She & Col West (running for Congress in FL) are the “true” post-racial people….talking about issues that are universally human and affect us all.

It would be great if she could be convinced to run at a local level in LA…they need all the help they can get there.

Anybody who works for a living ought to be anti-Obama because he will tax and regulate the working class and the businesses they work for. Eventually, he will drive business out of business or off-shore. Obama and the socialists that control the Democrat party have more in common with Hugo Chavez than an prior American President, including Clinton.

I’ve been reading about this lady on the net, and find her to be very impressive. She speaks her mind whether she disagrees ith “the left” or her fellow conservatives. So far, I like her, and I hope she goes a long way.(not politically obviously).

In my opinion, Obama is dissing this school for political reasons. I can only imagine what the rightwing would do with information that Obama is iving money to support a school in Kenya. He is already being painted as foreign, un-American, and Muslim by many on the right. It would kill his presidential chances to bring additional attention to his Kenyan background during the campaign.

I’m not saying it’s right, or pretty, or keeping a promise, but it’s POLITICS. You have to be an ahole in politics sometimes, and cover yourself from potential unfair smears.

Hopefully after the election Barack will send financial support to the Obama school. If not overtly, than as a “silent partner” in conjunction with celebrity or other types of wealth.

“Oprah”, “Can you spare some change and take this on?”

ackrite, that might be the noble thing to do (and I have no problem with it), but in fact (OK, from The Baltimore Sun - “fact” might be pushing it) “When Jim Hensley died in 2000, Portalski was named in his will, and she was left $10,000.” So apparently that was his dying wish. I’m not trying to portray Cindy as a saint, but she does do charity work, and it would be hard to imagine that adopting an orphan from Bangladesh was done simply as a tax write off as Scooter suggests.

    Don’t forget, you’re here too.

I’m Irish from way back and my middle name is Quinn. 150-175 years ago I would have found it difficult to find a job because of the bigots and their bias against the Irish. It’s nothing new.

What would the liberals and their shills in the media have to say if a Republican candidate had the name of James Crow Smith?

Yeah. You know exactly what would happen. Cut me some slack.

Embrace your hate, count the amount of -isms and insinuations in your statements, and relish in the acknowledgement from others.

Why would anyone be disdainful of Obama giving support to a school named after him in his fatherland? Kenya=Islam? A minority on the extreme right might want to nitpick on it, but the rest of us wouldn’t care. It’s a non-issue — nothing to be ashamed of, regardless of politics.
