This ticket fiasco is a perfect analogy to what will happen to these sheep when they show up for their “free” health care or government provided job or free college education. They will quickly learn that the elite will still get the best seats in the house. Except under the democrats, it will be a closed society. Hard work and desire will mean nothing, only your views and beliefs will count, your allegiance to the party. People will no longer be able to work their way to a better life. The social classes will be defined by the party, the same way the tickets were distributed. Why is this so hard for Obamaniacs to comprehend?

More like laying down sod. Even the German Wermacht knew that the US would need to go after the Soviets. One thing that was hoped for when they surrendered was that the US would immediately use the remaining German Army, once Hitler and his cronies were done and dead, and go straight into fighting with the Soviets. The last thing that anyone wanted was for the Soviet Union to keep what they had taken, let alone stay in power. But hey, Hitler didn’t listen to his generals, why would Roosevelt? Lord knows Patton wasn’t wanting to keep going all the way to Moscow.

I’m sure it never crossed what passses for your “mind”, but if Lincoln had more experience in government, it certainly is possible that the secession crisis could have passed without the cost of 500,000 lives. If Obama makes a similar series of beginner mistakes, it could cost lives running into the millions upon millions. One of those lives might be yours, or someone you care about.

Lincoln gave great speeches, but his actions filled the graveyards, grieved nearly every family in the Nation, and ended slavery on such horrid terms that they gave rise to abuses that were far worse than slavery ever was. Some cures are worse than the disease, some solutions make the problem look good. Lincoln managed to do precisely this with his Presidency. But by all means, continue to compare Barack Obama to Lincoln as a justification for electing him President. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? Right?

I’m fine. I’m a Reagan conservative, that means I’m right, especially when dealing with a lib.

1) Obama’s medical plan sucks. Socialized medicine does not work. PERIOD. Canada and England’s plans are crap. Everyone has coverage but not everyone gets care. Do you want to wait months for an MRI or a Catscan? Then months for a specialist? Or do want to be told that the treatment you need is too expensive and the govt is going to let you die instead. Happens in Oregon right now. A lady needs a special chemo treatment to extend her life. It was denied, but the State will pay for her assisted suicide. If the drug company didn’t decide to donate the care, she’d be dead. Welcome to socialized medicine. You really want a govt the backrupted Social security and medicare, to run our healthcare system?

2) The millionaire already paid taxes on that money. He/She should be able to pass on that money tax free. And be careful what constitutes millionaire, the bar keeps getting lower. Between house, retirement accounts etc., more “regular” American could be hit with that tax. Smacks of redistribution of wealth. Take money from the earners and give to the slackers.

3) I’m for cutting waste in the military, but we need more money invested in the military. Instead of 4%, it should be at least 6% of the budget. I’d work it up to 7 or 8% over the next decade. We have China, Middle East and others to worry about. And hey it will even protect liberals. Clinton’s military cuts in the 90’s, caused the problems we have to fix now.

That, or they have never heard the basic economic principle that, “Nothing is free”.

They have to pay ringers to fill a school auditorium for McCain.

Once again, provide the evidence to back up your claim. Everyone who reads lgm’s comments are just that much stupider for their efforts. It is the equivalent of huffing paint.
