Hey, who wants anti-Rove mobile phone service?
This is not a joke. Just arrived in my e-mailbox via Democrats.com. Seriously:
Dear Democrats.com Member,
When you pay your mobile phone bill each month, you probably don’t give a lot of thought to where your money goes. But given what’s going on in Washington these days, maybe you should.
Congress has finally started the process of holding Karl Rove — a.k.a. “Bush’s Brain” — accountable for his blatant (and possibly illegal) politicization of the Justice Department. All we can say to that is, it’s about time. (1)
But you probably weren’t aware that your mobile phone company may be among those that helped fund Rove’s rise to power, or advance his dream of a “permanent Republican majority.” Are you comfortable supporting that kind of company?
Consider the facts on record:
* AT&T’s® Political Action Committee contributed the maximum amount allowable by law to the Bush/Cheney campaign — twice. (2) In 2000, these funds helped pay Karl Rove’s expenses.(3)
* So far in this 2008 election cycle, contributions from the joint Political Action Committee of Verizon Wireless® and Verizon Communications Inc.® lean decidedly Republican (4), including five-figure donations to the National Republican Congressional Committee and National Republican Senatorial Committee.
* AT&T’s current CEO, Randall Stephenson, has donated tens of thousands to conservative politicians and PACs. (5) AT&T’s former CEO, Ed Whitacre, was a Bush-Cheney “Ranger” in 2004, raising more than $200,000 to give us four more years of Bush. (6)
Here at CREDO, we have a profoundly different set of values than Karl Rove and the companies that have shown support for his dream of a permanent conservative majority in Congress:
* We’ve been calling for Karl Rove to be fired and prosecuted ever since 2005, when his role in ‘outing’ covert agent Valerie Plame came to light.
* Instead of right-wing politicians, CREDO has given $60 million to progressive nonprofits like Planned Parenthood, Earthjustice, the ACLU and Iraq Vets Against the War.
* Rather than suppress voter turnout — Karl Rove’s signature trademark for stealing elections(7) — CREDO’s voter registration programs have helped 1.1 million people register to vote since July 2007.
If you want to see progressive change for America, it’s probably time to stop supporting a company that supported Karl Rove, and make the switch to CREDO Mobile. With CREDO you’ll get the same quality coverage, phones and accessories that you enjoy from any major provider — plus fantastic customer service from our team of dedicated and knowledgeable representatives.
Best of all, if you switch now, we’ll pay your early termination fee from those other guys (up to $200). Click here to visit credomobile.com and learn more, or call 866.513.8670 to talk to someone right now about making the switch. Be sure to mention code 500177 so they’ll know I sent you. But please don’t delay — this offer ends September 15, 2008.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
Sincerely,
Michael Kieschnick
Co-founder and President
CREDO Mobile
* All with a two-year CREDO Mobile service agreement. Offer subject to credit qualification. I use AT&T. I think I’ll stick with them.
I love you Karl Rove, you magnificent bastard!
How’s that working out? Maybe you guys should continue to support the regular phone companies.
Whatever happened to the BuyBlue website? It helpfully provided a list of companies to patronize — those that leaned to right.
I know who I DON’T want for my phone service now.
There people are pathetic.
And how’s that prosecution of Karl smartest-evil-bastard-in-the-world Rove working out for you?
a phone company that has values just like the democrats in congress.
“Can you hear me now? Or not listening?”
This is a SNL sketch, right?
Yet another leftwing enterprise to go the way of the dodo in about six months… sigh… don’t they ever learn?

So he must DIE!
CREDO?
Never heard of it.
The dem’s are so bent out of shape with anyone who is a ‘R’, I will probably be next on their list of hit list. GADS, what a bunch of dingbats!!
L
Verizon just bought Alltel (my carrier), so I’m good to go. More than happy to help Mr. Rove in any way I can.
So, where the hell is it? These people should be forced to take their meds.
If they were really progressive, they would provide the service for free. This looks alot to me like a capitalist venture trying to compete in an open market place, providing services in exchange for monetary consideration, no?
