Who compared Obama to Paris Hilton first?

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 4, 2008 06:15 PM

Via a Newsbusters 2005 flashback, D’oh-bama strikes again:

“Andy Warhol said we all get our 15 minutes of fame,” says Barack Obama. “I’ve already had an hour and a half. I mean, I’m so overexposed, I’m making Paris Hilton look like a recluse.”

So, not only is he afraid of himself, he’s sick of himself, too!

Join the club, sweetie.

Oh, Oh, I think I figured out the difference. When Obama compares himself to an overexposed celebrity like Paris Hilton, he’s speaking as a Democrat. When McCain does it, he’s speaking as a Republican and the rules are different. For example, Obama can inject race into the campaign and remind people that he is black, and that’s OK. But if McCain does it, he is a racist, hatemongering Republican. See, now I get it!

This sounds like a normal thing for a person to say, if he thought he had a good speech. You have to have self confidence to be the leader of the free world. It takes confidence to make the big decisions.

I gave him that name a year and a half ago and I think it still fits quite well.

Anna Kournikova is a tennis player of some talent but without any real wins but she’s arguably the most popular tennis player in the world (at least among men :) ).

Obama is no different. He is a politician with some talent but without any real wins. He beat perennial loser Alan Keyes after Jack Ryan (thanks to a judge unsealing records that neither he nor his ex-wife Jeri “7 of 9″ Ryan wanted unsealed) dropped out.

Until recently, he would have been comparable to Danica Patrick, but at least she actually won.

Paris Hilton his a bad comparison because she’s only famous for being famous. Kournikova is a professional but isn’t famous for being a good one. She’s famous for being good looking.

Obama is famous for being “clean and articulate” as well as black.

Hence, why I favor Barack Obamakova. Well, that and the fact that I made it up. :)

I’m sure it’s already been said but Obama was the one making the big deal about his pen-pal relationship with Scarlett Johanson

And you wouldn’t? I mean come on. The guy may be an arugula eating effete prissy latte sipping communist loving dude. But he is a dude. And Scarlett is pretty much my vision of perfection. Or maybe second next to my grand notion of a Marxist utopia where all dissent is squashed and all wealth redistributed.

The professional [redacted] Michelle Malkin obviously does not understand the concept of self-deprecation. That’s what Obama was doing when he made those remarks. Which is, you know, the exact opposite of arrogance.

    Got it, sweetie?

False self-deprecation is a form of seduction used by politicians to try and make themselves appear to be more like the common man.

Either you’re okay with him having over-confidence and acting as though he’s already President, or you buy this false humility that he’s an ordinary American… Which is it?

I’m not too upset over Steve456’s name-calling, either. To start out with that only shows how weak even he believes his argument is. When challenged, he resorts to wishing Soap were dead. That’s about a 5th grade mentality and it’s more amusing than anything else. Leave a mark? Hardly.

I thought Scarlett was the one making a big deal of it and not Obama? I don’t like the guy, but in this, I thought it was more on her end.

Or maybe second next to my grand notion of a Marxist utopia where all dissent is squashed and all wealth redistributed.

At least you’re on record that Marxism is directly connected to squashing dissent and redistributing wealth. ;)

…although, now that Obama’s childhood mentor has been identified as Frank Marshall Davis there’s a bit of a sobering effect on your sarcasm here.

I’ve also heard that Paris’ sex tape was a lot more entertaining than one of Obummer’s endless Hope and Change through endless flipflopping speaches.

Let’s go easy on Paris, okay? She’s going to have to get by on less money if Obummer gets elected. ;-)

    Abstract:

Just the mere thought of her sex tapes is a big EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW for me. Rick Soloman has been through a lot of Hollywood’s bimbos which speaks volumes to what he values in a relationship.

I sorta think of Paris and Obummer in the following way:

    Paris is intellecually vacant…….

    and Obummer is politically vacant…..

They complete the perfect circle that is celebrity in America. ;-)

Hmmm….The One is looking for a VP who can compensate for his extreme lack of experience. I think she’d be up for it if he told her about his great connections for nose candy. But is there any way we could get Paris to the top of that ticket?

    LGM

If you can’t figure out the difference, you have no business blogging.

Whooooo! Is LGM playing his/her trump card?

Don’t you get it, Mrs. Malkin? Barack Obama gets a free pass because:

    1) He is propped up as 100% Black

    2) He is a liberal

    3) He is destined to win, and we cannot stand in his way!

Maybe we should just stop sticking to our guns and religion and get some perspective, liberate ourselves from that nasty concept of Christianity, and give in to our most primal desires while touting to be in the “modern” era?
    ————–

As you can see, LGM, Mrs. Malkin has every ounce of business to be blogging, especially since the MSM doesn’t report the entire story, and if you don’t like it, LEAVE.

I think you just want to silence conservatives.
