Obama/Ayers gets an airing
No library gatekeepers can keep the lid on the truth forever. It’s out there:
A conservative nonprofit group with a past link to Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign is spending $2.8 million on an ad questioning Democrat Barack Obama’s relationship to a founder of the 1960s radical group Weather Underground.
The ad, which is expected to begin airing Thursday in Michigan and Friday in Ohio, focuses on William Ayers, whose Weatherman organization took credit for a series of bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol 40 years ago.
American Issues Project, the sponsor of the ad, is a nonprofit 501(c)4 organization. One of its board members, Ed Failor Jr., was a paid consultant for McCain’s campaign in Iowa last year. The campaign paid his firm $50,000 until July 2007. American Issues Project spokesman Christian Pinkston said Failor has no connection to the McCain campaign now.
Ayers is now a university professor. He and Obama live in the same Chicago neighborhood and served together on the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a charity group. Ayers also held a meet-the-candidate event at his home for Obama when Obama first ran for office in the mid-1990s.
“Barack Obama is friends with Ayers, defending him as, quote, ‘Respectable’ and ‘Mainstream,’” the ad states. “Obama’s political career was launched in Ayers’ home. And the two served together on a left-wing board. Why would Barack Obama be friends with someone who bombed the Capitol and is proud of it? Do you know enough to elect Barack Obama?”

There is more to the Bill Ayers story. It seems incredible but it’s true. On September 11, 2001, the NY Times ran a worshipful article about Bill Ayers in which Ayers said he had nothing to apologize for, even bombing the Pentagon. Neither Ayers or the NY Times saw any irony in this interview being published on September 11, 2001. For the Times and for Ayers, Sept. 11, 2001 was simply a day of blowback.

Come to think of it, Dad never had very good advice.
I have feared for the Obama children since they lost taking life lessons with Rev. ‘Gawd-damn America’ Wright. Just knowing that ayers is taking up the slack warms my heart. I also hear that Rezko has offered to teach them finance practices when he gets out of jail.
I can now sleep well at night.
So, one thing has been bothering me for a long time. I think Obama would be the absolute worst thing that could happen to this country, but…..

All this does is distract from the utter failure that Obama the politician is and will continue to be. Come on people, let’s debate the issues. Those should be easy enough to win. For instance, this thread’s topic regards the muted relationship between Barack Obama and Bill Ayers. Your comment relates to a much earlier and slightly off topic discussion regarding Rachel Ray, Dunkin’ Donuts and a type of scarf called a “keffiyah.” I mention all three variables because, readers here who aren’t familiar with the topic you are alluding to have no idea what you’re talking about.
Another small point, regarding linked photo appropriateness – albeit the chair that MM is sitting on looks like a tablecloth from a Palestinian Pizza Hut, it really can’t be confused with a scarf or a deliberate article of clothing indicating solidarity with terrorism. Admittedly, had MM been actually wearing a “keffiyah,” your submittal would have exhibited a fine and appropriate example of “irony” in relation to MM’s earlier criticism of Ms. Ray’s choice of wardrobe.

I am pretty sure anything in that collection of papers embarrassing to Barak Obama is en route to the “memory hole”.
I find it incredible that William Ayers has been able to hold a professorship as long as he has; why there couldn’t have been some Member of Congress who would have had the stones to link education funds for the State of Illinois with the departure of Ayers from any publicly funded school.
Yet a bit more ammo for those who believe there is some high-level commonality between the “Right” and the “Left”.
It’s also strange to me how Wm. Ayer’s father never disowned/disinherited him, seeing as the energy industry is loaded with Tory Righties .
Keep up the pressure. Everything about Obama is bad for America.
If it had been John McCain that had a relationship with Ayers years ago, Keith Olbermann’s toxic spittle would have to be wiped off the NBC camera lens every 15 seconds.