It is the money that they will pay “Air America” so that all of the on-hold back-rounds will come from them is what will bankrupt this venture.
Or something like that. Basically, scratch a lib-based business plan and find a black-hole to throw money into.
They try to execute the same political operations Rove did yet without a similar level of success, therefore Rove is evil? mmm… that makes a lot of sense. Not only are they fools but incompetent fools at that.
I KNEW there had to be a reason I flipped-flopped on leaving AT&T so many times.
Actually, I do. Once I sign the check and put it in the mail, it becomes the phone company’s money.
Can’t write today gang, Got to go over to ATT and buy some I-Phones for my business.
Just one short point. A classic example of why libs don’t understand economic issues. Americans buy products based on need and value proposition. I don’t see the successful companies stooping to this nonsense. They don’t need to. And the last thing I want is a political rant from people I hire to provide me with service. If I am a republican donor, does that mean I will get less support on service calls? Different pricing? This is fascism at its lib best.

You know, in this day and age with all the Playstations, Xbox 360’s, nintendo Wii’s and DS’, Blue-Rays, DVD’s, and various other forms of entertainment and gadgets to stimulate and entertain the mind and person, you would think that these idiots would be able to find something else, if not better, to do with their time.
Are there really people out there that are just this bored or who just have that much time on their hands to actually track down and keep tabs on such things?
I mean, i know that they all don’t have jobs which accounts for the fact that they are all able to go out and stage these idiotic protest rallies and other such nonsense while the rest of us are busy trying to make enough oney to cover their welfare checks, but come on…
If these idiots would take the time and energy that they take in coming up with all this ridiculous junk, and turn it towards something actually useful to the rest of the country, if not the world, what an incredible planet it could be.
But I guess we all have our priorities. Mine is to spend my free time being with and having fun with my children, and the rest of the time working hard at keeping food on the table and a roof over our heads. Theirs, I guess, is to mindlessly come up with all this conspiratorial crap and new “Boycott Lists” of companies that most people have either never heard of, don’t use, or will have no impact on what-so-ever.
Do they really think that AT&T gives a flying **** about what they have to say or whether or not some pot-head is going to use their phones?
I’m thinking…nope.
My carrier is not on the list I’ll correct that this weekend.
I read that and had to start pounding on my chest to get my heart started again. Michelle, *our* Michelle, on a donkey email list? Say it ain’t so!
As it is, if that’s what our hostess has to do to keep a finger on the pulse of the Domestic Enemy, then I’m emailing the Discovery Channel to ask about the possibility of her being in a feature episode of “Dirty Jobs.”
Is there anyone anywhere that checks sources on an advertisement. Are we really that bored? Is this an ad or a thesis? Honestly.
That email had to be sent out by Rove himself. I don’t think it was from Credo. He’s tricky like that ya know.
I see we were thinking along the same lines, there, Ret.
Wow, I had no idea AT&T was so pro-American. I’m dropping comcast today.
RetiredFirman, I think they were sent to WIIHAB so they can’t play that anymore. Now they have all that time on their hands.
Two comments:
1. Gee, I didn’t realize ATT was funding Karl Rove. I’m a Sprint customer now, but I just might switch to ATT now that I know.
2. F*ck it. Let’s fight. These people are hopeless. When are we going to have the next civil war?
Who else would be sending me? This is the only time of ever heard of your stupid company. And what happens on Sept.16?
I got that as well, i am on every mail list in the known universe. Not only that, i have dozens of relatives in africa and england who keep dying and winning lotteries, and there is someone out there who thinks I am in desperate need of “ahem” enlargement. This is probably because my email address has been active since I opened it on a hilltop in bosnia in 1998.
Credo is obviously a reseller, and according to wiki, they are leasing Sprint’s network. Did they check Sprint’s political affiliations?
To quote Steve Martin in “the Jerk” Navin R. Johnson: Ah… It’s a profit deal.
credo relies on a core group of liberal
suckerscustomersHey, where’s Sprint? Aren’t you guys on AT&T annoyed with all the clicks when the NSA starts recording all of your phone calls and recording your thoughts?
