Kwame unhinged: Detroit mayor in reported racial tirade/assault
Kwame Kilpatrick is a real gem. The latest? His personal bond has been revoked and his travel restricted after he reportedly threw a detective off a porch in the middle of a racial temper tantrum. The good news (or rather, the bad news): He’s still allowed to attend the Democratic National Convention!

A 36th District Court judge restricted Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s travel and revoked his personal bond today during a bond hearing, one day after the mayor was accused of assaulting a detective.
The mayor, who was on a personal bond, will now have to pay 10 percent of $75,000 to stay free, Judge Ronald Giles, a 36th district court judge, ordered.
Kilpatrick will be allowed to keep already approved business travel, including attending the Democratic National Convention in Denver. But all personal travel is prohibited. He is also required to participate in drug testing.
Giles addressed Kilpatrick and said, “You are a licensed attorney you are a public official. Everything you do and everything you say is in someway recorded and obviously it’s something you have to think about.”
Prosecutors had asked that Kilpatrick’s personal bond be revoked and he have to “put money up,” said Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Robert Moran in court today.
Prosecutors believe Kilpatrick violated his bond when he got into a scuffle with a representative of the prosecutor’s office Thursday afternoon. Moran said the mayor exhibited “assaultive conduct.”
Detective Brian White, assigned to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, said Kilpatrick threw him off the porch of a home owned by his sister and the mayor engaged in an obscenity and racially motivated tirade.
White was the officer who booked Kilpatrick. His partner is investigator Joann Kinney.
White testified that the mayor said to his partner: “How can you be a black woman and work on this case?”
In March, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Kilpatrick and his former chief of staff Christine Beatty with conspiracy, obstruction of justice, perjury and official misconduct in a case related to their testimony at a police whistle-blower trial in 2007.
On Thursday afternoon, the mayor also said, according to White, “Leave my f—ing family alone” and “get the f— out of here” and instructed other people at the home “Don’t tell those f—ers anything.”
It’s hard out there for a corruptocrat.

Detroit has never fully recovered from the riots of the 60’s. The blacks, who make up a majority of the population continually vote black criminals to lead Detroit further into the sewer.
Being a native Michigander, from 11 mile road and John R., it saddens me that Detroit is filled with black racists like Kwame. Even worse are the morons that continue to vote black only, democrat only fools. Detroit, you are getting what you deserve. God help the voiceless in this hopeless city.

Requiring public officals to be “drug free” is a pretty unreasonable standard. That’s basically asking them to obey the law, or something.

I love it when the liberals complain about securing Fallujah or Anbar Province when they can’t even secure Detroit.
Perhaps the left is correct. When a war is completely lost, we have a moral obligation to pull all of the troops out of a civil war and get them to safety.
Therefore, we should remove the police and soldiers from Detroit and redeploy them to Iraq where they can actually make a difference.

Ironic that the detective’s name is White. Regardless, doesn’t assaulting a police officer usually equate to a prison term? Or are there separate rules for black race-baiting mayors? Silly question. Probably the judge is scared of being labeled a racist. The racist comments he made is another matter. He should be removed from his position as mayor immediately.

I’m living and dying in Detroit, but I’d still never move to LA. Kwame Kilpatrick will only leave with guns blazing—his favorite movie is “The Godfather” because he likes how it shows the Mafia families sticking together. I’m hoping his mom, Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, is the first to go by losing her Aug. 5 primary. She running against two black women, both former state legislators. She met them on a Detroit area TV talk show this week, and railed that one was not even qualified to carry her bra. Congressman Rangel and Speaker Pelosi came to town this week to stump for her. And Emily’s List endorsed her re-election. The moneyed and powerful have things well in hand for the Kilpatrick clan–but two weeks more will tell the tale.
Kilpatrick is a Democrat version of profile in courage and another example of may be may be not law enforcement. I can’t say enough about the short comings for his subculture and Detroit. What a waste of carbon.

It’s times like this we should be thankful for the rule of law and that we’ve kept corruption down to a reasonable level. You’ve going to get these kinds, but hopefully there are enough people of integrity and a system to support them to get rid of this guy before he brings down the whole city. What am I saying. We’re talking about Detroit. Well, anyway.

The US is a relatively new nation, with its pockets of poverty evolving–even Jesus said we would always have the poor with us. Using your logic we deserved Jimmy Carter, and if Obama gets Carter’s “second term” we’ll deserve it–so enjoy, and lighten up a bit.

Thank you for helping me make a decision… I have long been on the fence about the death penalty, but now with good concience I can support the execution of corrupt elected officials, at any level.

I would dare say that Detroit is already gone.
I am under no illusion that Detroit will ever be any thing but what it is.
If it happens and that city emerges through some stroke of fate. Fine.
But to imagine anything in that city will change in our lifetimes might be like waiting on the tooth fairy. In my opinion that ship has already went down.

And they STILL have it all. That being said, I think the majority of working and middle class are just quietly moving upwards and are way to busy living their lives to be bothered with loudmouth self-appointed leaders for the black community. Sort of the silent majority within the minority.

This is signs of a sheltered childhood or perhaps gentler times in the 50s. I seem to remember that immigrants would often change their names to reflect their desire to become “Americans”. Now we see blacks adopting African names to show their desire to not be Americans. They also seem to be adopting African ways. Kilpatrick makes me think of Mugabe. I guess that’s what you get when you have opportunists like Pfleger and Wright preaching victimhood and entitlement for decades on end.

You didn’t tell us your age, but you are at least 50. So as a baby in Detroit you deserved Mayor Richard W. Reading. While members of the Greatest Generation were fighting WWII, Detroit’s white mayor, Richard Reading, and many other city officials, were caught on the take in the numbers racket. As Mayor Reading was led away after his conviction in 1942, he cried out “This is the greatest injustice since the crucifixion of Jesus Christ!” Your parents must have been pinheads to vote this moron into office. Here is an account of the judge that cleaned up Detroit at that time. Kwame Kilpatrick won both times by small amounts–he will not win a third term.

Racial hatred by black leadership has taken precedence over the lives of black children for decades. This has been fueled by the positive feedback by white Progressives who have encouraged this resentment through a distorted lens by both the entertainment industry and the academy. Sadly, these sentiments will be part of American life for many decades to come.

But what I find absolutley too funny is his comment to the black female detective. He’s angry she was doing her job and angry she was in a car witha a man NAMED White?
I find the “rules” black men place on black women very interesting. Forget dating a white man. Don’t be in a car with a man named White. Meanwhile black men with white women can be found on TV day and night as stylish and black men seem to make it a perverted sport to nail white women. Yet another black double standard.
Those voters that elect politicians such as Kwame have been ingrained with the same hate that “Rev” Wright spews. It’s in all the cities with large minority populations surviving in violence, fear, and hopelessness. “There is no way out, the system will not work for you, it’s worse on the ‘outside.’” They’ve been conditioned to fear the real world and white injustice more than their current abysmal situation. It’s a grand illusion sold to them by the likes of Jackson, Sharpton, the DNC, MSM, Hollywood, et. al.
If you’ve never experienced the pleasure of success from sacrifice and you have no hope of improvement, then it’s easy to take your misery out on those you see that have more. Especially when you’ve been taught that you have no chance at success and will be rejected and brutalized by those not like you.
This train started 40 years ago and I don’t see anyway to stop it. But, to me, the DNC is as bad as the slave-owners of old. Except the slave-owners didn’t lie about their intentions.
