    Attention purist conservatives:

Looks like James Dobson is now supporting McCain for POTUS.

In an advance copy provided to The Associated Press, Dobson said that while neither candidate is consistent with his views, McCain’s positions are closer by a wide margin.

“There’s nothing dishonorable in a person rethinking his or her positions, especially in a constantly changing political context,” Dobson said in a statement to the AP. “Barack Obama contradicts and threatens everything I believe about the institution of the family and what is best for the nation.

His radical positions on life, marriage and national security force me to reevaluate the candidacy of our only other choice, John McCain.

Of his new position, Dobson said in the statement to the AP, “If that is a flip-flop, then so be it.”

He’s not alone. So have 100 other conservative Christian leaders.

Report: Christian Conservative Leaders Unite to Support McCain
    by FOXNews.com
    Thursday, July 3, 2008

In a seemingly symbolic move, 100 conservative Christian leaders agreed to unite behind the presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain at a meeting Tuesday in Denver, Colo., Time.com reports.

McCain may have become the default choice for some of those leaders, who expressed doubt about presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama. One guest present at the meeting said the motivation behind uniting and offering collective support was closely tied to a desire to defeat Obama.

“None of these people want to meet their maker knowing that they didn’t do everything they could to keep Barack Obama from being president,” Time.com reports the participant said.

Looks like this one completely slipped by our ever-vigilant hostess. I wonder why.

Greenfield actually said that this media coverage will “not be North Korean television covering Kim Il Sung 11″. Actually, that would be an improvement!
Mr. Greenfield worked for Senator Robert Kennedy and New York Mayor John Lindsay before working on network television. Chris Matthews worked for Tip O’Neill. Nobody at the three networks worked for a Republican and that will never happen.

You might have wanted to read the opening 2-3 paragraphs of that article, Rose, before you start thread jacking…

Conservative Christian leader James Dobson has softened his stance against Republican presidential hopeful John McCain, saying he could reverse his position and endorse the Arizona senator despite serious misgivings.

“I never thought I would hear myself saying this,” Dobson said in a radio broadcast to air Monday. “… While I am not endorsing Senator John McCain, the possibility is there that I might.”

Dobson and other evangelical leaders unimpressed by McCain increasingly are taking a lesser-of-two-evils approach to the 2008 race…

There was a more appropriate part you should have put in bold print on the other article

McCain may have become the default choice for some of those leaders, who expressed doubt about presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama. One guest present at the meeting said the motivation behind uniting and offering collective support was closely tied to a desire to defeat Obama.

I don’t suspect voting for McCain will “save [my] soul.” But, as the “lesser-of-two-evils” and the “default choice”, I may end up voting for him. But, don’t get lost in the idea that he is some gift from God. He might be a consolation prize but nothing more.

Most of these look like jealousy. They focus on Obama’s clearly superior character. Freud would have a field day with your images.

LGM: Freud was a doped up sex feind. Why am I not suprised you would follow his thoughts? anyway, if you think Oobama has a “clearly superior character” then you know little about the guy. Did you know that he attended a church based in black liberation theology for 22 years and then tried to say he just didn’t notice, for 22 YEARS? If you believe that from any candidate, then you are a blind follower. If you attend any group for 22 years you know what is going on there.

As Freud might have said, sometimes mocking, satirical commentary is just mocking, satirical commentary. It’s not our fault Obama and his followers give us so much material.

Given Freud’s angle, I think he would have had a better time with how good looking (#21) you keep noting (#35) Obama to be, lgm.

Coincidently, I was starting to think something similiar about lgm’s posts with regard to conservatives.

One reason is that even lgm knows his policies are wacko.

Tennyson Hayes has my vote. Brian Williams has been a “Democret” since the age of 7–Obama’s had presidential aspirations since kindergarten, so they’ll make a good team. Charles and Katie are team players, and her finger salute shows the motivation of much on the biased MSM left. A world tour needs major suck-up from the Big Three, and this has it.

How about taking the Obama Girls and super-imposing the heads of these news anchors on them throughout the videos. If I recall correctly, weren’t there three of them in the Obama Girls vs. Giuliani Girls video? ;-)
