Calculate Nancy Pelosi’s carbon footprint
I published Nancy Pelosi’s “Know Your Power” book tour schedule over the weekend (see here). Today, she’ll be in Boston MA. Tomorrow, she travels to Philadelphia. On Wednesday, she’ll be in Miami and the next day she’ll be in Michigan.
How will Madame Speaker be transported to these energy-expending events in which she’ll be preaching about saving the planet…through energy vote-avoidance?

Dear Michelle,
I would love to know what kind of aircraft and how much fuel Ms. Pelosi is going to use on her book tour. I guess the rest of us should “conserve” so she can uses as much as she wants.

Calculate Nancy’s carbon footprint!
I estimate she’s at 105 metric tons of CO2, with a likely 10 percent increase this month over the course of the book tour–25 percent if she hitches a ride on some Hollywood liberal’s Gulfstream.
Better stock up on those bogus carbon offsets, sweetie. America’s daughters are watching, you know.

All is forgiven because she’s trying to save the planet. How one saves the planet by writing a book – is not exactly clear… but who am I to question her motives? I’m just a MUM (Member of the Unwashed Masses).

Unfortunately, there is no accurate measure for her verbal carbon footprint. That kind of outgas has down way more harm.

The far left loons have stolen an old idea. Not believing in God, they want to tax you to death(unless you participate in the carbon credit scheme) for your daily use of carbon dioxide.

Does anyone do an audit on the mileage logged in (plane, auto, whatever) by these “public servants” on the vehicles provided them by taxpayers? Is there a distinction between public and private use? Do they even keep logs? Or did we, the taxpayers, by assigning them the vehicles as much as told them “Do as you please with these, they are as good as yours. Er, even better: we shoulder the cost, you get the use!”?
I envision that picture of her with a small target positioned on her head right about where one would find a lobotomy scar saying “drill here, drill now, lower gas prices”.
Of course, you would have to work around the exisiting multiple face lift scars already there.

Liberals don’t read books, it’s too much work.
I think to accurately calculate her footprint, one needs to add in the carbon of the 1) loggers personal footprints to get to the jobsite; 2) the logging companies footprint to harvest, trim, chip, and ship the trees used to make the paper for the books, plus the negative impact of removing a co2 scrubber (said trees); 3) the paper mills footprint; 4) the shipping company’s footprint for transporting the giant rolls of paper; 5) the printing company’s footprint for the manufacturing of the books, plus their shipping footprints; 6) the distributorships footprints; 7) those who go to Nancy’s bookshowings footprints,
and Nancy’s footprints to go to all these promotions.
Add those all up, and add 9) the footprints of all those involved on the promotional days at the bookstores, 10) all the truckers footprints in getting to work, then driving the various products around to produce the book, 11) the aircraft’s crews footprints to get to work on all the promotional days…who did I leave out?
If you’re going to be a green fanatic about carbon footprints, you have to include everyone effected or involved in this capitalistic venture. After considering all the above, it makes me wonder how anyone can be a true “greenie,” and yet not be a part of the mainstream economy.
Why don’t they give her a wind powered VW for her book tour. You know “look America, I practice what I preach”.

I’ve seen them and I am at a loss for words. These are the same people who tell you that it isn’t any of your business what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedrooms… however, that isn’t good enough – they had to take it to the streets. Boggles the mind.

I agree its none of my business what people do in the privacy of their own home as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. I believe in freedom and that includes the right to destroy yourself if that’s what you choose. However, they are trying to push this agenda on the rest of us and I will submit that it will make ordinary people screwed up, especially children. I used to think, aw who cares what they do, that was before I saw what was done to the Catholic church, I think it was malicious from the beginning designed to ruin the church.
I have watched as our beaches are having trouble with the same thing that you saw going on at zombietime. I’m watching as even guvners are willing to destroy their families for a quickie at a hi-way reststop. I see the police standing there and I say no wonder we have illegals trampling all over us. I ask, what does the future hold, will the authorities just stand against the wall looking the other way when jihadists start killing people here, have they already started doing this? In some cases I would have to say yes.
Its time we start saying no, we won’t allow this anymore, we demand that the job we pay the authorities to do gets done. Apparently, “cleaning house” leaves a lot of free time for the Speaker. Could it be because she neglected her duties and did almost nothing? Even today, Republicans who stayed behind have found unpassed legislation that Speaker Pelosi swept under the rug, which would allow us to drill for much needed oil.
How long would she have to hold her breath to offset the emissions created by the book no one’s reading?
