I’d love to see someone challenge this kind of nonsense with the words “You are either ignorant, misinformed or a LIAR!!”

There are those who are invested in the idea of a black democrat communtariat that wishes to deprive all life on earth of its well being.

It doesn’t occur to these people that these people who happen to be black are simply offering an opinion that defitnetly can be disputed. What we see is blacks opining on policies that may be disagreeable in conservative circles and these opinions get automatically dovetailed with hot button issues like reparations. You see it played out on this board in fact. Merely look at what MissCheryl has dug up for us. Blacks have an opinion about global warming and thus that means they want reparations.

Oh and its clear that this minister is against all the GW lunacy.

Oh and before anyone says they are being called racist, NO YOUR NOT BEING CALLED A RACIST!

I’m merely asking everyone to take a step or two back and examine all the facts before slapping him with any labels.

From what little I’ve gathered about Rev. Jones, he appears to be a decent leader of his community church.

To clarify…

Jones was testifying last Wednesday at an informal hearing on California’s efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions, noting that some steps — such as “fees or higher utilities” — have an impact on minorities.

In other words, he’s concerned about California’s go-green lunacy and if effects on those who can least afford it. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

Sen. Wiggins didn’t like his comments because they challenge the teachings of The Goreacle.

Actually, I think Rev Jones was bringing up a valid point, albeit in a roundabout way, and I think Sen Wiggins reacted the way she did b/c it’s a point that global warming liberals don’t want to hear. I think he was trying to point out that policies to combat global warming invariably have an impact on low-income communities. It’s all well and good for entitled lefties to feel good about themselves by buying local, but if its more expensive to buy local, its not easy for those in low-income communities to do it. Bingo. I haven’t seen a transcript, but I would guess that this is the argument that made Wiggins so upset.
