Protest tomorrow: San Francisco residents sick and tired of sanctuary

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 29, 2008 03:26 PM

Nancy Pelosi may not care about San Francisco’s inhumane and reckless illegal alien sanctuary policies.

But a growing number of Bay Area residents have had enough.

There’s a protest tomorrow on the steps of SF’s city hall. Reader David sends details. Make your voice heard:

Hi Michelle!

Could you please publicize this upcoming protest on your site…

Protest to demand the resignation of Mayor Newsom and the end of SF’s criminal alien shield (otherwise known as the Sanctuary City Policy).

San Francisco City Hall
Wednesday, July 30th
11 A.M.

The call was put out by the Minuteman Project (link: http://www.minutemanproject.com/newsmanager/templates/mmp.asp?articleid=397&zoneid=1), but we are asking all Bay Area folks, conservative and liberal, who are fed up with this insane and suicidal policy to join us. If you can’t come in person, please email Mayor Newsom, DA Kamala Harris, and the media and tell them you support this protest.

Thanks Michelle. All of us appreciate the coverage that you have given to the Bologna family tragedy and the insane policies that allowed it to happen. I am a Bay Area native, 20-year San Francisco resident, who is sickened to death by what the progressives have done to our town.

Respectfully,
David

Wish I were there. Praying for those involved! I’m sure there will be counter protest and may end in some violence. I hope and pray not, but with the open borders wackos, there is always a chance. Be careful out there!

Wonder if the Pinkos will be there to counter protest? Pelosi probably has them on speed dial and is calling them up to let them know.

Okay. This is a serious question:

Are there enough people in the Bay Area to make a real showing on the steps in protest for this?

Absolutely. San Francisco may lean heavily to the left, along with most of the bay area, but it’s not like it’s 85% liberal or anything. There are hundreds of thousands of moderates and conservatives in the area who might show up if they were aware of this.

Exactly. What are the libs up to? Gore promoted himself to the profit of GW and Obama should be running for president but instead running for savior of the world.

Always remember, a Congress Person or Senator may be elected by their constituents, but once in Washington WE ALL PAY THEIR EXORBITANT SALARY. Once they endanger our Republic the problem belongs to You, Me and ALL OF OUR REPRESENTATIVES.

One problem WE have, and I’ve been guilty of this in the past,is that we may vote for a Rep or Senator on their record of service to our State. This same person, while doing ‘good’ (bringing pork) to the home constituents may well be following policies and ideologies that are damaging to us as a whole, as in USA including us all.
The search needs to be more in depth. Candidates for all offices must be judged beyond local issues. We can find folks that believe in Our Country while still watching out for the abuses of a government too large.
We are Our Government. They are US.
    Let’s not go POGO.
(That’s a reference for us ‘Old Farts’. Pogo was a ‘Sunday Comic’ version of Will Rogers at times.)
And, No, You are going to have to look it up. Don’t expect others to do your research for you; that’s how we got in this mess.

Good luck to those that are able to make this important event. I also pray for their safety having seen the tolerance of those that violently support illegal invaders. I remember when stationed in the LA area in the late 80s. A group of counter protesters had the gall to stand up against them and in returned were assaulted by thrown full soda cans. Of course the LAPD just sat there and did absolutely nothing while the cameras rolled. I think that was the straw that broke the camels back when it came to my tolerance of illegal invaders and their liberal enablers.

Unlike the “progressive” protests I’m sure we will not be allowed to do much of anything and the protest will probably be shut down if enough people show up. In addition, there will be NO news coverage, unless they can show violence or cast us in a bad light. You know the same way they treat the psycho liberal protesters (NOT)!

This Newsom asshat is pretty smug:

“Minutemen are not the kind of people I look to for advice or counsel in terms of my performance.”

Mybe he should take the advice from the victims family of this human excrement:

One Salvadoran immigrant who benefited from that policy, Edwin Ramos, has been charged with three counts of murder for the June 22 shootings of 48-year-old Tony Bologna and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16. Ramos, now 21, was convicted for an assault and an attempted robbery when he was 17, but city officials did not turn him over to federal immigration authorities.

If those were my loved ones, Newsom would’nt get one second of sleep until he fled office.
