Mexican Army invades Arizona again

By see-dubya  •  August 6, 2008 09:31 PM

Paging General Pershing. General John “Black Jack” Pershing to the Arizona desk:

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.

I figured this news would send the blogosphere through the roof. On my usual prowlings I see one squawk from the Jawa Report.

Did we just give up on this whole “border” thing?

P.S. The State Department was, of course, ready with a clear and strongly worded statement:

State Department spokeswoman Nicole Thompson said Tuesday that the department had no information on the incident, and referred further questions to the Border Patrol. “It is not an incident that we are aware of,” she said.

As long as its allegations/reports/etc., there is a possibility to deny.

What every BP agent on the border should do is carry a cell phone with picture/video capability, get pictures or video, and post it on Youtube.

Pictures/video are worth a thousand words, just none of them helpful in denials.

The reason this is all very maddening isn’t because of our highly nationalistic prejudice against foreigners, hardly, Americans are the most welcoming people on the earth.

Americans are also caring and generous to a fault except when they’ve realized that our generosity has been taken advantage of.

We suffer from a PC double standard, we’ve been duped into tolerating the aggressions of an actual highly nationalistic society that has a very one sided view of their place in our part of the world and that our society has been turned into woosyfied shadow of its former self brought to us directly from damage caused by the suicide disease, liberalism.

    Paraphrased from:

I have a plan to destroy America
by Richard D. Lamm former governor of Colorado

    6. I would establish dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. I would “celebrate diversity.” “Diversity” is a wonderfully seductive word. It stresses differences rather than commonalities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other–that is, when they are not killing each other. A “diverse,” peaceful or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together, and we can take advantage of this myopia.

    For me.
Its the enforced double standard, the guilt of watching it happen and the seeming inability to change something so wrong that makes us so angry.

Of course we can change it, using the same methods that have given the opposition so much power, organization.
    Contributing really is great therapy.

Our Gov’t can find a cow with mad cow disease coming into the US , but is not aware of Mexican soldier coming across our border. This isn’t the first time this has happened. This really gives me a warm fuzzy about terrorists bring over a bio or nuke weapon. It’s astounding that we don’t have better communications on our borders and manned even better. Since there are alot of folks out of work, the gov’t could hire more agents to cover every square inch of the border. We just need to “shoot on sight”. I want to place a bet on which city become the first US city to be nuked or contaminated with biohazards. WTF is homeland security doing. Can’t get that thumb out of your ass?

Well apparently The State Department is now calling it an “accident” SEE HERE

Some how I just don’t find that excuse very plausible. Via the AZ Republic this morning…
The incident Sunday was the Mexican military’s 43rd incursion across the U.S. border since October, the agency said. The incident took place just north of the border in sight of the new border fence. The soldiers held their weapons on the agent for several minutes until he identified himself in Spanish, whereupon they lowered their guns and walked back across a gap in the fence, Scioli said.AZ Republic

Does anyone else believe they didn’t know that they were on American soil? They were keeping him occupied while someone else was conducting business down the road. DUH!!

Someone needs to make out a boilerplate press release starting:

“Bandits disguised as Mexican Military personnel …”

Put the Mexican government in the position of either claiming them (thus escalating the incident) or accepting the definition of the intruders as not being theirs.

Hmmmm….they came through a gap in the fence huh? So they must have known where they were right?

They should have been shot….or in the very least swarmed upon by our BP, arrested and interrogated.

Our own State Department is one of our biggest enemies. Behind the scenes, they continue to do more damage to this country than anyone realizes.

But just like another poster said above…“So You Think You Can Dance” is on the front burner of peoples minds and not the sovereignty of their nation.

Are you afraid they’re taking orders from Hugo Chavez to impose Shiria law on Arizona?

I think you mean SHARIA law.

No, this is about international agreements, LGM. Mexico gets aid to help stop illegal border crossings and they need to own up to their end of the deal.

They most certainly do with Guatemala, so what are people supposed to think?

    Reconquista, that’s what.

The State Department has just announced that they have accepted an apology from Mexico for the attack on the Alamo. “It was just an accident, a simple mistake in geography”, they explained.

State Department spokeswoman Nicole Thompson said she was not aware of any incident at the Alamo. But since no one at the Alamo had filed a complaint, they were accepting the explanation and returning Texas to Mexico as had been demanded in the letter of apology.

In a related story, Japan has issued a statement claiming the attack on Pearl Harbor was just an innocent mistake by pilots who were a little off course…
