Isn’t this even a little bit funny? Can’t you get into the Fox groove of hyperventilating about his “world citizen” line? How small (petty) the Republican opposition has become!

I’d say talking about a candidate’s sweat is small and petty.

Of course, LGM, Fox News is much more successful than the liberal media, and because they have more of an audience, they really can’t afford to waste too much time on trivial things.

But, I guess when you’re news ratings are dropping, and your newspaper is on the verge of bankruptcy, hey, you gotta “sweat” the small stuff

I wonder if Obama would sweat if he was in the same room as the Iranian president or Chavez? Or maybe deep down, he realizes the conservatives would save him?

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along
that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his
visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got
off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet
with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and
didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General.
As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big
top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with
weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He
again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their
service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home
that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to
make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that
are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas
Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the
President of the United States . I just don’t understand how anyone would
want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared
to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know
what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is
all fake.

Here you are, getting all bent out of shape about how “this blog”, as you put it, reporting on all the gaffes, mis-statements, mistakes etc. that The Chosen One makes on a daily basis, yet you and anyone else who has their nose bent out of shape about it, refuse to admit just what hypocrites you are.

After 8+years of being made to listen to what the Liberals and Lefties have come to tem “Bushisms”, which have lead to countless comedian fodder, several books, monthly calendars, daily desk calendars and any number of articles, commentary and just plain foolishness, i would think that since your candidate is attempting to take over where Pres. Bush has left off, you would find them all just as funny, worthy of the many ways in which you hypocrites deemed necessary to try and continually embarrass the President of the United States.

As you all have attempted to claim that Pres. Bush’s “gaffes” or whatever you like to call what The Messiah does, is proof positive of what an idiot he is, that he is uneducated and poorly suited to be the Leader of the Free World, that the very same standards should be used for your guy.

But alas, as always, the hypocrisy completely exades you and once again, what is just fine and expected from you and your ilk, all of a sudden becomes taboo and off limits etc., when the tables are turned.

Nothing says hypocrite like when a Liberal/Democrat/Lefty opens their festering gop.

There is no way the right wing press would have said anything bad about a visit to the wounded sans the Obama entourage.

See we believe in this mission, we wouldn’t tarnish any real visit. Even if the visitor lacked any substance and was a total douche bag.

My response isn’t important. Frankly, if he had gone to Landstuhl without press coverage, it wouldn’t have been a news story. I’m certain, he wouldn’t have been the first liberal or the first Democrat to visit Landstuhl.

The wounded soldiers, sailors and airmen have the right to refuse visitors. It’s their wishes that count. That plus the lack media coverage depoliticizes visits.

It’s more a sequence of events than a timeline. And yes, I am drawing a conclusion from the sequence of events.

BTW, having understood Obam-uh’s voting record and policy positions since the start of primary season I decided long ago I could never vote for him. The Landstuhl switcheroo doesn’t change my opinion an iota.

No he wouldn’t. LRMC welcomes all Congressional visitors. The LRMC staff are extremely proud of the care they provide and enjoy showing visitors what they do.

What about if that Congressional visitor was in the middle of a run for the White House? Again, how would you respond if Obama made the visit? Right-ring radio and blogosphere would be talking about these poor, sick, wounded troops being “USED”, and how Obama is just now, visiting him for the first time as he’s running for the WhiteHouse.

The official said “We didn’t know why” the request to visit the wounded troops was withdrawn. “He (Obama) was more than welcome. We were all ready for him.”

This simply causes people like you and me to speculate. It gives no answers. You assume the worst, because you dislike Barack Obama, and I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt, and clearly understand why he wouldn’t want to be called an exploiter of wounded soldiers. If a something leaked from someone with actual knowledge of some alleged snub over photo-ops, I’d consider the possiblities. Otherwise, I just see him in a no-win situation concerning the issue. Rightwingers would crap on him either way, and I’d rather be known as a snubber than an user/exploiter, if I had to pick my poison.

A U.S. military official tells NBC News they were making preparations for Sen. Barack Obama to visit wounded troops at the Landstuhl Medical Center at Ramstein, Germany on Friday, but “for some reason the visit was called off.”

One military official who was working on the Obama visit said because political candidates are prohibited from using military installations as campaign backdrops, Obama’s representatives were told, “he could only bring two or three of his Senate staff member, no campaign officials or workers.” In addition, “Obama could not bring any media. I could be wrong about his motives in wanting to avoid the appearance of exploitation(I doubt it), but I’m certainly correct that folks like you would criticize anything he does.
