Geez, I thought that the two Texas dunces who protested the phrase “black holes” had won the grievance-mongering morons of the year award.

She is decrying the New Yorker cartoon of the Obamas as a “lynching.” Hey, never mind that it’s the critics of Obama who are the subject of the cartoon’s “lynching.” Evers-Williams’ cartoon comprehension score: F-. Some people to need to be kept away from the microphone.
An NAACP leader, who saw her husband killed decades ago for his civil rights work, said Tuesday that presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife, Michele, are undergoing “political lynching” in the media.
Myrlie Evers-Williams, 75, the widow of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers, told an NAACP luncheon group Tuesday that political spin masters and the news media are painting the Obamas as unpatriotic and dangerous radicals. She said the attacks are serious enough to use the term lynching, even though that usually refers to racially-motivated killings.
Evers-Williams, a chairwoman emeritus of the civil rights organization, said New Yorker magazine’s recent cover is an example. The magazine’s cartoon cover shows a turban-clad Barack Obama bumping knuckles with a gun-toting Michele Obama as an American flag burns in a fireplace…

This dribble is but latest act of a very long tradition of pathetic and desperate cries for relevancy by the NAACP. They long ago sold out to race-baiting and poverty pimping. This rotting corpse has only been allowed to remain among the undead by Democrats and the MSM who find it useful to stir up blacks before the elections. And it has been working fairly well for over 30 years. Despite having done nothing for Baltimore, the HQ, they are still the place craven and venal politicians go to seek black “approval.”

I wanted to mention what a shame that people like this woman keep bringing up “lynching” and in the same way, do a disservice to the black community.
Many blacks paid for HER civil rights with their lives. Does she get that or are their deaths just so much more politically expedient for the joy of using that word like some self-fulfilling prophecy or something?
I wonder if all the family members of those who’ve been lynched would accept such “death politicization?” It’s really a shame.
One more thing, it must be so “hard” to be black like her. Accuse others of “lynching” when they criticize you or even immortalize you in a cartoon.

It was more a dig at Mrs. Evers-Williams. What she had to say struck a nerve with me that I only seem to experience when I learn of something Jesse and Al has said or done. Personally, I’ve had it with people who choose to live their lives stuck in the past and bringing future generations down with them.
The black community is doing a bang up job of that all on their own.
They’re dead and gone and she doesn’t need to concern herself with them. However, for those civil rights activists who are alive and well, her viewpoints are right on par with theirs. “Whitey” can’t do anything for the black community which why these middlemen (Jesse, Al and their organizations) are needed. All “whitey” is good for keeping their programs well funded.
They’ll probably turn their attention to it once, or I should say if Obama is elected. They won’t rock the boat just yet… need those votes to get the Messiah elected.

She’s had a hard life, lost loved ones in the war against racism, and has a story to be told, albeit from her perspective. That perspective, apparently, has been skewed by her hatred, self-inflicted burdens, losses, and counsel from like-minded grievance mongers.
It has to have been a hard row to hoe, and I think she deserves to leave this life feeling that she has done some good for her “people.” Poor thing.

I’m so tired of the NAACP and the double standards they condone. Jesse Jackson can say the n-word and threaten to cut Obamas nuts off (castration was also a method of “punishment” enacted during lynching) and he gets excused. I don’t see Sharpton or the NAACP forming rallies and parades through the streets of Manhattan to protest the use of the n-word, which, when uttered by a black person is ok and not nearly as offensive as a white person saying nappy headed hoes.
Of course, when President Bush nominated Janice Rogers Brown to the bench, she was lambasted by the NAACP and cartoons comparing her to Clarence Thomas.
Of course, that wasn’t political lynching because this particular African American, Brown, didn’t agree with the STEREOTYPE that the NAACP promotes. I guess that makes it all ok to attack her then.
You’ll also find that Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy defends the use of the cartoon against Janice Rogers Brown likening it to cartoons used against himself!
I doubt that he’ll be saying the same thing about the Obama cartoon!

There was a political cartoon in the Washington Times about a year and a half ago making fun of the Obama phenomenon.
It showed a young, sluttish looking woman in Daisy Dukes with an “Obama for President” cut off t-shirt. She says, “I don’t know nothing about you, but I WANT you.”
That could sum up the average ridiculous Democratic voter for Obama.
