Sore loser: Obama and Obamedia accuse McCain of “cheating”
No, really. The Obama camp and its media water-carriers are seriously accusing John McCain of “cheating” in his appearance over the weekend at Rick Warren’s Saddleback church forum because he was in his motorcade when the program started– and then escorted to an empty room without media hook-ups. NBC’s Andrea Mitchell spread the unsubstantiated rumor that somehow McCain heard Obama’s questions while on his drive. The nutroots went, well, nuts. The NYTimes piled on (“Despite Assurances, McCain Wasn’t In a ‘Cone of Silence’“). The McCain camp has protested.
And now we have the spectacle of the Democrat presidential nominee and his press entourage bleating about the “cone of silence” because he didn’t fare as well as his opponent.
Yes, the Obama has just confirmed that it is operating in a cone of abject stupidity. Maybe a little less fun in the sun next time, eh, Barry O?
The event wasn’t even head-to-head. How is the Obama team going to behave should The One wipe out in an official debate this fall? The wah-mbulance will be working overtime.
Oh, and I think we know where the Left is headed again. Remember “Is Bush Wired?”
Predicting a massive run on tin foil from now until November…

More:
Warren told CNN Sunday evening, “we flat out asked him” if he heard any of the questions. The McCain campaign “confirmed that McCain did not hear or see any of the broadcast” in the motorcade or after he arrived, Ross said.
When asked if McCain overheard anything, Charlie Black, a McCain adviser who was with him at the time, told CNN: “We were in motorcade until 5:30 p.m. ET; then a holding room in another building with no TV.”
Warren said, “I trust the integrity of both” candidates, and said he “knew they would abide by the rules.” He joked McCain may not have been in the cone of silence, but “he was in the cone of a Secret Service motorcade”.

Yet another thing you have in common with Obummer – lies.
Show us all where Warren said McCain cheated or shut up.
**crickets**
But the answer remains the same: Obama LOST! Obama’s responses were not dependent upon whether or not McCain was listening, but upon his own inability to put forth a straight-forward answer.
On August 18th, 2008 at 2:25 pm, On-my-soap-box said:
Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that myself. From everything I’ve read this afternoon, Warren denied the possibility of McCain’s having overheard any of the Obama interview.
This is irony.
ROFL at Salt
Listening to people try and defend Odumbo on his preformance at the Forum is killing me…… if laughter is the best medicine for it I’ll live to be 100.
Rush just mentioned Hot air and ed on his show.
This it what Rush was talking about.
McCain should run with this, openly challenge him to more of these town hall debates. The sore losers are willing to go so far as to call McCain a cheater, but are too craven to ask for a rematch. So let McCain call for it, say that he wants to put to rest any doubt about this “cone of silence”. Obama will be trounced, again.
Of the people on stage, the individual with the least integrity was Obama. To accuse McCain of cheating is silly and shows just how poorly Obama did. In addition, the cheating claim also damages Pastor Warren as it is aimed at him as incompetent to hold such a forum. Actually, the news media is embarrassed by the fact that this Saddleback forum asked really tough questions and was a far better mechanism than they could have put together to expose the pros and cons of each candidate.
Obama went first. His answers came from his Private School, Harvard educated, Law Review Editor’s mind. Nothing McCain did or didn’t do had anything to do with what Obama said or didn’t say.
5th from the Bottom, U.S. Naval Academy: 1
Harvard Law: 0
I am going to have to call Bull**** on that.
This is how McCain cheated:
McCain: Oh no, Obama just answered the abortion question with “that is above my pay grade”! He took the greatest answer ever! I am powerless to come up with a better answer than that. Oh well, guess I will just have to say what is really in my mind when they ask me that question.

Salt said (#205):
Nice comeback, but I don’t agree. This entire flap was caused by McCain people going ballistic over one sentence spoken by a news person on TV.
Obama did not offer it as an excuse. Obama supporters agree that his answers were not influenced by McCain listening in (if he was).
