I think it is interesting that all you clowns from the rest of the country are throwing CA under the bus collectively. It took massive demonstrations in CA for the rest of you dopes to wake-up and smell the coffee. Where were you then? Thought you were safe in your little hovels did ya? People congregate at the bus stop. That doesn’t mean we hand out lunch , create a housing area for them and then give them free bus passes.

This is an example for the nation if they want to understand what communism is. Most people don’t seem to have any idea what communism is. Just in case ya didn’t know… This is a good one.

All that the companies would do is pass on this “fee” to the end user (customer).

Ok and the city’s had nothing to do with this I guess.
To be fair maybe the stores could provide the land and the city can provide the construction cost and keep a police officer there for “Public Safety”

My son is now 19. All his life I’ve tried to show him the stupidity of the left. However, since I’m pretty passionate about politics and a little over the top sometimes(my bad), he has gotten tired of it and I was concerned that I pushed him the wrong way. No fear though…I finally got it and just left him to find out for himself. These type of incredibly stupid political decisions come out daily it seems and I need not worry any more about. If you have a brain it becomes apparent quickly that the left is missing theirs. Unfortunately that is half the people in this country.

Why do they not have to provide the same services for legal Americans? So the law states toilets, waters, shelter etc are to be provided only for one specific group of people – namely ILLEGAL ALIEN day workers? This is outright RACISM!!!!

What the hell are these morons trying to do – ‘out-liberal’ each other? That’s sure as hell what it looks like.

Has the water in LA been tested recently? It has to be something in the water that is unique to California. This is way beyond stupid, perhaps there has been a mass movement from San Fran to LA.

Has it occured to anybody that the only winners here wilb be the lawyers:
Scenario: I go to the Loews/HomeDepot/whatever and buy some materials and I need some labor to get it put together. I go out to the Store-provided pavilion and hire a couple of “workers”.

I get them to my house where they beat me up, trash my house and steal everything not nailed down.

What happens??? I SUE THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF THE STORE.

Somebody tell me this won’t happen.

The only problem I see building these facilities is that several illegal alien families will move in and call it home.got to be alot better than what they already live in.. What will happen next? LA City Council will say it is perfectly legal and will want these home improvement stores to accomodate all of them. If I was Home Depot, I would take my business elsewhere and tell City council to stick it.

I wrote via email to Home Depot corporate headquarters urging them to fight this. Here are the relevant paragraphs from the response that I received:

The Home Depot supports legal immigration to the United States and does not support illegal immigration. The existence of day laborers is a complex social issue beyond The Home Depot?s control. To provide our customers with a safe and convenient shopping experience, we prohibit solicitation on our store property by any group or individual.

To address these and other concerns related to day laborers on our
property, Home Depot diligently works with civic groups, local governments, government agencies, law enforcement and other businesses to determine tangible solutions to this social issue. Home Depot’s principal concern on this issue is safety for all persons.

Some local governments believe that The Home Depot can address this issue alone and are mandating various ccommodations for day laborers. This approach is not sustainable. Only when local governments, community groups, non-profits, law enforcement and businesses work together in partnership can solutions be found.
