Detroit’s Mayor Kilpatrick in the pokey

By see-dubya  •  August 7, 2008 11:29 AM

Cool: Mayor Kilpatrick is beginning to learn that he’s not actually above the law.

Judge Ronald Giles just sent Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to jail moments after the mayor pleaded for forgiveness and admitted he made an unauthorized trip to Windsor on city business.

He really should have seen this coming.

{Background on His Dishonor’s considerable legal troubles here.)

I can only laugh at these people. I heard that the democrats are planning to revitalize the Detroit auto industry by having them produce climate changing cars. Good gosh are these people complete morons? The jobs are gone, the people who used to do them moved away. No one in their right mind is going to open up shop in a city like that. The fools, err citizens there have elected a thug and he has installed a thugocracy. Get over it, the jobs have gone and they ain’t coming back. Besides, racists are notoriously unproductive and generally bad for the morale of a company it’s a lose lose situation. Id like to see a new feature, looks like a terrorist, done once in a while now that would be fun.

Oh boy. Threadjack Alert. Feel free to skip over.

    Abstact: How’s it going?
I listen to Schnitt out of Florida who is a conservative with little ego, and a decent amount of balance in his viewpoint. O’Reilly is an ego-maniac, but he’s still a conservative that tries to call it down the middle most of the time.
Mark Levin has a voice only a mother could love. His voice frankly gives me the creeps, and he has a nasty dispostion.

Rush is just a cartoon character to me. Sort of like Ann Coulter, he says things for shock value and ratings. I sometimes let them get under my skin, but I realize that they’ve carved out a niche for themselves and found a way to get rich with their personas. I don’t get caught up with rabid left/right ideologies. I agree with conservatives some to the time, but just not most of the time.
Hannity I hate. I will freely admit that it’s an unhinged kind of hate. I think that he’s the biggest phony on the airwaves. He repeats the same conservative cookie-cutter talking points over and over. He also has a rather sordid past. Look up his connections to Hal Turner sometime, whom he threw under the bus after his career got bigger. He realized Turner was a liability. Also, look up how he handled the whole Abner Luima tragedy from the 1990’s. Unlike Coulter, Beck, and Rush, Hannity tries to act like he has this “awe shucks” all American boy persona. He’s really a wicked hypocrite and phony, who simply regurgitates the same lines like a puppet. I despise the man, and I wish, somehow he depended on me to save him from some bit of extreme suffering.(I told you it’s unhinged).

Sorry about the rant. You’ve seen me around here Abstract. You know I’m capable of giving conservatives some credit. I often criticize democrats and liberals. Limiting my intake of conservative radio has been good for my soul. I don’t believe in the Fairness Doctrine at all. The free market should control. I due listen to Liberal talk radio on Sirius, and some of it’s good and some is bad.

All in all, I’m a little burnt out on the monotony, and I’m ready for the debates to start. Luckily football is back, and I can see my Raiders try not to shoot themselves in the foot again.
    Have a good day.

I don’t disagree with your assessment above. Again, its -how- you take the information and process it. If i just flew off the handle on everything coulter or rush said, i wouldnt be near as effective in discussing topics. Its by taking what you hear, reading the information at hand, and researching the topic, and using that to establish a point of view, that seperates us from the knee-jerk responding masses. :)

I too will reach across the lines to smack someone down when i think they’re doing wrong. As i’ve said many times, i dont care what party someone belongs to…wrong is wrong regardless of the letter in front of their name :)

    Good post though :)

In reading this, lgm…I would love to see you try the fairness approach with liberal blogs, who give no quarter or fairness to republicans, and especially conservatives.

    so, in effect:

If MM liberals were interested in wrongdoing by public officials, she they would give equal time to Republicans themselves and not just republicans with whom they disagree.

Your link is small potato(e)s compared to Kwame Kilpatrick’s interaction with a Detroit prostitute, named Tamara Greene, who was executed drive-by-style shortly after Kwame’s wife caught the two of them gettin’ busy at a Mayor’s Mansion party and went ape-poo-poo on her in 2002.
