Reminder: What we can expect from the traveling Obamedia

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 17, 2008 10:20 AM

I’m sure you’ve seen the spate of stories about all the big media stars who will be accompanying Barack Obama on his world tour next week. Katie, Brian, Charlie, blah, blah, blah. Looks like a grand circus in the making.

What can we expect? Well, we’ve seen it before. And I’m sure we’ll see it again. The oooh-hing. The aaaah-ing. The oooooo-gling. Remember?

Don’t forget to pack the smelling salts!

If this is the direction network nitwit news wants to take its audience, then fine. Let them.

But they should be forewarned that just because they want to lead us in blind support for B. Hussein Obama, it doesn’t mean we will follow. After all, network news broadcasts have been declining steadily for nearly two decades - especially since Fox News came on the scene.

So let’em throw what’s left of their credibility to the wind and send their few remaining viewers away in droves - who cares? I’m sure FNC and the blogosphere will do just dandy with the additional viewer-readship.

It was nice for the subjective, ignorant, ivory tower dwelling Math man to chime in today and remind us why the masses think the presidential elections should be conducted like American Idol.

Oh, our Founders would weep for the consequences of such ignorance. I didn’t much like Thomas Jefferson, but he, and many other Founders worried about mob rule and political parties. It would appear not ony have both political parties lost sight of the real meaning of Republic but also why it the US was founded in the first place. It would also appear that mob rule, in terms of our new “freebie class” of people who brought down the mortgage industry (and boy, I guess that class would include politicians, deadbeats, bankers) have taken over.

How do you compute that, Mathman.

Be specific - and remember, we’re talking Chicago politics: either by extension or indirect association, there are very few degrees of separation between Ayers, the Weathermen and the Chicago Democrat machine that brought B Hussein Obama to the U.S. Senate/national stage.

We are bombarded by Obama and the DNC CONSTANTLY. And since it’s also a historic occasion - 100 years since the 1908 DNC, it’s even worse. And they’re practically shutting down the city that week.

They’re shutting down I-25 because Obama has a need to pretend he’s the next coming of MLK and needs to have 50,000+ people in Invesco stadium to hear his speech.

They’re shutting down Speer, Colfax, and Auraria, three of our main arteries into and out of downtown for protesters, parades, and Dems who can’t seem to take normal traffic, etc. They’re shutting down the Metro college campus too and turning off the wireless so that it can’t be hacked by those peace-loving demonstrators.

The client I’m working for downtown had to form a committee to try and figure out how to stay open for business with the host hotels across the street and half the streets closed. We’re going to have Denver cops in our building and company security on our floors. Ugh.

I’m not messing with any of it, although watching the nutjobs run around would be entertaining. Fortunately, I can work from home when I need to. And I’ll REALLY need to that week. I’ll just save myself some gas too.