If the McCain people had said: “Yes, he was supposed to be in isolation, though he was not in the beginning. We apologize for our failure to comply with this aspect of the agreement. We state for the record that John McCain did not listen in nor was he given any information about the questions.” That would (might) have been true.
Instead they made themselves look foolish by blaming Obama for their violation of the agreement.
It’s “might” instead of “would” because McCain’s people have not actually denied that they listened and provided their candidate with information.
CCS (#107): You’re welcome. I saw that episode when I was a kid, and that scene always stuck with me. I found the clip but decided not to link to it because I figured someone could find it if they wanted. I…uh…assumed correctly.
lgm, I find it remarkable that DemocRATs and leftists/liberals/socialists in general can hold (at least) two contradictory propositions in their minds at once, and be utterly convinced of them both!
For instance, that McCain is not smart, that he has to be coached and fed information by his staff who told him Obama’s answers so that he would have a good showing. But somehow he’s smart enough to remember all the answers fed to him and deliver them in such a flawless and direct manner that he made Obama look dumb!
Not that Obama needed any help with that…he was managing that all by himself.
So, lgm, can you answer the question Obama couldn’t? When does life begin? And if, like Obama, you don’t know, isn’t it wise to err on the side of caution and not kill something if you think it might be a person?
My office buddies came up with a great SNL skit about Obama.
Obama could say the words to “We are the World” making sure to pause for effect on every forth word.
(Obama speaking)
We….Are the world……….
We….Are the Children…….
We….Are the ONES to make a BRIGHTER day…….
The camera pans out to the audience in loving adoration of the messiah with people clapping and wiping away tears of joy before panning to the news reporter…
Moreover, Andrea Mitchell comments to the viewing audience that we are “seeing history in the making”
Next, a very serious looking John McCain is asked what he thought about the great speech from Obama and a visibly alarmed McCain replies the speech appears to be a rip-off from an 80′s song.
The camera pans back to Andrea Mitchell as she is caught praying to Obama before she realizes she is on camera. After quickly reattaching her lapel mic, she proclaims McCain has somehow cheated by reading the lyrics of the song and comparing them to Obama’s speech.
On planet lgm, the sun revolves around it, because lgm declares it so.
Must be fun being able to override celestial mechanics at whim.
Psst!!! Want a sure-fire market tip! Guaranteed to make you Big Bucks in early November???
Find out who makes Kool-Aid and sodium cyanide, and buy their “put” options to expire November 5.
Those products are going to fly off the shelves in the aftermath of Obama Hosanna’s landslide, no, make that avalanche, loss in the fall.
Big profits to be made!!!
I’m thinking of opening a sidewalk stand just down the street from my voting precinct, offering razor blades, vials of Clorox and thick (hemp).
lgm: come on by! I’ll give you a deep discount!!!
Jesus spoke in parables.
Obama speech is nuanced.
I get it.
McCain beat his bottom good.
The ever-accumulating cascade of Obamian quackery is bound to puncture even the MSM’s Bubble of Denial sometime soon.
But I wonder, when McCain makes his first major gaffe (something equivalent to The Messiah’s “By keeping our tires inflated we can save as much oil as they want to drill”), will the MSM remain as equally nonchanlant about that as they do about OBummer’s moronic blather?
Sorry, I was in a daze for a moment there…please forgive me.
So you assumed that McCain “cheated” (the whole topic is childish but anyway..) Do you hav any proof of that? Can you prove what you are saying? So he wasn’t in the “cone of silence” (ooooooo the cone of silence) can you prove that he was listening in? Even the preacher says he was in the “cone of silence” (cue the mystery music) for about half the obama interview.
Grow up LGM, Obama got his ass handed to him. That Obamas fault not the high speed, low drag wonderfull “cone of silence”

We know you are a math teacher of sorts but can’t you read?
Gawd you are such an IDIOT.
Andrea Mitchell is quickly becoming a cross between Maureen Dowd and Dan rather…yeeeech!!!!
Ballistic… Interesting and emotionally charged description. The fact that you have you returned to comment more than once could be interpreted by some here as ‘ballistic’, but I digress.
