LGM

.

1. McCain arranges for an extortion investigation against he guy who blew the whistle on his wife’s theft of medicine from the charity she ran.

2. McCain brings a reporter with him on a visit to the ailing Mo Udall.

3. McCain threatens the job of a federal scientist for sticking to his opinion about whether a University of Arizona project threatens an endangered squirrel species.

4. A Republican governor is driven from office and replaced by a Democrat, Rose Mofford, who previously served as Secretary of State and has little knowledge of the Central Arizona Project, a huge piece of Federal pork. McCain helps Republican efforts to get her recalled by setting her up to be blindsided at a Senate hearing just eight days after she is sworn in. He gleefully brags about his role at lunch with a newspaper publisher — “I’ll embarrass a Democrat any time I get the chance” — then proceeds directly to tell a bunch of reporters “I’d never do anything like that.” He later calls the Governor and tells her “I didn’t have anything to do with that.”

What a terrible resource, LGM. You complain about bias on here, and yet you yourself go to a site like that and post that left-wing spin on here.

Republican mistakes does not give democrats a permission slip to do the same.

Really, some liberals have backwards ideas about equality.

As Charlie Brown would say: "Good Grief!"

I can conlude there's only one reason why Silky "emphatically volunteered" to take a DNA paternity test:

Through his lawyer buddy Fred Baron, he had already acquired Hunter's complete assurance that she would "never permit one".

One has to be slick to be Silky, and heaven knows BJ Clinton served as a wonderful working template for Silky's performance.

So, someone dug up some dirt on McCain. Does that suddenly make what Edwards did OK?

I get it now, the devil didn't make him do it, the Republicans made him do it.

Bob Woodruff missed so much in his interview with John Edwards. Here is one occasion when a trial lawyer could have useful. Woodruff should have asked Edwards: "Your One America Foundation is tax exempt. Yet you took $114,000.00 from the chariable donations and gave it to Rielle Hunter. Was not that a)a fraud you were playing on the donors who thought they were supporting an antipoverty program? b) a fraud upon the Internal Revenue Service and c) How is that you chose Ms. Hunter to be your videographer when she had no experience in making videos? d) How did you choose to pay her $114,000.00 for making four videos that only went on your website briefly and then were removed clandestinely when word of the affair leaked out?

I can think of three letters x 3:

FBI
IRS
FEC

For once, these agencies need to track down and secure evidence of wrong-doing by these people. If (as usual), they pay lip service to this investigation, perhaps they should be disbanded. Of course, the current crop of elected officials (R and D) would not allow that to happen. They have these agencies right where they want them...under the thumb.

Well done, Bachbone.

Isn’t that the usual liberal faux pas? They think we’re all stoooopid and unable to think for ourselves.

Yes, it's ironic, since it's the libtard who fails to think for himself, i.e., our own village idiot, lgm.

Go to the original sources for lgm's(#11) cut & paste job and you'll find quite a few important details that shine entirely new lights on his insinuations.

1) After the former director, Mr. Gosinski, whom she had fired, of Mrs. McCain's non-profit medical charity (AVMT) went to the DEA and reported her for illegal use of drugs, then filed a wrongful-termination lawsuit against AVMT and offered to settle it for $250,000, the McCain's attorney (John Dowd)considered it to be a possible case of extortion and turned the matter over to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for investigation. During the subsequent trial, Mr. Gosinski alleged Mrs. McCain had asked him to lie to help her adopt a baby. That was proven to be a falsehood. Mr. Gosinski was also shown in court to have told other AVMT workers he would blackmail Mrs. McCain if she ever fired him. Gosinski eventually dropped his lawsuit, and the McCains did not prosecute him. Report HERE.

2)The person who complained about McCain bringing a reporter with him to see Mo Udall was Bob Neuman. He was an aide to Udall for many yars in the 70s and 80s. So -- what angered Neuman? The New York Times Magazine was doing a piece on McCain. Writer Michael Lewis was spending a lot of time with him to get the story. Udall was very ill in the D.C. veteran's hospital at that time, and in fact, died a year later. McCain took Lewis along with him on his regular visit to see Udall. That angered Neuman. He thought McCain should have cleared such a visit with Udall first. It's not so unusual that a long time Udall aide might be protective of his dying boss, is it?

But what else does Neuman have to say about McCain's Udall visits? "He does deserve credit for the time he spent with Udall during his final years. "There was no steadier visitor," Bob Neuman recalls of McCain's visits to his old boss' bedside during Udall's very long struggle with Parkinson's disease. And for that, Neuman says, McCain earned his "respect and admiration and affection."

3)Different studies in the 1980s yielded different opinions about whether building three telescopes in the Mount Graham International Observatory would harm the endangered Mount Graham red squirrel population. McCain differed vociferously with a forest service official. A 4/24/08 report shows the construction did not unduly harm the squirrels, so McCain was right.

4. First, politicians are politicians on both sides of the aisle. Democrats have been doing to Bush what McCain allegedly did to Mofford since he took ofice, too. Remember the trashed offices left behind by the Clintonistas? McCain is no saint, nor are any Democrats.

Nor for that matter is Amy Silverman, the author of the McCain diatribe. She glowingly reports of being contacted by various news organizations and reporters looking for dirt on McCain, but after they have spoken with her, none decide to use her muck. She attributes that to the fact that they have suddenly fallen in love with McCain, something which she tells us readers very quickly after starting: "...I never did fall for him in the way reporters fall for politicians..." No kidding, Ms. Silverman? You coulda knocked me over with a feather with that statement!

So, essentially, conservative hater lgm stumbled upon McCain hater Silverman's rant, failed to read beyond the bold type, because it fed his own biases, and thought the rest of us were equally as dense as himself.

Isn't that the usual liberal faux pas? They think we're all stoooopid and unable to think for ourselves.

So, essentially, conservative hater lgm stumbled upon McCain hater Silverman’s rant, failed to read beyond the bold type, because it fed his own biases, and thought the rest of us were equally as dense as himself.

Isn’t that the usual liberal faux pas? They think we’re all stoooopid and unable to think for ourselves.
