Taking stock of Nancy Pelosi
When the Neil Cavuto show called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last week to respond to my column on her financial investments in T. Boone Pickens’ company, the Speaker’s office failed to respond. The Examiner has also asked her for comment and can’t get a comment either:
A search of Pelosi’s official web site found no announcement of the investment in the Pickens operation. A request to the Speaker’s official spokesman yesterday for information about the investment went unanswered. Coincidentally, Pelosi’s investment came the same month as the House passed the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007, which she hailed as making the Congress over which she helps preside “the most open and honest in history.” There are numerous ways Pelosi could provide assistance to CLNE and Pickens, including helping secure federal tax advantages. Pickens expects at least 15 percent profits on the wind farm and associated initiatives. At CLNE’s $14 per share value, Pelosi appears to own between 7,000 and 17,000 shares.
Most ethical, transparent, responsive Congress ever…

Most ethical congress ever *
* Does not apply to democrats
It takes her quite awhile to formulate an answer
You would think the botoxed one would be proud of investing green! Be a shining example for us nan, let the world know you are investing green…
Also, Soros is investing heavily in Brazilian oil. These people need to be held accountable.
She is not worth a comment. I am only ashamed to live in the same state as this phony.
But she’s doing it for the children. That makes it ok.
With 15% profits, shouldn’t they be charged a windfall profit tax?
Ask her if she still owns pig farms in North Carolina?
Pelosi is just doing the job most Americans won’t do.
Now now, I’m sure Nancy will have a response soon. Just give her a little more time. It’s hard having to think up new ways to circumvent the First Amendment in order to silence your critics after all.
She would look in a Prison jumpsuit…
Anyone have Photoshop up and running?
Wasn’t she going to clean the house? Seems to me it is more corrupt than ever.Of course I could be wrong.
I hope someone stays on this, until the end…Also she has allot of these types of ties…
But if the investment goes south, we’ll bail ‘em out, no worries.
Re #2 –
It’s tough to get those focus groups together on a weekend. They’ll test a series of answers and get back sometime this week.
ditto that, including the other two heads of the three headed monster Boxer and Feinstien. (gag)

Geee, Why can’t 60 Minutes get behind this obvious conflict of interest story? I’m sorry I had a senior moment!
Ethical - no
Transparent - no
Transparently Unethical - we have a winner.
we have a street named after her in Balto. I detour
She’s been consistently corrupt from the start. We’re just getting better intel now.
Oh.. and even better… Nan in a prison jumpsuit mopping the prison floor.
Why or why won’t Obamessiah pick her for a running mate?!?!? The hits just wouldn’t stop comin’
Well, the good news is that Winter is just around the corner.
Then all those Blue State Liberals up North can comfort themselves knowing that Nancy stands to make millions off Government subdsidies for her IPO investment in Pickens wind farm.
Of course, they’ll all be freezing their asses off in the dark.
Ah, but it’s a small price to pay to Save the Planet.
Because, in the slightly paraphrased words of Wesley Snipes’ character in “New Jack City,” “Money talks; BS runs the marathon.” The MSM doesn’t care about this stuff because they are just as corrupt, and I wouldn’t be surprised if many of them are also financially invested in this boondoggle. The fleece is on, folks.
Speaker Pelosi is just trying to save the planet. She’s trying to save the planet! And make a little profit.
Pelosi Clings To Her Obamessiah
A public official just invoked God! Quick, call the ACLU!
Oh, wait a second. It’s a liberal public official. It’s ok then.
From the CLNE IPO
“2,401,000 shares of common stock issuable upon the exercise of outstanding options at a weighted average exercise price of $2.97 per share (of which options to purchase
2,376,000 shares of our common stock at a weighted average exercise price of $2.96 per share were exercisable)”
She could have paid as much as $17 or as little as $2.97. MSM woun’t tell us, maybe it’s time to email National Enquirer?
Nan for VP
mcchristian
Make a little profit? I thought that was a dirty word for Pelosi!
Hey Pelosi. Can we say wind fall profit tax. Or big wind fall profit.
Pelosi’s financial stake smacks of an extraordinary conflict of interest at a critical time in the debate about the direction of our country’s energy policy.
Two points–at least–require further exploration. First, what is the specific financial stake that Pelosi has in this company? Number of shares, current fair market value per share, and approximate annual dividends. Second, how is that a member of Congress–let alone the Speaker of the House–ends up in the pool of investors who are able to purchase shares in an initial public offering? We should be very suspicious of the circumstances surrounding her purchase of her shares because it, again, smacks of an extraordinary conflict of interest.
If I remember correctly the Dems looked hard to find something that they could make Cheney and Rowe do the frog walk for. I guess it would be unlady like to have SanFranNan do that. And, I - sure - would - hate - to - see - that!
It’s only a dirty word if it’s Big Oil. Then it’s not just dirty, it’s evil. And fraudulent. And a hoax.
But the wind, oh, the wind is free and clean and she won’t be able to see the giant windmills from San Francisco or Georgetown.
You can sure as hell see them from in my little home town in the Texas Panhandle. Boone’s been here.
Nancy Pelosi, has one rule for herself and another rule for everyone else. “For me but not for The” She wrapped herself up in the feminist garments. Democrats were not supposed to think about any thing beyond, her milestone accomplishment as first woman speaker. Trained Donkeys!
Narcissism Maybe?
You tell me if it fits..
Symptoms of narcissism include:
Self-aggrandizement to the point of exaggeration, deception and outright lying.
Seeking and requiring excessive attention, admiration and rewards from others.
Fantasies of fame, power and success. Belief in their superiority over others.
Exploitation of others without feelings of guilt.
Envious of others. Belief that the perception is reciprocated.
Given to frustration, anger and irrationality when they do not get what they want.
It would be a lot easier to clean-up the house if we got rid of the rats roaches, and other vermin first.
Has anybody out there discovered why all three major TV networks are sleeping with Pelosi? Just a stupid question from an old guy.
You know, all this doesn’t really matter. She’ll be re-elected easily, and unopposed.
Really too bad.
We don’t need windmills from Pickens. All we need is Pelosi talking about ethics and all that hot air will sweep clear across the country.
With hurricane Fay approaching Florida, we know from past experience that leadership is required. The democrats have told us so. They sure played up hurricane Katrina for all it was worth.
Turn about is fair play, the democrats are on vacation and next week they will be partying in Denver. We need a slogan. Will the media still sleep with Pelosi and the democrats when:
Floridians Bleed And The Democrats Refuse To Lead
There is someone to the left of her, (I guess it is possible), running against her, Cindy Sheehan.
Quick. All of us, get behind Sheehan. God what am I saying?
How is that different from running unopposed?
I’m surprised Nancy Pelosi isn’t racing to push through legislation to build a windmill field in Florida.. She could make some serious money from Hurricane Fay..
I guess that would be too obvious though.

