BO: Damn you conservatives for taking my wife seriously!
Getting back on message after the New Yorker “lynching,” Barack Obama is refocusing on us right-wing rabble-rousers.
Or in his words: “Fox News and the National Review and columnists of every ilk.”

Yep, he’s whining to Glamour magazine–the print equivalent of, oh, Access Hollywood, about us meanies who listen to his bitter half on the campaign trail and hold her accountable for her public statements.
Curses on us!
GLAMOUR: An AP poll shows that while the positive ratings on Michelle are higher than those of Cindy McCain, her negative ratings are higher as well. I’m curious about how as a husband that makes you feel. Does it mystify you? And what do you want to say to those Americans who don’t know the woman that you know?
SENATOR OBAMA: It’s infuriating, but it’s not surprising, because let’s face it: What happened was that the conservative press—Fox News and the National Review and columnists of every ilk—went fairly deliberately at her in a pretty systematic way…and treated her as the candidate in a way that you just rarely see the Democrats try to do against Republicans. And I’ve said this before: I would never have my campaign engage in a concerted effort to make Cindy McCain an issue, and I would not expect the Democratic National Committee or people who were allied with me to do it. Because essentially, spouses are civilians. They didn’t sign up for this. They’re supporting their spouse. So it took a toll.
On a separate front, Obama’s minions at MoveOn are gathering signatures to protest the “racist” “smears” against the holy couple. (Background: Anti-Fox hounds rally ’round Michelle O.”)
Just underscores my point about trying to appease the un-appease-able Left.

Let’s see, Michelle is a distraction and Iraq is a distratcion. I guess Jeremiah Wright was a distraction, too. Anything that might remove the luster from his aura is a distraction. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
I will be honest. Not so keen on Michelle.. she doesn’t have the Laura Bush boss-eyed look.
He cannot see and therefore understand the criticisms made about his wife because he and she share the same beliefs.
The puppeteers have to come from behind and whisper “Senator, those (core) beliefs of hers/yours won’t get you votes”.

The reason Cindy McCain isn’t being made an issue in this campaign is because she’s keeping her mouth shut.
If Michelle O would keep her trap shut and stop whining about how horrible things are for her, she wouldn’t be an issue.
But, they will never understand.
If people simply reprint something Michelle Obama says in a very public campaign speech… that’s mean? He acts like someone bugged their house and reported her private conversations. Any person making public speech chooses to publicize their thoughts and words. How is it wrong to reprint those?
I would love to see Obama toss his wife, metaphorically speaking of course, under the bus. But it appears she got to his manhood long before Jesse did. But it’s not too late for him to recover some of his dignity. You can do it, Oh Mighty O!
Okay – new strategy.
Let’s not take Mrs. Obama seriously at all. Every time she says something, let’s laugh at her or ignore her completely.
That’ll work until…Obama criticizes us for not taking his wife seriously. Then we’ll all be misogynistic pigs who don’t take powerful women seriously.

It’s not a smear when you are telling the truth. If Obama doesn’t want his wife criticized, then she shouldn’t be out giving speeches bashing our country. Seriously, who wants an angry First Lady with an agenda in the White House? Do people really want a First Lady representing our country who not only isn’t proud of the US but thinks we are a mean country?
The problem for Obama is that we got an honest look at Michelle. Bummer.
What BO doesn’t seem to understand is that conservatives aren’t “attacking” MO because that’s just what conservatives do… au contraire. We are leveling these so-called attacks at her because of the un-American things she has said. In essence, it’s what she has said that has him trying his hand at damage control.
Just because she represents herself as the psycho, bioch from hell is no reason for us evil conservatives to assume that she is one. If Obama wants us to perceive her differently, then he needs to buy some duck tape.
Ok, I want to pick his statement apart a bit. It’s telling.
1. Our “ilk” just happened to be paying attention. It’s not like she’s said these things just once, or that she’s being quiet and simply standing around. She makes public statements about issues, and expects people to just not listen. She has the same mentality as “No Nuts” Jackson, whose recent comments were said under his breath, but were something he was really thinking. People like this dont want us to know what they think, and dont want us to pay attention when we hear it.
2. Of course its systematic. Why would we just go off all willy nilly about it? I’m sorry if people are being systematic, which would indicate they’re being intelligent and methodical about actually listening to what is said.
3. “rarely” must be a relative term. For instance, I “rarely” take a crap in relation to the number of times I blink during the course of a given day. But rarely, and regularly are very different things. Democrats regularly attack republican spouses. There’s a book, oh whats the title…ya know, the one thats been covered here…about, ummmmm, Laura Bush…..ya know, that book that slams her repeatedly and is as rude as it gets…..man, whats that called?!?!? Or all those people on that site…KOsomething?….who are always talking trash about cindy…or media outlet personalities on MSNBC….some old sportscaster guy….cant remember what he’s said lately…..but you get the idea.

4. As a point of clarification, its not McCain’s camp going after MO. He said specifically what “ilk” has been going after her, and i dont see alot of McCain endorsement or logos everywhere. If he chooses not to, that’s his call. But trying to tie into the discussion the fact its partisan on McCain’s part, while saying its coming from other people, doesn’t really make alot of sense in this case.
And he’s right..they are civilians. But they *did* sign up for this. They agreed to come along, to participate, and I’m sure that D’obama didn’t decide this kind of path in his life without input from his wife. Saying they should be left out because they aren’t actually the candidate is off the mark I believe.

If what Michelle Obama blurts out in her speeches is indicative of what she’s often saying to and around her husband, some of that elitist negativity is bound to rub off — indeed, already has rubbed off. And wasn’t it was Michelle Obama who introduced her husband to Jeremiah Wright?
You can judge them by the fruits of their labors, and by the company they keep.
You know, if Obama is giving a speech in Germany on his upcoming European trip; is he delivering it in German?

Seriously, it is a consistent pattern (that is also, ironically enough, a trait most narcissists have in common) that I’ve picked up on for the past year or so.
It could easily be pieced together to expose his use of this calculated phrase so that people won’t question what he says. He says this to manipulate others into believing that his word is truth because subconsciously they’ll think that there is some indisputable “record” of this… since, of course, he has been “saying this from the beginning…..”.

Obama reminds me of Prof. Irwin Corey. He says an awful lot, but you go away shaking your head, wondering what the heck he said. So, in an attempt to understand it all, you look at him the following week, saying exactly opposite what he said before, and you still go away, shaking your head. It appears his supporters don’t care, they just like him. George Carlin once came on stage, and stood there, saying nothing for 3 minutes, then said, “thank you” and walked away.
