up evolution.
The part where this all falls apart, ironically, is that (should you believe in evolution) mutations will always appear at first very gradually, and will appear grotesque to the rest of the population.

The gut-check side of it is…no human being should be deprived of life by another human being. Spare me the counter argument against the death penalty; those people had free choice when they committed their crime. An unborn child does not have that choice.
But ask anyone who is 8 years or older, just ask them! What would they think of their parents if they had been aborted? Sure, the aborted babies are not at the stage where they could reasonably choose…but if you extrapolate it to any living being; would you be happier if you’d been aborted?
And if not…then you have the choice to commit suicide…so what’s wrong with giving you the chance until you’re old enough to MAKE that choice?
I’m not surprised by any of Sanger’s beliefs. Because of my background in history, one of my specialties is Women’s History. Sanger’s beliefs are well-known among Women’s History scholars. Unfortunately, the ignorant masses have no clue how abortion started and where it will end.

As a 33 year old woman, I think this is some scary stuff. To be lectured by the likes of Rusty about my body is a hoot. It’s amazing that even liberal women proclaim that they fought for my right over my body. Yet, these are the same beknighted souls who will say if your baby has a genetic disease or is sick, “just get rid of it because it will make your life more complicated, troublesome, or sad.” Or, if you keep your sick, “defective” baby (their words), then their health care costs will go up.

I may be a Moderate, but I’m vehemently opposed to abortion on demand, my life was nearly destroyed by it years ago. I’m also opposed to anything that even smacks of population control and eugenics.
Are you a conservative Christian? Then go hunting for the people here at MM who are saying and doing and proposing things that give real conservatives a black eye. Direct your anger at people here at MM who are actually deserving of it. Those who see no problem with the various techniques of “population control” that are used for the purposes of racial purification and reducing the populations of ethnicities that they don’t like.
There are people here who espouse these ideas and they do nothing to hide it. The problem here at MM is clueless, apathetic conservatives who refuse to see what is right in front of their own eyes.
I’ve seen all of those ideas floated here. Other ideas that I’ve seen expressed are limiting immigration to only the “best and brightest” and denying citzenship to anyone who isn’t intelligent enough to deserve it… forbidding certain ethnic groups to speak in their mother tongue while demanding that they speak only the language of white Europeans, mass deportation of Mexicans including those who are US citizens, and far worse.
Do yourself a favor, learn to check your kneejerk hatred of moderates at the door… we’re not the enemy.
