Reader Tim C. in Tucscon sent me an e-mail about some completely unhinged open-borders activists who mobbed a book event for Sheriff Joe Arpaio. A group of young pro-illegal alien protesters repeatedly beats an effigy of Arpaio as Isabel Garcia–local reconquistadora and an official from the Pima County legal defender’s office–eggs them on. She then parades around with the effigy’s head as onlookers cheer and hoist up the rest of the battered body.
And they call us uncivil?
Unbelievable.

“Last week, we had an interesting situation here in Tucson that our local media, with the exception of one local talk radio host, seems to be afraid to cover.
Maricopa county sheriff Joe Arpaio has recently released a book and was in town for a signing at a Barnes and Noble store. Sheriff Arpaio is well know for his strict adherence for enforcing the laws and has some unique ways of dealing with offenders – county prisoners live in tents, work on chain gangs, etc. I would be surprised if you haven’t at least heard of him. Anyway, a local “civil rights” group, Derechos Humanos (http://www.derechoshumanosaz.net/) was on hand to protest his visit to Tucson. Isabel Garcia, is a member of the group’s board and holds a position with the Pima County Legal Defender’s office, was at this protest. I believe, and many others in Tucson agree, that Ms Garcia’s actions were way beyond what would be considered as an acceptable form of free speech from a member of the Bar association and as a county employee.
I’m hearing from many other upset Tucson residents. Reader Tyler writes:
For some reason (most likely a sympathic view/common ideology), her superiors, other city employees, and news agencies refuse to report on the situation, and those who are questioned see nothing wrong with her actions.
This is obviously in conflict with the ethical code of conduct she is expected to follow, and is clearly spelled out by the Arizona Bar Association: she is expected to behave in a respectable manner, in or out of office, and is not to show disresepct to fellow members of the legal institution.
Please give this story the attention in deserves.

Just confirms what I have already learned about the savages that continue to invade my country through its wide open borders. Yes, I am typing this with clenched teeth after watching this display. I have absolutely no faith in our federal government confronting this issue especially after seeing a public official taking part in this reprehensible behavior with absolutely no consequences (at least at this time). The “rule of law” and decent behavior in public is blatantly ignored and pretty soon people will be forced do more then post their disapproval on the internet, or try to get the attention of their arrogant and clueless Congress critters or other public officials to do something about this plague on our nation. I fear once again patriots will have to rise up and fight this broken government in the streets while driving the invaders out at bayonet point. I hope many are arming up because the more outspoken our unwelcome guests become the higher the body count will be along with more frequent incidents of atrocities visited on our communities and families. We either begin to fight back very soon or we are doomed to die as a sovereign and free nation.

Sen. McCain voted against the Cornyn Amendment (SA 1184) to S. 1385 to establish a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals. The Cornyn Amendment would have permanently barred from admission into the United States, and denied immigration benefits (including legal status under the amnesty in this bill), to: (1) absconders (i.e., aliens already ordered deported); (2) aliens deemed inadmissible or deportable as security risks (e.g., terrorists); (3) aliens who fail to register as sex offenders; (4) aliens convicted of certain firearms offenses; (5) aliens convicted of domestic violence, stalking, crimes against children, or violation of protection orders; (6) alien gang members; and (7) aliens convicted of at least three DUIs. The Cornyn Amendment failed by a vote of 46 to 51.

Isabel Garcia should be 1) fired and 2) arrested for what she did at Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s book signing the other day. If your not sure what I am talking about (I know you are) go to Michelle Malkin’s website. How could such a vile and blantantly anti-law stance be tolerated by others in your area, the bar association, and coming from a county employee and bar association member?
The sheriff is only upholding the law. We Americans are sick and tired of the drugs and crime coming freely across the Mexican border and we want something done about it. We have no trouble with people migrating legally, but this has gone way to far. A small step would be to reprimand, or fire, Ms. Garcia. She shows no respect for the law, law enforcement officers, or the people of America.

