Sadr’s Mahdi Army up to its old tricks

By see-dubya  •  August 19, 2008 09:46 PM

I shouldn’t be surprised about this newest outrage; we’ve seen no shortage of it in Iraq from Sadr’s goons.

Chunks of hair waft lazily across the floor in the hot Baghdad breeze.

“This was the torture room,” said Muhanad, the leader of a U.S.-backed armed group that now controls the mosque.

“This is what they used for hanging,” he said, pointing to a cord dangling from the ceiling. “Here is a chain we found tied to an old man’s body.”

The horrific scene at this southwestern Baghdad mosque is what officials say was the work of a Shiite militia known as the Mehdi Army. Residents who live near the mosque say they could hear the victims’ screams.

That we knew Sadr’s propensity for torture makes his appeasement by Britain all the more tragic.

Not long ago critics here and abroad equated our infrequent water boarding with Islamic extremists’ torture.

Our use of water boarding and other measures is a matter of legitimate debate, but to give it the same moral equivalence as what went on in that mosque and other places is wrong.

‘Moral debate’ is why these killers are still breathing. Kill them now; I’ll be happy to read about it later, in a safe America.

It has been revealed that ITALY has paid tribute to the Islamic terrorists….

Water boarding-didn’t the L_O_T_E (McCain) come out against it – even though our special forces experience it during training?

    Bring back water-boarding..
Plus the spirit of PRESIDENT MADISON::

“It is a settled policy of America that as peace is better than war, war is better than tribute. The United States, while they wish for war with no nation will by peace with none.”

Get our troops out of EU-I’m tired of paying for their safety when they constantly betray us…..Thanks Mark Steyn for that head’s up!…..

GOP-better find a POTUS for whom we can vote or another party in in the offing!!!

Thanks- see-dubya- for letting me vent..

Yes, Kingfish. One and the same. Also supported by Iran. Eichmanndinajad is also a Mahdi cultist. It all fits snugly, does it not?

al Sadr was INDICTED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF IRAQ FOR MURDER. Then, somehow, that just “fell by the wayside.” Iraqi justice.

My friend, who is in the Army in Baghdad said there is a “do not touch” list of people that comes down from the very top.

al Sadr is on that list. If he was placing a bomb outside the Army’s base, they would not be able to touch him.

    POLITICAL WAR.

So, I guess the Iraqis can’t defend themselves from Iranian influence, huh? I guess it does kind of make Bush look good, and we can’t have that!

Also, thanks for the link. I shouldn’t be surprised that the liberal left is basically sharing in the victory of Iraq’s enemy, as the photo shows.

I guess they really aren’t that interested in developing the Third World, they just want someone else to all the work so they can take the credit.

    That’s what I think.

Imagine the coverage and outrage this story would receive if the word “mosque” was replaced with “church” or “synagogue”? Would the Left give it a pass or make up excuses for the perpetrators like they do for Muslims?