Andrea Mitchell said, “‘Obama people’ [were suggesting] ‘that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama. He seemed so well prepared.’”
Apparently writing a letter to the network as Rick Davis did showing his displeasure is ‘ballistic’ in your view.
When Mitchell was challenged, she stuck to the notion that this was coming from the Obama camp. She must be lying, right? However, since you seem so quick to automatically believe Sen. McCain was cheating, we’ll put some credence in the idea that Mitchell may have actually heard this from the Obama campaign.
This does not make sense. Who suggested that Sen. Obama’s answers would be any different even if he suspected that McCain was listening?
Besides which, Sen. Obama himself mentioned that there were topics that were given to the candidates by Rev. Warren.
Out of curiosity, which question asked was so special it could not have been anticipated by either campaign?
Brooke Buchanan has denied it. Rick Davis has denied it.
Heck, even Rev. Warren is now on record with “They’re dead wrong. That’s just sour grapes…”
On-my-soap-box (#226)
quotes:
(ad hominem insult omitted)
Carefully worded not to deny that McCain got information. There surely was a TV in the car McCain was riding in. Even if he wasn’t watching, others might have been and passed him information.
Here you go… It’s even cited from the NYTimes:
Waiting for the proof….
not holding my breath
Obama started to criticize Justice Clarence Thomas for being to “inexp—” and then had to stop himself because all of a sudden he remembered that experience was Obama’s own glaring weakness.
We know that obama did not cheat cause you can’t cheat on stupid
Hilarious that the Left couldn’t recognize that on these questions, you don’t HAVE to prepare. They were not questions needing preparation. Either you know what you believe or you don’t. Mostly, they were as easy to answer as “what’s your favorite color?” C’mon, you know or you don’t know. These lefty excuses are funny.
You are seeing a team of psychiatrists aren’t you?
You have made some “interesting” comments and accusations. Tell us oh all knowing one, when will YOU offer evidence. Keep in mind, you saying something is NOT evidence.
Is there just a chance McCain was speaking from his own mind and thoughts? Is there just a chance he was prepared by having the ability to answer questions without having to ask granny? Just a small chance?
…or was McCain cheating because he couldn’t come up with a rebuttal for:
UMM, ERRRR, IIIIIII, UMMMMMMM, IIIIIIIIIIIIII, ERRRRRRRRR
Obama’s people have not actually denied that he was the ringleader of the 9/11 attacks. Nor has Obama denied being involved in the Gandhi assassination. I think you’re unto something there!
On the other hand – and ironically enough, lol – Obama did openly confess to having cheated at this forum.
But even with Obama’s confession and what with both campaigns having gone over the areas to be discussed along with being given specific questions beforehand, Obama sill failed massively at this “open book pop quiz”. How embarassed and devasted he and his campaign must feel!
Laddie, the simple lesson for ObieWankaDummy to learn is to – as someone put it, “Hey, Obama: Take Your Ass-Kicking Like a Man!”
“Surely,” “might,” etc., are all weasel words demonstrating that you don’t have a single fact in your arsenal. With a carload of people, including Secret Service, that leaves a lot of loose ends for leaks if it happened.
You just can’t get over the fact that your candidate just had to cover up the fact that his performance, as described by even Obamamaniacs, was weak at best, and pathetic at worst. The talk shows are having a field day with his “nuanced” answers. And by “nuanced,” I mean weasely.
Um, ahh, um, well you know, um ah; well, thank you!
Yeah, that’s right, Foo! Because it’s the SERIOUSNESS of the allegation vs the ACCURACY of the allegation, that truly counts.
As I said: Foo.
Warren: Iraq just launched a nuke at Israel. Who would you ask for advice?
Obummer: My mommy and Michelle.
McCain: Gen. Petras
Lgm,
I see your point. McCain would need a whole staff to beat Obummer on a question like this.
Okay, that was not the real question but I am dealing with someone who does not have real intelegence.
Right, because everyone knows cheaters are so concerned about lying, so he had to come up with a carefully worded response, lol.
