Oh, my. The Obama groupies have come up with their own special sign language to signal their religion to each other. Here is the worshipful new gesture that its creators want to spread across the country (”We want to see it everywhere, but more importantly we want this sign to take the world by storm”) and at the Democrat convention with the goal of presenting a “crowd of 75,000 people at Obama’s nomination speech holding their hands above their heads, fingers laced together in support of a new direction for this country, a renewed hope, and acceptance of responsibility for our future” (via US News and HA Headlines):

Incorrect. It’d be the sign for “circle” or “round” or even “spinning.” The correct sign language in ASL for “asshole” would be to form an “O” with one hand with fingers all together forming the “O” and your other hand with the index finger inserting partially into the hand with the “O” and make little circular motions. Think “Roto Rooter.”
Barack obama’s new nickname must be “Bend Over”.
So we’ll just “Bend Over” for “BO”,

Be sure to swirl your finger inside the “O” part and not move it in and out of the “O”. That’s only appropriate when “O” becomes president would he be out to screw everybody.

So, what other symbolism from Triumph of the Will will we see at the convention? I’m not saying this as an ad hominem attack on Obama and his followers. Rather, if folks actually watch Triumph of the Will, they will see striking similarities in terms of communication themes, methods for capturing the imagination through romantic or pride-stirring images, focus on the youth, a lack of focus on systems, methods or policies, etc.
Here are a few lines. I’ll leave you to decide who said them.
1. “It is our total belief in ourselves, our hope for our youth, striding forward today, to be called on to finish the work which began…”
2. “We are who we have been waiting for…”
3. “The … people are happy in the knowledge that the divisions of the past have been replaced by a high standard leading the nation.”

Whether you appreciate the fact that there’s something deeper or not, one can infer a bit about a person’s character and moral system. I’m merely critiquing your perceived intentions here.

To try to get banned from a site because (a) it’s “fun”, (b) you “can”, and (c) for money, shows signs of hopelessness and, as you said, a shallowness that’s not very unique, but rather quite ordinary among most folks today. I’m merely trying to determine the source of such shallowness. I often wonder, considering I used to be agnostic, how do most folks answer questions dealing with origins, purpose, morality and destiny. Most shallow folks have delegated their ability to reason to other, hence have given up one of the key elements of being human.
2. “It’s nothing personal.” Not to get too technical, but your ad hominem (personal attacks) are by definition, personal. Does this spark a swelling hatred or anger within me towards you? No.
Isn’t this the same gesture Rosie O used to respond to certain issues about toilet paper?
You know, in a Freudian sort of way, the emblem may actually be very fitting if not very telling of what is to come.

Something I read on one of the other threads yesterday sent chills down my spine. It was when Newt referred to BHO as the “leader” of the Democrat party. As their presidential standard-bearer, and (God forbid) should he actually be elected President, he will lead and shape Democrat politics for the next couple of decades.
It took a few minutes for that to sink in. (Maybe I’m just a little bit thicker than most people). But imagine, a senator, with 143 days experience, vaulting over all of his much more seasoned party colleagues, to the leadership of the party.
The image of the Khmer Rouge consulting with Cambodian children for policy decisions came to mind.
I can’t imagine the long term damage this Marxist could do to my country if he actually becomes the “leader” of the Democrat party. I can only imagine that the Democrat leadership itself has been completely blinded by his rockstar status to consider that. (No offense to any rockstars out there). Somebody please tell me that I’m overreacting.