Have we checked to see if Al Gore owns CREDO?
Now I wish I had signed up with AT&T when I got my first cell phone earlier this year.
At least I have them for cable and internet.
Boy, that’s enough to scare any Evil-Criminal-Mastermind-Supervillain.
So, they’ll pay for me to switch? Now, I wonder what I can get Rove to pay me to stick with AT&T… bwah hah hah hah!
That’s what I want to be when I grow up. A Bush-Cheney “Ranger”!
Love the evil laugh!
Thanks b-cat. Harvey thought it was a bit too much…
On sept 16 they file bankrupcy. The extreme left lose their money and phone service.
LOL
Thanks for the tip.
yw
Here is their website. Click on their causes. WOW ! ! http://www.credomobile.com
Check out their reviews. http://www.alldaybuffet.org/2007/12/04/credo-mobile/
They use Sprint for their service. Not pretty from the reviews. The Air America of mobile phone providers.
From their mission page. Gag.
Go Texas!!! (where SBC who bought AT&T is based)… I have been angry with AT&T lately, but this takes a little sting out. Needless to say, I won’t be making THIS switch.
What’s next? Telling us which grocery chain to buy our arugula from?!
You missed the meeting. Whole Foods.
Well, guess I’ll keep my Verizon account!
CREDO: Best reception when you hold the phone to your left ear.
Think I’ll stick with Verizon, my kind of phone service.
Can ya hear me now? Oh wait, you use Credomobile? It’s a DEADZONE. (Cue creepy harp music)
CRUDO offers reception?
When they sponsor a major NASCAR series i’ll give them a call…
Do you leave the tinfoil on when you use the phone, or do you unwrap it?
Depends on whether you want Karl Rove listening in or not.
Here’s Sprint’s contribution stats:
http://www.politicalbase.com/groups/sprint-nextel-corp/13968/
Based on how libs run every other organization they get their hands on, I cannot imagine the grief one would have to endure with this phone company. Think I’ll get that extra AT&T line for the ‘Lil Skirt.
Do they really think they would switch, and give up their iPhones?
All their phones are rotary because it reduces the carbon palm print.
Crudo has given money to Planned Parenthood, tying Karl to abortion law by showing him walking in shallow water.
That would be “Rove He Wade.”
Michael Kieschnick is part of Soros’s Democracy Alliance and founder of Working Assets.
“Every time a customer uses one of the Working Assets donation-linked services (long distance, wireless and credit card), the company donates a portion of the charges to “nonprofit groups working to build a world that is more just, humane, and environmentally sustainable,” according to the company’s website, which claims that over $50 million has been raised for progressive causes.”
I think had Bush should have had Rove appear more on TV. I think that America would like Rove. He appears very likeable on Fox.
I had this phone compnay )CREDO, formery WORKING ASSETS) as my long distance provider for YEARS. They do free “citizen action” letter mailings with your info added, as well as free phone calls to elected officials in DC. I kept them as a “know your enemy” thing. Whenever they would come out for a bill, I would use the free phone calls to lobby AGAINST it and vice versa. I eventually couldn’t take it any more and dropped them earlier this year. Now it’s been fun filling in responses to their “Please come Back” ketters.
Now we know which service lgm uses!
I hope, one day, to be such a nemesis to liberals that a mobile phone company actually uses their hatred of me as a marketing point.
This is beyond parody.
Attacking Rove, you better hope Obama wins or there will be no government bailout for you when your Business tanks like Air America.
CREDO has one model of smart phone. Not much demand for smart anything with the nutjob left.
Let’s see, they want to arrest Karl Rove for Bush exercising Presidential Privilege but keep the FBI from executing a valid warrant on Jefferson’s office and it’s ok for Pelosi to invest lots of money in Easy Pickens’ wind farm while she brings up tax breaks for him but Stevens can’t get the oil companies to mow his lawn…I’m confused…which party was going to be the new shining beacon of ethics? Oh, by the way, Obama was for killing babies before he was against…what was he against?
