While Madame Speaker advises America’s daughters “to defend your position with facts,” she has demonstrated blinking ignorance about the price of gas in her own district and the laws of supply and demand.

The shame of this is, the MSM is allowing Pelosi a free pass while brandishing McCain an economic dullard for not being able to deliver a thesis-level response to a single reporter’s impromptu question on the state of the U.S. economy.

Pelosi’s book is published by Doubleday, an imprint of Random House, which is the largest English language publisher on the planet.

Believe me, Pelosi’s first printing of this book numbered in the millions.

Nancy, if you’re truly working for women and the country, why haven’t you “sincerely” tackled the following issues:

1. Drilling that complements a balanced energy package

2. Education reform.

3. Health care reform.

4. Making sure military voter ballots count.

5. Immigration enforcement.

6. Pork barrel spending reform.

7. Ethics investigations into the likes of cronies such as Rep. Jefferson

I could go on with the empty plate of promises this woman has made and not delivered on. Most ethical congress ever? In your dreams, lady.

In the book “To Set the Record Straight” (Scott Swett and Tim Ziegler), the authors tell the story of the publication of the book “Unfit for Command” in 2004. The publisher at that time(don’t remember who it was, since I’m at work and can’t verify it) said that normally, the first printing is only 50k copies, particularly if (a)the author is unknown, or (b)if the subject matter is controversial. If the book sells, they can always reprint it.

How many bookstores exist in the United States? And how many copies of Pelousy’s books do you see in your local Barnes and Noble?

Methinks they probably published at least a million copies. You’ll see many of them on remainder tables by next year.

I guess that’s just one more thing Nan and Hairball don’t know about the oil bid’ness.