It’s not the McCain camp’s fault that you can only speak and comprehend moonbat.
LGM: Still waiting for that proof that McCain “cheated”
crickets…
Memo to:
The Liberal/Progressive/Democrats,
Your candidate, Barack Hussein Obama had his collective butt handed to him in this past weekend’s forum. If you do not wish to see a repeat performance in the upcoming Presidential Debates, do the following:
1. Wean him off the teleprompter, ASAP!
2. Tell him to come up with an original thought or idea, and to stop relying on his “handlers” for his talking points.
3. Make a visit to at least one military base in CONUS, and see our wounded heroes – maybe that will teach him something about humility.
4. Stop spinning your political history – you have nothing to spin!
Failure to do any or all of the above will result in McCain mopping the floor with Barry O, and further the demise of the Democratic Party as we know it…
A man who was tortured and underwent interviews by an enemy that promised and did torture at the end of them doesn’t sweat an interview in a church setting with the pastor who is an admitted friend. McCain’s background of executive decision, depth of experience and beliefs was very evident. McCain is a mile deep. BO has no depth, no experience, has never made executive decisions and he dances around every question until you are not sure what the hell he believes. He wants to be everyone’s friend. McCain wins HANDS DOWN!
That’s Bush for sure. The worst President this country ever had.
If some of you (yeah you, soap) didn’t have lgm, I really think you’d have to make him up. Guy gets more play around here than the owner of the blog.
whos lgm?
The only good thing about McCain is that he isn’t against abortion. We women have the right to have unlimited access to abortion. Obama also is pro-choice.
As a medical student, I have seen how abortions are performed. It’s a very fast and painless procedure.
Coming from a moron who thinks that European superiority means having efficient abortions, that’s rich.
You can’t even argue the theme of this thread – so you have to change the subject.
BTW, the reason why you Euroweenies are so good at abortion is because you’ve had a whole century of practice in killing people: gulags, concentration camps, etc…
Getting those ovens warmed up?
lgm,
“Bringing a pen knife of an intellect to a nukefest battle of wits”
Did you ever just keep throwing the ball just to watch the dog keep coming back with it – because it was fun? We all need a pet.
I dunno, AJ. But apparently s/he-it is Obama’s debate advisor-prepper, going by The One’s public embarrassment the other night.
Just like a German shower.
Let me guess… the Josef Mengele School of Medicine?
The fact that you refer to it as a singular procedure raises a question on your credibility.

atheling: I’m also an American citizen. I was born in USA, my parents were born in USA. True: I’m also European. In fact I have 3 passports (nationalities): USA, Switzerland and France. In many aspects Europe is much better than USA. I have lived in both continents, I know what I’m talking about
obummers answers are not negated by mcains answers.
She’s European, just bringing her failed socialist ideas with her. Not to worry though, Europe is about to face the end of it’s ultra-liberal ways as they are being outbred by their large group of immigrants who want to swing the pendulum so far the other way that they will be begging us to come save them a 3rd time. I hope we stay home.
Fixed it for you
Spoken like a true liberal. There is compelling evidence that abortion is not “painless” for the children murdered at the hands of the “medical professionals” you have watched.
50% of all patients who undergo abortion die! And Obamessiah voted for laws that would compel the murder any of the children who managed to escape the abortionist’s hand! This is not the “safe and painless” procedure you claim.
Shame on you!
I sure hope you never treat me or my family.
McAmnesty won this hands down, but he still needs to work on his humor.
WarEagle82:
Shame is right. This “medical student” is a heartless b**** who sees nothing in murdering a helpless baby.
edelweiss:
Go back to Europe so you can watch your society die “painlessly”.
But john the libtard arguments around here provide so much. Do we really need more?
Raise your hand if any of you planned on voting for Obama, only to change your mind after the Saddleback forum.
I’ll wait.
That’s what I thought, ZERO.
