Grow a pair, Obama

Barry,

So, you found this satirical New Yorker cover art “tasteless and offensive.”

Welcome to public life.

Guess what? In Washington, political cartoonists and caricaturists spare no one.

*Update* Chris at The Hot Joints reminds me of this truly disgusting cartoon run in the Obama-worshipping Rolling Stone magazine last month:

Here’s a reminder of the crap Condi Rice has had to deal with over the years:

1. The buck-naked bigotry of Ted Rall:

2. Jeff Danziger’s Condi-as-Prissy cartoon:

3. Pat Oliphant’s exaggerated-lipped parrot caricature:

Much more here.

But hey, that’s nothing compared to the assassination chic targeting President Bush:

Oh, and if you’re going to echo your wife’s claims of special victimhood and decry the satirical “attack” on her, go buy a copy of the Laura Bush-bashing novel, “American Wife,” read what they said about her trip to Afghanistan, and check out the diatribe published by the San Francisco Chronicle smearing her as a “docile doormat” and much worse.

Then, when you’re done digesting all that, wipe your nose, grow a pair, do your little Jay-Z dance move, and take your own advice to your daughters:

No whining.

It clashes with your glow.

***

Much more from Doug Ross and Rick Moran, who says: “Man up.”

You called me a troll and I called you a fool. You called me a name first..get it? Don’t be so dishonest. And besides calling you a fool I answered your post. There are conservatives on this site who probably don’t appreciate being called Liberal sycophants. Actually, I don’t think I’m above anybody. You however are very funny, and thanks for bringing a smile to a boring day. I’ll have my religious friends pray you.

    constant adhominem attacks

And you are completely, totally, irrellavant, uninformed, ignorant and basically a twit.

    Phony much, retired fire fighter?

    Have a nice, restful day.

Well just as many people feel that OBAMA is tasteless and offensive.

He’ll meet with the Palestian leadership, but won’t meet with General Petraeus.

He won’t meet with any of the brave men and women of the US Military..but insists that “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set, We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”

    CNN interview, 7/15/08

It’s a cartoon…and that’s why we’ve got the First Amendment,” Obama said. “And I think the American people are probably spending a little more time worrying about what’s happening with the banking system and the housing market, and what’s happening in Iraq and Afghanistan, than a cartoon. So I haven’t spent a lot of time thinking about it.”

“I’ve seen and heard worse,” he said. “I do think that, you know, in attempting to satirize something, they probably fueled some misconceptions about me instead. But, you know, that was their editorial judgment.
