NAACP race-monger: Obama was “lynched” by a cartoon!

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 17, 2008 08:58 AM

Geez, I thought that the two Texas dunces who protested the phrase “black holes” had won the grievance-mongering morons of the year award.

They’ve got competition.

Enter Myrlie Evers-Williams, NAACP official and widow of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers. She is decrying the New Yorker cartoon of the Obamas as a “lynching.” Hey, never mind that it’s the critics of Obama who are the subject of the cartoon’s “lynching.” Evers-Williams’ cartoon comprehension score: F-. Some people to need to be kept away from the microphone.

For crying out loud:

An NAACP leader, who saw her husband killed decades ago for his civil rights work, said Tuesday that presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife, Michele, are undergoing “political lynching” in the media.

Myrlie Evers-Williams, 75, the widow of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers, told an NAACP luncheon group Tuesday that political spin masters and the news media are painting the Obamas as unpatriotic and dangerous radicals. She said the attacks are serious enough to use the term lynching, even though that usually refers to racially-motivated killings.

Evers-Williams, a chairwoman emeritus of the civil rights organization, said New Yorker magazine’s recent cover is an example. The magazine’s cartoon cover shows a turban-clad Barack Obama bumping knuckles with a gun-toting Michele Obama as an American flag burns in a fireplace…

…Evers-Williams, a chairwoman emeritus of the civil rights organization, said New Yorker magazine’s recent cover is an example. The magazine’s cartoon cover shows a turban-clad Barack Obama bumping knuckles with a gun-toting Michele Obama as an American flag burns in a fireplace.

“As I watch the political scene unfold, I realize there is more than one way to lynch someone,” said Evers-Williams. “I look at the picture of the New Yorker and to me that was subtle, political lynching. You can call it satire if you want.”

And that, dear readers, is what we call self-satire.

Obama needs to grow a pair. This woman needs to grow a brain.

You got one right! We can’t help it because the Obama’s are so damn funny. Hopefully we will spend more time laughing about his, ah ah ah policies (if thats the right word) in the future, because that’s where most the material is.

Your opinion of the GOP is not the topic of discussion here.

I am sure that there are many other web sites that cater to your tastes, and I would suggest that you avail yourself of these websites that would welcome you and be grateful from your participation with them.

This is not the case here. Please get the hint.

That is debatable. Susan Estrich thinks that the poll numbers are very worrisome for Obama at this stage, especially with all the divine media coverage. Dukakis was leading by more in 1988:

So here’s the bottom line. The polls make me nervous. Not desperate, not hopeless, not resigned, but nervous. Barack Obama should be ahead right now. Way ahead. Not even close is how it should look, even though I wouldn’t for a minute tell you that if it were that would seal the deal. But the fact that my old candidate Mike Dukakis was running better 20 years ago against George Bush than Obama is today against John McCain makes me nervous.

I think Obamunists might be suicidal when their cult hero doesn’t win in November.

If McCain wins, the real radicals will call the election “stolen” and might even start violence over it.

That pretty much sums it up. LGM is the quintessential thread hijacker. Michelle could post something about fishing for largemouth bass and he’d chime in with his latest anti-Bush/Republican talking points.

But isnt that the very same thing you do here in a regular basis? You’re claiming others are doing the same exact thing YOU are doing. If you’re going to argue the point, at least dont be hypocritical about it.

There are plenty of places other than here that still discuss this.

Putting aside for a second that the cartoon was not even a criticism of Obama, it is pretty clear that this is what we should expect to be seeing for the next 4 years. Any criticism of the Dalai ‘Bama will be framed as racism or some sort of “lynching”.

So it’s ok to have a big sign saying ‘F*CK BUSH’ and depictions of a hand holding up Bush’s decapitated head, but not to hold a sign saying ‘F*CK OBAMA’ with a depiction of Obama being lynched?
    Can you say double standard?

slightly off topic, but Venus Williams was on Larry King last night and King towed the lib party line asking her if it wasn’t true that she must have had it so much tougher growing up than all the other tennis players on the tour because she was black …
Venus didn’t miss a beat and said that probably the women who grew up in Eastern Europe and Moscow had it a lot worse and “worse ghettos” and that she had a good family etc.

It was amazing… talented beautiful, smart and fair young woman….

She is as big an idiot as lgm. I have yet to hear any mainstream media do anything but sing the praises of B. HUSSIEN OHBOOBOOINMYPANTS.

the Obamas as unpatriotic and dangerous radicals.

YES, I THINK THEY ARE. If that makes me a racist so be it.

Someone is going to get rich writing a book about the most comical/pathetic examples of PC’ness. The black community of today just keeps disgracing the brave and justifiably aggrieved black community of the real civil rights era: circa 1950’s, 1960’s.