The hell with the “cone of silence”. This is all stupid and meaningless. Obama did pretty well on Saturday, but McCain did excell in the format and crowd a little better. Of course the people on this board will prefer McCain’s unnuanced, fundamentalist answers. Others on liberal blogs prefer Obama’s answers. I find it hilarious how some of you are acting like the election is over, or Hillary will be dusted off. The forum was a panderfest(AS MANY OF YOU CLAIMED IT WOULD BE ALL OF LAST WEEK), and in the end will be a meaninglesss footnote.
Let’s see who the veeps are. Let’s see who wins 2 out of 3 debates? Wait until the various 527s get to work in September and October. I’m not sure who is going to win on November 4th, but I’m quite sure that Warren’s forum won’t have “jack” to do with it.
Wrong, that has been the lefts whole point, that McCain cheated sand I am still waiting on proof from you or any of the other liberals that he cheated. Waiting.

Fast and painless…for YOU
Hey Eidelweiss,
I’ve got news for you: Europe -especially Western Europe- wouldn’t be worth a damn without the US carrying the water for their defence and deciding to open its markets to their products after world war II-if any part of the world had that kind of extra emolument going for it, it too could be a snob sector of the world population.
If you like Europe so much, why don’t you just relocate?
I suggest though- once us uncouth Americans leave Europe- that you better work on your Russian and your knowledge of Crony Capitalism.
emphasis mine. Robert e Grigsby. tippecaonoe, Indiana, cicerokid
LOL. It’s absurdly desperate to believe CONTROL agent Maxwell Smart actually showed up and constructed some top secret device for the occasion. The reality is Obama is okay at reading totally meaningless speeches from a teleprompter, but turns into Maxwell Dumb the instant he’s asked even one substantive question. The bottom line is he’s not ready for prime time. At least not without 300 advisors and a teleprompter.
That’s cuz you’re all stuck on stupid.
Soft bigotry of low expectations.
McCain was upfront, confident and decisive, as a leader should be. If you want “nuanced”, then go watch a film or read poetry. That’s not what the POTUS is about. Sheesh. You people are pathetic!
I have lived on four continents and lived abroad for more than 12 years. I speak some of at least four languages.
Two of my siblings were born abroad as was one of my children.
I have ONE passport and consider myself an AMERICAN!
In NO aspect is Europe “much better” than America.
Typical elitist snobbery.
LGM..
it’s come out that Barack was feed in advance a few of the questions, as well as what the subject manner is about..
AND.. he had an extra question in advance BECAUSE John McCain was late..
The questions in, uhh, questions where the first couple (3 wisest people you know, ect…) being asked.
even with the benefit of XM radio, John McCain would have heard the questions he KNEW that were going to be asked.
I have to correct you there, luv2rumba.
That should read: “Europe wouldn’t be without the US”.
BHO even ADMITTED to cheating during the forum.. He said “I cheated a bit and looked at the one in advance..”
(i’m banging my head on the desk to remember which question it was)
Barry cheated too..
you little baby, LGM.
this comment section is above you pay grade..
YOUR pay grade.. tempermental kyboard
If you want to know which place is better, look at where people migrate to. not to many migrate out of the USA, but they sure as heck want to come here.
Oh Mistressjustice, you sound a little nervous…perhaps your Annointed One, Barack Obama is starting to feel his limitations?
Here is what you can do…go back to reading/working on your legal briefs and just chill, brcause BO isn’t going to pull it off this November-no matter how many grey hairs he paints on himself…
You’re right, MsJustice, but that’s not what has the Obama camp wringing their hands and complaining after Obama’s dismal Saddleback performance.
If it were only telecast to commenters here you’d could make a larger, base point. The fact is it was taken in by not just the immediate target audience but also by the general public.
Not to mention the media attention. Oops, I just mentioned it!
At any rate, you are right that it’s not us lowly commenters here the Obama campaign are worrying about. However, that’s exactly the point folks are making:
Voters see McCain in new light following Saddleback forum

McCain broke the deal, which is the definition of cheating. I don’t know whether he got information, and neither do you.