Regulus #24:
I second that. Michelle does have the dirty job of just reading her troll mail.
If CREDO were anything more than junk, I believe that I would have heard of it before this post. I use AT&T and wonder if I can specify that they use the profits from my service to support Karl Rove, and whomever takes his place when McCain wins in November. I heart AT&T more now that I know what they’ve been doing with their profits. Go AT&T!
nuf sed
Cool! I’m sticking with Verizon (R).
I see idiocy like this and I wonder why Dems have the balls to say WE are responsible for divisiveness in our politics.
They are such buffoons. They’re idiots, cretins, retards, and a$$wipes, as well, but buffoon really captures their stupidity.
As far as I’m concerned, this telecommuncations firm just lost their CREDObility.
(Sorry, couldn’t pass that one up).
Ahh, this will definitely help with my decision of whether or not to renew with AT&T…
“permanent conservative majority” *drool*
Cue the black helicopters.
Wow!!AT&T and Verizion, putting thier money to back a winner.Credo Putting it’s money to back losers.Sounds like a typical Democrat plan.
A good read.
You know what would be fun?
Call the CREDO bozos to sign up for their service. Waste their time by asking all sorts of questions. Then say, OK sign me up!!
At that point the person on the other end of the phone will think he’s just landed another customer, and the commission that goes with it. Ka-Ching!!!
that’s when you say: “Hey, are you the CREDO guys who have all those conspiracy theories about Karl Rove?
You ARE?? Then, never mind.”
Call them: 1-877-76-CREDO.
I did.
Heh
Wow, just wow.
Great coverage, huh? I’m sure that only needs to be verified in Berkeley and San Fran, where the only subscribers for this joke will be found.
Instead of right-wing politicians, CREDO has given $60 million to progressive nonprofits like Planned Parenthood,… Earthjustice, the ACLU and Iraq Vets Against the War.
You’ve GOT to be kidding me. The expect anyone outside of hussein obamas camp and CHAOS (KOS) to respect this? Maybe huff-p.o.s.
“Planned Infanticide” and the “All Communist Lovers Union” all together?…just frickin great.
Dang! I should have read the entire noxious letter!
“call 866.513.8670 to talk to someone right now about making the switch. Be sure to mention code 500177 so they’ll know I sent you.”
My bad.
but do it!!
This give new meaning to the definition of paranoia.
From a CREEDO review from one of the above linked posts:
Yup…sounds like Liberals to me, all right.
No wonder my calls keep getting aborted.
Hey, I just got off the line with a Jesse Macbeth from CREDO Customer Service. When I told him that most of my calls were unclear, he told me to pull the string tighter and yell louder into the soup can.
I don’t think this guy knows what he’s talking about.
Poor Democrats.com. All wonked out, and AT&T PAC gave a whopping $5,000 to Bush, and none to kerry, in 2004.
Is it any wonder that the telecoms give more to Republicans, when the wacko leftard Dem based wants to prosecute and destroy the telecoms?
They will then be the first people to complain about the loss of service.
Not that I’m about to give a dime to these CREDO clowns, but Karl Rove? Come on, people. This guy was the architect of the 2006 Republican disaster, he was the original La Raza kiss-butt, and who can forget his bizarre comment about the need for illegals because he didn’t want his son to “have to change sheets” and do other menial stuff to get through college? [Hey Karl -- set up an education account for the kid.] Remember his whining when a radical open-borders group invaded his neighborhood?
I guess not. Has it come to this? I mean the guy is weird, strange, icky, and not in a fun way. But admittedly he is highly representative of what went wrong to the Republican Party and conservatives during the Bush years — everything, in short. In the end, “Genius” Karl was just one more RINO fool who wanted to be loved. Too bad it didn’t work out.
Wow, I’m impressed. A capitalist, socialist, fascist promotion all rolled into one.
Excellent!
More reason for me to stick with Verizon.
