Oh, you mean like the leftwingnuts on the DailyKos and DU calling conservatives “neo-nazis” and other perjorative terms? “Accountable America” needs to be investigated for stalking, and violations of the RICO statute, and Tom Matzzie should be slapped upside his fat head for concocting such a laughable, ridiculous attempt at political blackmail.

Yeah, I also think people went too far in condemning the Nazis for making Jews wear Star-of-David patches on their arms. I mean, what’s the big deal with wearing a little patch?

Now what I’m pointing out here, using the admittedly sophomoric device of sarcasm, is that the Brownshirts didn’t start by killing opponents, and that wasn’t the only thing they did to try to silence opposition. Surely they sent letters admonishing people to follow the law, along with subtle threats about what would happen if they didn’t.

Given the nastiness of discourse found on many political sites, it can be reasonably concluded that there are people who are in favor of killing their political opponents, and who might just do so given the chance. Maybe warning those opponents to “follow the law”, which is really the job of law enforcement and not some “private, non-partisan organization”, is just the first step in a Brownshirtesque escalation of selective vigilantism. For example, how many Democrats received the same letter? My bet’s on a total of about 0, unless it was a mistake.

Not always or even usually. Mostly all it took was a show of force. If I were a Leftist, I wouldn’t want to play this game. The Right in this country may be slower to get off the couch and use these tactics, but once we do, most of us are armed, have military experience or law enforcement backgrounds, and we aren’t cowards who go squemish in the middle of the fight.

So, at your peril, hippies, stoners, people who cry about veal and have “meat is murder” T-shirts in the closet. Bring it on, naked cyclists, moronic college professors, burning man attendees, and other various tattoed freaks. We’ve been practice firing our Bushmasters, AR’s, and Mini’s for decades, and we aren’t scared of the loud noises they make. You people are.

Some people don’t like being messed with like that and some, like one’s I know, like the one’s in Southwest Detroit, Wouldn’t think twice about droppin’ a 9MM slug into someone, who they thought was messing with them. She should be a bit more mindful of that. I mean, I know that’s MD (read: Whitey Tighty City) up there and all, But that stuff is dangerous and could get you killed in the wrong part of town.”
[NOTE: Chuck Adkins has since pulled the post but part of it was captured. It included Malkins' phone number, home address and a picture of her house.]

    5. Senator Hillary Clinton’s complaint: “I don’t mind them picking on me; they’ve done it for years, but President Bush and the Republicans should lay off Graeme Frost and all the other children who are getting health care because we have decided to do the right thing in America.”

    6. And finally, lgm’s complaint:

I don’t think there’s much to the “they” part, susie. Even the domain name is just registered for only 1 year – the requried bare minimum before it will expire. That shows Mattzie intends it as nothing more than a quickie front operation.

This looks like a one-”man” scam designed soley to line Tom Matzzie’s pockets with $$$ from whoever could possibly be stupid enough to make a contribution to his laughable game.

Since it’s linked to the “Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee”, dlcc.org , he likely had some dipstick from it whip up his obviously hastily assembled, amateurish webpage.

On another topic. While sending nasty letters is newsworthy at MM, the war in Georgia is not. Russia has invaded an ally of the US. As usual, Bush is on the case.

What do you suggest, we launch all? I take it you will be at the recuiters office in the morning? Ever have a 7.62 Russian rip through your body and take out a hip? The VA will give you a nice walking cane.
Actually the war in Georgia has been mentioned and blogged here on MM. Look around, check the link.

Personally I have always thought the ‘quicker, faster, cheaper’ war in Iraq was a mistake. If you DO fight you go in big, fast and hard. Just how big a war do you think we would have with Russia? China would move with in days to expand her influence. Iran would move on the Gulf and Europe would mess in their pants.

Let us know how your pre induction physical goes. You going to volunteer for infanrty, armour or artillary?
Sing along lgm. Protect your hip. Worse comes to worse you get a steel casket and your family a flag; in your case I image it would be a white flag. As I said, Protect your hip.

    ARMY SONG
First to fight for the right, and to build the Nation’s might,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along
Proud of all we have done,
    Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along
Then it’s hi, hi, hey! The Army’s on its way
Count off the cadence loud and strong (two, three)
For wher-e’er we go, You will always know
that the Army Goes Rolling Along

    Other Verses:
    March along, sing our song
with the Army of the free
    Count the brave,
    count the true,
    who have fought to victory.
    We’re the Army and proud of our name;
We’re the Army and proudly proclaim:

    Chorus
Valley Forge, Custer’s ranks, San Juan hill and Patton’s tanks,
And the Army went rolling along.
    Minute men from the start,
    Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.

    Chorus
Men in rags, men who froze, still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we’re right,
And we’ll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.

I concede to you that Russia’s invasion of Georgia occurred while President Bush was attending the 2008 Summer Olympic and visiting with many of our fine athletes.

But hey, it’s not like he was conducting troop deployments to Bosnia, while using a 22 year old intern’s face as his personal penis playground under his desk (you know what I’m talking about.)

Yeah. Tell that to all your liberal friends.

Propaganda tactics were a big proponent of Nazi/Stalinist/totalitarian regimes. Still is – just look at the Olympic games and the hush-hush of China’s abysmal human rights records.

Brownshirts is exactly the correct term for lefties who employ the tactics of the regimes they love so much – namely any tactic that’s designed to shut down, shut up, or marginalize the opposition without engaging in honest, intellectual debate.

Actually I doubt it, he is the one defending the brownshirts. No amount of evidence or similarities or proven fascist points will ever convince him otherwise. Just mark his name down (if it already wasn’t there) as an enemy of the Constitution (cough, second amendment, cough) and general danger to a free Republic.

Secondly, it is utterly laughable that you can moan over the thread turning into something off topic when you somehow thought a thread about Iowahawk’s satire of the AA letters equalled a thread about Russia and Georgia. And I suppose you have no problem if I visit “day labor” locations so I can hand out flyers telling all those good citizens that they will face jail time if they try and vote and are not found to be qualified.

I mean, I am doing them a favor, after all, just keeping them from breaking the law.

And while I am at it, I suppose I could go to SE DC (with heavily armed police escort, of course), and warn all those good citizens that they would be breaking the law if they voted and were violent convicted felons.

No intimidation there, just trying to keep people honest.

Oh, heck, why don’t I just put flyers on all cars in a parking lot, school, day-care center, etc., and warn every one to make sure they are citizens and have a right to vote, otherwise they will face prosecution.