In many sports (cycling, track & field, …), professionals agree to random unannounced out of competition drug testing. They agree to notify officials where they will be at all times so they can be tested. Last year, Michael Rasmussen (Danish bike rider) was kicked out of the Tour de France not for doping, but for not being where said he would be for out of competition testing. We don’t know whether he was doping, but we don’t know he was clean.
It’s the same with McCain.
So you have no proof, just mindless huffpo driven slander. Typical dishonest liberal.
Foo.
Right out of the gate they started making excuses for Odimblubs performance, sad for you Obamanites, truly sad and I’m almost embarrassed for you. The real jewel was the “to tired from being on vacation in Hawaii for a week”… rofl @ all of you attempting to defend your chosen dillweed. Good luck in Nov. you’re going to need it.
of the two candidates..
Barack is the one who has admitted to doing drugs..
still not sure what your point is about the tour de france..
Its simple LGM, even for you. Did he hear the broadcast or not? If he didn’t then whats the big deal? This is simply a lame liberal excuse for the great ones pathetic excuse for a performance.
Grow up and accept he screwed one up.
It was about adoption, Dave, and you are correct – Obama did confess to cheating at least that question. Both campaigns were given some specific questions and a general outline of topics beforehand.
The hilarious thing is that even though Obama confessed to being the one who cheated, he still got his behind publicly handed to him! Great funny irony there!
It’s the same da*ned thing with the libs every time. “If our guy loses, it’s because your guy cheated!!”
They simply cannot compete in the arena of ideas and sound debate.
*yawn*
Zzzzzzzzz……….
One candidate as a young man spent his time stuffing cocaine up his nose, the other spent those years as a war hero in a POW camp. Talk about “compare and contrast”, it’d make one heckuva ad.
Dave C.- Huh? I have an will continue to support your use of various substances and porn. But your habits may have put your crack above my pay grade by distracting you.
LOL. #283. I’m pretty chilled. I’ve stated before, I hope Obama wins, but I won’t be going Hector Lavoe over my balcony if he loses. He has another 25-35 years of politics ahead of him. If McCain continues the Bush policies and our economy continues to tank, and things don’t improve overseas, the Dems will pick a better choice in 2012. I am chilled out, and I expect Obama to win a very close election due to the states he will carry. We’ll see. I don’t think Saddleback matters at all, and I don’t think Obama blew any opportunities.
Purplepeep:
The Rasmussen and Gallup polls showed a virtual tie before Saddleback and a virtual tie afterwards. I haven’t seen any bump in any polls. Moderates and independents will make up their minds after the 3rd debate and the various smear campaigns. It’s still early double P. You’ve been around, and you gotta agree that nobody will remember the very uneventful, Saturday, August 16th, 2008 a month from now.
Maybe we should just throw out some whoppers to even things out.
(Obama stopped by his old dealers house over on the islands and was stoned during the forum)
has he denied it? no!
see, it must be true, Odopey was to stoned to form any reasonable answers.
or maybe his Grammy made him some old fashioned brownies , you know the ones with the green inside he used to love so much…..
ridicules, yes, same as the bullcrap you guys are throwing out there.
Turns out both of them got a heads up. Sorry LGM, your arguments are blown away.
Is there any evidence that McCain had any knowledge of what questions were to asked?
No hyperventilating, weed-, mushroom- and any other mind-enhancing divination.
Troofers need not respond.
Remember, McCain has real-world experience, roughly 50 years of it, and has very likely encountered and analyzed many questions during thoose 50 years.
BHO has been living in Academia, a very severely politically-controlled area (Cook County), and a very nice neighborhood in Chicago that he could not afford without lots of help.
But there is a report (via Ace) where Warren admits giving BHO, but not McCain (he wasn’t there at the time), the first question.
Let the confessions begin ……
mj,
it’s only Monday the polls havent even caught up yet and yes, people will remember… imho of course.
Moreover, no amount of “huff ‘n puff” will change the fact that Barry O was in the cone of stammering stupidity.
edelweiss:

Laughably inane!
You won’t last long here at MM, making unsupported assertions such as that.
