Animal-rights terrorists firebomb scientists’ car, home in Santa Cruz

By see-dubya  •  August 3, 2008 05:35 PM

Santa Cruz, CA is like a low-rent Berkeley, with bolder terrorists. Back in February they invaded a researcher’s home and terrorized his children. Before that there were church burnings and police-car flambees.

So it’s no surprise that the anonymous animal rights klansmen have graduated to firebombing university researchers’ homes and cars.

The family was home at the time of the firebombing and the victims, including two young children, escaped on a fire ladder from a second-story window, according to police. One family member suffered injuries during the escape and had to be hospitalized briefly, police said. That bombing is being considered an attempted homicide because the family was home, police said.

You developing cures for cancer? AIDS? Malaria? If you use laboratory mice, then guess what: you’re a a target. Better buy a gun now.

Our home prices have fallen, somewhat, but the renters are not enjoying any break from the exorbitant rents, trust me.

One of the main problems here is that the media has a warped kind of “Oh, but they’re overzealous but noble Robin Hoods who steal from the rich, give it to the poor” mindset regarding eco crusaders. They have a laid back “Oh they got a bit carried away but their intentions are good” view of this. You hear a lot of similar crap coming from kids from school. I mean look at all the attention the media gives a couple of dozen of stupid oily ducks from a tanker spill, as though their loss would cause a domino effect that’d ruin all life on earth yet hardly report that the worst spill has a fly’s turd effect impact on even life in the region. Another truly warped thing here is how they value a lab rat’s /cat’s/ chimp’s life with that of a human being — kind of like how they value keeping caribou all cuddly and humping up on some frozen desert atop a oil bounty over the lives of soldiers fighting and dying to keep a source open thousands of miles away. So no, I don’t expect the media to scream about crucifying these eco bastards anywhere near the disdain they have for abortion _protesters_ for example.

I do find the comparison between fire-bombing abortion clinics versus the homes of researchers who use animals rather interesting. It’s as if you’re claiming abortion clinic fire bombings, which I suppose is a ultra-right form of terrorism, and contrasting that with the ultra-left’s version of terrorism in this case. It’s as if you’re claiming abortion clinic bombers as our own, if that makes sense. While, yes, there is a definite bias against things on the right side of the political spectrum, I would not use this as an example in order to further the conservative cause. It’s like saying, “Geez, you guys keep focusing on our abortion clinic bombings and don’t even bother with the left’s fire bombing of animal-testing scientists.”
I’m sure you didn’t intend to sound this way, but one can definitely make this link from what you’ve said.
The political spectrum is a funny thing. It’s more like a circle rather than a spectrum in that the ultra-left (communism) and ultra-right (fascism) look almost identical in their words and deeds.

I find animals have more conscience & G-d given intelligence than most of the humans with whom I have contact.

It’s a shame that these terrorists are forcing society to think: if you care for animals you are an extremist.

Once I wore a beautiful fur coat to work and had a snotty upstart ask me ‘you’re wearing fur?! I can’t believe you’d wear fur.’ I then asked her ‘do you support abortion?’ She knew she’d have to explain herself, so she just said ‘yes’ and stomped off.

when this scum is caught, make sure they don’t try and resist or escape capture, they’d have to be shot then…YES!

In most instances, I would agree with you. In this instance though, I would much rather these Birkenstock clad, hemp wearing, tofu eating pieces of debris were caught, tried, and spent considerable time learning the finer points of being Bubba’s shower toy in some federal prison.
