Terrorists kill 16 Chinese police

Friday, Gordon Chang wrote in the New York Sun that terrorist attacks on the Olympics were almost inevitable.

This morning, it looks like he has a point.

A few days later, a group calling itself the Turkestan Islamic Party took responsibility for the apparent bombings in a video titled “Our Blessed Jihad in Yunnan.”

    Muslim terrorists? That NEVER happens!

It would be nice to have China as an ally against Islamoterrorism.

The Dems will blame us for that also. These muslims are not going to stop until they are dead, so they need to be killed where ever they are. Brazen enough to attack the US, and now China…

Sure wish my President was not going over there. Nothing good can come from that.

China is not and never will be our friends.

I’m still not convinced that killing our pets was not a deliberate act on their part.

To both China and Russia, Muslim terrorists are the enemies of their enemies (i.e. America), and are thus cherished beyond measure. As long as terrorists are a bigger problem to us than to them (and they are), nothing will change. China and Russia think in terms of power politics and nothing else — unlike our government which thinks the whole world will love us as soon as we disarm.

When there are mushroom clouds over Beijing and Moscow they might ally themselves with us against global Jihad, but that is it. And it would be be back to business as usual as soon as the war was concluded, successfully one hopes.

I wonder what sort of interrogation techniques the Chinese police are allowed to use to question these two “suspects”? As Communists and members in good standing of the vast left wing conspiracy, I’m sure they’ll be more than careful not to violate any of their civil rights.

You reap what you sow. China has cracked down hard on its minority and ethnic groups for years. Now, these groups see an opportunity and are rising up.

I agree with swmbo. China will never be our friends. They’ve been completely useless (as has Russia) when it has come to dealing with North Korea and Iran. Whenever they make some geopolitical decision it is only to benefit themselves, not the world.

This is why I have problems with China hosting the Olympics and Americans sucking up the coverage. It’s a big PR stunt to convince the rest of the world that they’re our “friends” while they thoroughly dismantle our manufacturing base, steal our intellectual/military secrets, and build up their military.

Liberals complain about environmental policy in the US… they need to take a look at China and see how worse it is when a country has only contempt for both its environment and the people who have to live in its polluted confines.

I know which side I support. The side which eradicates terrorists who kill innocent people. That goes for animal rights activists as well.

chep, Oh I agree, its just I see the red chinesse as just as big of a threat. Perhaps my view could be better expressed by saying I hope they blow each other to hell. On the (sort of) plus side, thousands of black market organs are about to become avaliable from the chinesse prisons.

Sharon Stone would fit right in with some of the posters above. The fact of the matter is that China is no more deserving of despicable, cowardly terrorist attacks than any other nation.
