Obama VP choice: Will the pick be as whiny as The One?

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 18, 2008 05:26 PM

Beltway buzz has the Obama VP announcement coming down tomorrow morning, just in time to distract from the campaign’s whininess about The One’s sad-sack performance at the Saddleback forum this weekend.

Who will it be? I hashed out the veepstakes game back in February. Nothing’s changed. CNN is speculating that it’s Joe Biden, who once endorsed Obama’s “cleanliness.”

Place your bets.

One ticket we now know is not gonna happen:

And back to the original question,

Obama VP choice: Will the pick be as whiny as The One?

After months of watching the runup to the primaries and then watching the primaries and now the runup to the general election, I have concluded that the only person whinier than Barry Obama is my former co-worker, Brenda. As she is unlikely to be under consideration, the correct answer is NO.

As long as there’s abortion, I can’t argue you: as we are, as a society placed under that moral blight, eating our own.

I still think Bill Richardson would be a wise choice, even if it is the anti-pc.

It would lock in the latino vote for decades.

    He is a governor.

    Okay, okay.

    It’ll be a white guy.

    It will never be Hillary.

Didn’t obama just say one of the 3 wisest people he knows includes his wife? That shrewd woman would never ever let ob have hillary on his back. Never.

Good luck winning with that ticket.

If Governor Richardson were not an incompetent boob I would agree. Alas, we will be stuck with him here in NM for a few more years. I suppose he does less harm as governor of one small state.

One of my best friends was for Hillary and she says
that under no circumstances (even if he named HRC
as his VP) will she vote for Obama. She has always been a dem when it comes to the primaries but she
says not unless Hillary runs again. Otherwise she will
    either vote Republican or Independent.

TXRose- Hillary’s policies are pretty in line or to the left of our party platform. Perhaps she’s a little hawkish, but she’s otherwise a “typical” democrat.

Why does your friend have this viewpoint? I get it, if you can’t explain it. I have some friends that I wouldn’t want to explain or interpret. If you know, I am curious about the mindset.

    thanks

mj..I don’t know why she thinks this way. She’s very
intelligent and level headed otherwise, but on the
subject of Hillary…well, I try not to bring that subject
up any more often than is necessary. She does vote
GOP quite often as do a lot of Dems in this area. They
vote in the Dem primary to be registered as Dems but
come Nov they vote GOP as shown in election results.
In fact, when I used to work the primaries, they would
walk past us and say, “I’m going to vote against so and
so now, but I’ll see you in Nov.” This is what you want me to explain. I still don’t get it.

And they would have something else in common; they both like to plagarize other people’s speeches. That’s cost Biden a spot on the Dem ticket before.

But seriously, Biden always made me crack up during the Democrat primary debates, and would definitely be a drag on the ticket. My first choice would be Pelosi, but since that ain’t gonna happen, go Biden!

Whoever he picks, you can be assured that his running mate will be a “whiner”. First thing said will be about how terrible America is, how Big Oil is killing us, the “gangsters” in Iraq need to come home, and how we need to “help” (enslave) the poor even more. Add to the mix, how TS Fay is Bush’s fault, we need to have a “new” (open borders) immigration policy, and we need to “talk” (hug and understand) to our enemies.

Google some of the Denver news sites and read some of the comments from the locals and that should give you an idea of just how pathetic it will be…not as much love as you might think. They’re going to have to bus in a whole lot of out-of-towners to make this one look good on tv.

I’m betting it will be, Kinky Friedman.

That will balance the ticket with an old, white Jew, who is just as much a crazy liberal as Obabma, but can also complete a sentence. Kinky, can counter the Big O’s affinity for Farakhan, and Wright, as well.

Friedman, enjoys his smokes as much as St. Barry, and as a big plus, has his own band that can play at the inauguration.

If he wants to win it will be The Hildabeast. His marriage would be over by doing this as Michelle “My Belle” would cut him off with her anger. Their marriage is probably similar to the Clintons marriage if you know what I mean. Me thinks Odrama has feminine characteristics anyway… wink wink.

Joe Biden would be my next guess. Biden is truly a MORON…dumb, I mean really, really dumb! Respected worldwide HAHAHAHAHAHA! They would make a great pair..DUMBO AND DUMBER!!

I used to think there was NO WAY a Republican could win in 08. If he takes The Beast he wins, if not he is rolling the dice.

Joe Biden??? He’s a Dope… Having him on the ticket would be too easy. Though I could see him being picked. He’s as liberal as BHO and a weasel like Chuckie Schumer. Plus “O” needs someone with experience (as he has none himself). Then again… saying Joe Biden has leadership experience is sorta like saying Bugs Bunny has acting experience.

Wesley Clark??? A military disaster. Ask anyone who was under his command in NATO. He pales in comparison to a man like Gen. Petraeus or Lt. Gen Odierno. I don’t think the Big Zero… I mean Obama.. could relate to a military officer as his Veep anyway.

So I really don’t know who he’ll pick. And in reality, it doesn’t really matter. But the Republican choice for Dem Dream Ticket might include Pelosi or Harry Reid. With one of those two, the hits just wouldn’t stop coming…

Get real – only those without a soul to understand the ideas of grace, beauty and companionship would eat a horse, let alone a cat or dog!

I ate dog once, in Korea. I guess that means I’m soulless; but then, I don’t disagree with that idea, at least not in the literal sense.

My mother-in-law heard that I was curious about it from my wife and made me some dog-soup. It wasn’t bad, kind of tasted like beef, just a bit tougher. Of course, the soup itself was awfully spicy so probably masked whatever the actual “dog” taste is.

I grabbed a piece and held it out for our dog (I wasn’t going to actually feed it to him, just teasing my wife) he seemed excited about it. My wife didn’t find it as funny as I did though.

As far as the VP’s, bated breath over here, honestly… *smirk*

After the Obamessiah’s pitiful response(s?) regarding Putin’s Russia’s blatant actions against Georgia, The One needs foreign policy cred. That pretty much limits his choices to Biden and Richardson, does it not?

However, are we seeing the next “inevitable one’s” collapse since, well, Hillary’s? The more he says or does, the more he shows that he is not qualified to be POTUS.