I keep hearing this, over and over, ad nauseum…other than NOT building the border fence, and NOT enforcing the current immigration law and not reformating the number of allowable alien inductees, where is this law failing?
Short of a sweeping Presidential decree, which is probably unconstitutional, how can any President affect immigration law? It has to come from the respective houses of congress, and only then signed or rejected by the POTUS.
Both candidates, and their surrogates are talking out their rear-ends. They can’t even come together, put partisanship aside, and help solve the current spike in gasoline prices. How in the heck does anyone expect them to do anything about illegal immigration?
As soon as Juan McCain and Splash Kennedy announced amnesty Mexico and other Latin American countries dumped their prisons on us. They have done it amnesty after amnesty.

There are two questions that people need to start asking themselves:
1. At what point does the First Ammendment stop and Treason and Sedition begin?
2. When will the authorities of this country begin to enforce the Treason and Sedition laws that are on the books, justifiably putting an end to all the “Separatist” organizations such as the “Aztlan” traitors and others?
I would like to hear from some politician somewhere that would answer those questions and actually do something about it other than pay it lip service.
I recall two summers ago a former co-worker and hispanic asking me to teach him how to shoot…which seemed out of character for him…at the time I had other things going on and never helped him…but I do now find it interesting how this was just a few months before that illegal alien protest rally in Sept. 2006.

John S, you have to consider a few things when suggesting that Garcia be arrested. First of all, it can be argued that they didn’t mean to advocate violence, that they were only trying to say that “Joe needs to be beaten out of office.” It would be a crock and everyone would know it, but far less intelligent arguments have won in court (OJ, anyone?).
I don’t think this amounts to treason or sedition; supporting Aztlan does, but not this particular display. This would fall more under the threatening and intimidation heading, and I agree wholeheartedly that it can be taken that way.
What irritates me the most is that garbage like this makes anyone who is against Arpaio look like a thundering lunatic.

Bill, I’m suggesting that Al Qaeda can sneak in via the Southern Border so we must fix that.
Here’s my idea on how to fix it:
1, Cut off all federal funding to sanctuary cities and states.
2, Punish, and I mean Punish heavily, the CEO’S of companies hiring Illegal alieans.
3, Make Jamiel’s law a national law.
4, Build the Fence and anybody crossing is charged with a felony.
5, Elect officials on city, state and national levels that oppose open border candidates and vote out those wanting amnesty.
6, Protect our law enforcement from those suing them for doing there jobs.
I know Newt is not running, and do you know why he couldn’t run? Because of McCain Feingold.
But you know what? I’m still writing his name because I have that option. Isn’t America Great?
Here is what I would suggest you McCain supporters to do (if you care). Instead of attacking people that refuse to vote for your guy because he panders to the illegals, spend your time convincing McCain that he’s wrong on the issue. We, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, have already told him that. BUt HE, as pointed out earlier on this thread, Agrees with THE MAJORITY.
That’s all. If you get McAmnesty to switch on that position, I’ll hold my nose and vote for the Grump.
Until then, Newt gets my vote. I will be a vote waster, but I will be voting Conservative Republican. Not a waste in my mind. A waste is voting for a Liberal Democrat, which is a vote for Obama and McCain.

I sincerely love this county. Yes, I object to illegal immigration however, since both candidates are soft on it I have resolved myself to fighting it through action in the congress and donating to political action comities that will work to that end.

No, I don’t think so. Jesus Canales (the guy fighting in Afghanistan) was what I came up when I used Google images. I happen to think that Americans of Hispanic origin like that guy are assets to the USA and have done more to serve the USA then many people who have family that have been here (probably) a lot longer.

What I can’t figure out is that if John McCain and his operatives can arrange the time visit (pander to) La Raza to win votes that already have (and will stay) with Obama, then he should have been on top of this incident by supporters of illegal immigration to use it score points by illustrating how McCain is different from Obama on this issue…instead he is at this point dead silent on an incident like this in his own home state…what will critics think?..their political instincts will convince many of them that McCain is not serious about border security…. this is my point.

I will not submit to them any more than I will submit to Muslim rule. In the past I have been supportive of them after we implicitly invited them with our ridiculously open borders. Now I feel they should be rooted out and tossed back into Mexico where they belong. (If they are not Mexican, then let Mexico sort them out.)

The only thing sad and disgusting is the La Raza twins (you know McCain and Obama) handing over this country to people who broke the law to get here in the first place. Not only did they break the law, they flaunt it and demand our taxpayer dollars to feed, clothe, house, educated, and medicate them.
