Al Jazeera admits: okay, maybe we went a little overboard with the Hezbollah lovin’
Boy, is their face red:
Al-Jazeera television station has admitted to “unethical” behavior in its coverage of the release of convicted Hezbollah terrorist, Samir Kuntar, from an Israeli prison following a prisoner exchange deal with the Lebanese militant group.
The Arabic news channel’s public acknowledgement came as a response to an avalanche of Israeli criticism and a threat issued by the Government Press Office (GPO) to boycott Al-Jazeera news channel as a response to the program it aired last month. The controversial program broadcasted footage of the homecoming celebration and birthday party held for Kuntar upon his return in which he was hailed a “pan-Arab hero”.
Is that remorse or business sense? The article (in the Arabic paper Asharq al Awsat) points out that the Israeli GPO threatened to yank Al-Jazeera’s Jerusalem privileges over the incident. As it is, the GPO will “no longer go out of its way to extend courtesy services, including providing assistance in obtaining speedy visas for the Arabic news channel’s employees.”
Takin’ a hard line there. No more speedy visas for al-Jazeera!
That’ll teach ‘em.

Wow! Al-Jazeera admitted to bias in their coverage. Think MSNBC will admit to bias in their coverage when it comes to Obama? I’m not holding my breath on that one.
I’m sure they’re genuinely repentant. Or something.
I think the Israeli government just doesn’t want its cowardice broadcast to its own public. Israelis seeing pictures celebrating the release of a terrorist who bashed in the head of a little girl can’t be good politically.
I say let the Israelis see exactly what their government is up to and how willing it is to sell them out to defer to international public opinion–in which the Jews are always the villains.
Al Jazeera…Doing the job other terrorist news reporting agencies wont do.

Al-Jazerrah is little more than a mouthpiece for the worst kind of hatred – terrorism – catering its programing and reporting to propagate the messages of those who speak it (terrorism), for the greater accessible of those who seek it (terrorism).
The sooner that network is held accountable for spreading anti-Semitic and anti-American propaganda throughout the Mid. East, the better!
Wait a minute, you’re telling me that Al Jazeere is biased? Why, I’ve always considered them to be as fair and balanced as anyone, i.e. Dan Rather, Katie Couric, Brian Williams. Oh, never mind.
Did their CEO, Osama Bin Laden, approve this? If they cave in to Israelie pressure, he won’t issue any more of his press releases to them.
Now, when will we do the same to the New York Slimes, ABC, NBC, See B.S., MessNBC, et. al. who are broadcasting terrorist views here?
I’d love to see some august journalistic body weigh in on this … or in future Al Jazeera stories this become part of the narrative. Will either happen? Nah.
WOW, Al Jazera admitting bias!!! what is next, MSNBC admitting they are in the tank for B. HUSSEIN, NYT admitting to a hit piece on MC CAIN??? How about MSM, as a hole, admitting a LIBERAL bias in all their reporting from politics, to global warming, to the economy… BE STILL MY QUAKING HEART!!!

I’m sure Al-Jazeera knows where some of the bodies are buried. All they have to do is dig one up and offer to trade it to Israel. They’ll get all their privileges back and then some…
Maybe the U.S. Left Wing Media (not MSM) could get the same treatment here. Make them all get passports from some hostile foreign government (Cuba? Venezuela? Russia? France? Iran?) and deport them all.
