    Guess Judge Townsend figured his decision made sense considering the Democratic Party’s obsession with the rights of felons, murderers, abortionists, Gitmo detainees and other purveyors of radical Islamic terrorism, totalitarian regimes, etc, etc. He just wants to make sure their various constituences are well-represented.     Maybe we aren’t looking at the judge’s true intent. Perhaps, when he intimated that it was “important to Detroit that the mayor attend the convention“, he was meaning there would be less crime in Detroit, if this known criminal were out of town for at least the short duration of the Dem’s convention? Maybe his intentions were noble and taking into consideration the best interests of Detroit?