Operation Chaos part 2?
Could all 17 Republicans left behind in San Francisco get behind this?
HEADLINE EXTRA - READ ALL ABOUT IT:
Nancy Pelosi makes a BIG WIND
FALLprofit. What we need is for Nancy to say something nasty about Ellen DeGeneres or like.. Oprah.. Then she’d be on her way out the door in a jiffy I tell ya..
There’d be mad backlash from San Freaksisco then.
How do you politically triangulate San Francisco?
The real question is: “How do can we get it to crack off & fall into the ocean”?
I’m old enough to remember when they were claiming that Newt Gingrich was unethical, possibly criminal for publishing a book when he was Speaker of the House.
Democrats sure have come a long way, baby.

Looks like we found out where McCain’s “Cone of Silence” migrated to: it’s currently surrounding Pelosi’s office.
Since the obvious lack of content of her book speaks, well, volumes about itself, and her…”The One of No Content”, I feel compelled to at least offer a positive spin on, at least something…
The ONLY thing positive about her book is its cover picture of her. Yes, yes, I know it’s obviously air brushed, but it is a fairly good pic of San Fran Nan. Snappy shoes, Nan! I figure any woman her age who can look half way decent deserves credit. Too many women her age have no figure at all. Not bad for Nan. But I feel compelled to add the same comment I make about attractive women like Kirsten Powers, et al, it’s just way too sad that, though they are attractive, all of their marbles are stacked on the left side of their brain cavities. SO sad. I feel for those who are unfortunate to have to live in the same state or city as “Nan the Magnificent”…sheesh. How did she and Harry ever get elected? Oh, wait. That phrase about an “ignorant electorate” pops up…
Pelosi would have been a real star in the politburo, where the fat cats live the good life, and enslave the people with socialism.
Question of the day - if the Russians took over California, would anybody notice?
Hey, Pelosi is right about Dems being open and honest:
OPEN: We are going to tax the he!! out of the “Big Oil” moneymen through windfall taxes.
OPEN: We are going to nationalize the oil industry.
HONEST: We are going to move to plant a bunch of gigantic pinwheels (wind energy), even though they do about 20% best energy capture.
HONEST: We are going to save the world.
Ms. Malkin, please do not let the truth get in front of their open and honest reality. I would hate to see their combined heads implode. It wouldbe too funny.
Holy moly. Check out today’s Michael Ramirez cartoon at IBDeditorials.com…great “Nan-slam”! “Her Majesty”, indeed! Nan fiddles while America…parks their cars and walks to save their budgets. Not a bad thing unless you live 18 miles from work with no bike trails available or public transportation. And work 12 hr shifts. Jeez.
BlameAmericaLast #37 has it right, unfortunately. The people in her district will not punish her; they will pat her on the back for investing in wind.
The real question is “how did they get re-elected enough times to reach leadership positions?”
Any populace can be hornswaggled by a politician once. . .maybe twice, but that many times? That’s just stupidity on the part of the electorates.
And it’s not just San Francisco and Nevada, it’s pretty much the whole country.
Никто…
To steal from the late Rodney Dangerfield, with regards to taking stock of Nancy Pelosi,
Nancy, when your IQ hits 50…sell.
This is one stock I would short-sell immediately.
Respectfully,
eric aka the Tygrrrr Express
“Pickens expects at least 15 percent profits on the wind farm and associated initiatives…”
“Associated initiatives”? Hmmm, would that include the sale of his water that would be delivered to Northern Texas through the same land tracts that he’s hoping to TAKE using the imminent domain law by taking up the cause of wind power?
The SEC knows. It should be public record when she purchased the shares and how much she paid.
It will certainly be on her tax returns at some point.
Full disclosure on my part:
In the late 80’s I invested with Mesa Offshore Trust and turned a profit. Not much, but enough to justify the paperwork. This was a non-tax liability transaction. T Boone was a hero to me then. He is becoming slightly jaded in my eyes of late.
The same thing I was thinking the other night.
Work for Sheehan, get rid of Lugosi. At least as a freshman, she wouldn’t have nay power, no one would listen to her, and we KNOW how crazy she is.
Sounds like a Democrat to me, or a spoiled little kid.
Wait, thats redundant isn’t it?
As they entered illegally, they would be welcomed with open arms in Gnatcy Pelosi’s district.
In San Fran, Nan would think that the Russians are her constituents! She sure doesn’t want to hear from a little ol’ San Diegan like me!
