They didn’t lose a SET during their entire march to Gold. Sweet.
Very motivating!
What a proud day for America to have these two gals win the gold. Sure makes me so proud of them and all citizens who are there for us all. God bless our country and each there.
L
I think that’s pretty cool.
Play that and Kobe’s answer at the Republican convention!
WOW! I think nbc will employ the time-delay buffer to make sure this heresy does not happen again! /sarc
I hear Olby-nut had a heart attack after this aired…Ha, Ha…
Saw the match “live” and thought this was pretty cool.
Imagine that…athletes proud of their country and its leader.
I saw this last night. It was so very cool!!
And you know, one of my favorite parts of the Olympics, is each and every medal ceremony that has the Star Spangled Banner sung with an Athlete with his/her hand over their heart.
Last night when I heard “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave”……I thought, hmmm likely not part of the Chinese anthem?
In 2 olympics straight!!
Saw it and loved it. Then I thought I might have missed something…
i love beach volleyball, and i love our olympic winners! and, yes of course you won’t be seeing them thank the prez for all he does on NBC.. i am surprised they didn’t the NBC mic didn’t hit her in the head as she said that..!!
Video is disabled right now, but great for these girls!
That must’ve made Bush’s day; normally he spends every day deflecting criticism, some of it justified.
What are they thinking!? Don’t they know the only things you can say about President Bush on an international stage are negative things!?
No, seriously, though, it is inspirational and, sadly, surreal these days, to see “celebrities,” especially young ones, say they’re thankful for Bush in front of a large audience. I’m surprised no one asked them, “Is that a ‘cool’ thing to say?”
I’ve been watching May and Walsh play, and was already a big fan. Now I’m an even bigger one. USA!!

I think this is an awesome idea. How can we get Rush to play the audio of this, and get this idea to the RNC?
NBC must have hated this. In the little I have watched of the Olympics, NBC appeared to be actively rooting for China.
much much cooler than professional volleyball: USA Women’s Eight+

You may have to tell NBC your local affliate and claim Comcast as your isp. I also had to load silverlite but it’s worth this video. Look for the overhead tracking shot at 7 minutes in, it will give you goosebumps.
Then watch them get their medals; they made me PROUD.

That’s my take on the Olympics too.
Actually Womens beach volleyball and gymnastics (mens and womens) is the only things I’ve seen.
Yeah, pretty much. Plus swimming and high-diving. The pro-China was blatant during women’s high-dive.
I watched that last night and couldn’t believe my ears, especially when they thanked him for all he does. He had spent a considerable amount of time with them, and must say I had thought they were trying to set him up when they offered to let him pat their rumps, which is their thing. Now it turns out they were really sincere with the offer, proving just what class acts they really are.
Beauty, talent, brains and repeat gold after over 120 undefeated games. If only more people could be like them.
What did Kobe say?
And now in keeping with the Fairness Doctrine, here’s five seconds of John Conyers and Maxine Waters shouting out “Impeach Bush.”
Something The Golden Calf just can’t bring himself to do. I understand that Muslims in this country never do either. Just sayin…
Skimpily Dressed, Wet and Exhausted Girls Profess Love for Bush While Under Interrogation.
You go, girls! Y’all are an inspiration, too!
They actually grabbed the reporter and hugged her, and she looked like she was going to faint. Hmm, the reporter was wearing bright red, I wonder why…
“Eat more chicken”
Okay that was pretty lame, but the women beach volleyball team was anything but and won in perfect fashion by never losing a set. Congrats.
If they’re in skimpy bikinis I’m gonna puke.
Sweet girls, and cute. Politics aside, congrats for them.
USA! USA!……..
Thank goodness for Tivo so I can fast forward through all of NBC’s propaganda and watch our athletes. The displays of patriotism have been inspiring to my family and my son now aspires to be an Olympian someday. Thank you Kerri, Misty, Michael, Kobe and all the rest!
sounds like LGM talking about Obama.

You’ve summed up your existence rather well
Kuddos to you for being so self-aware.
walterc and b-cat, you must not be watching much Olympics coverage. I probably watch 3-5 hours a day. NBC (as is typical and understandable) is on overdrive in covering USA athletes and most of the commentators are actively rooting for USA individuals and teams, and if all you saw was gymnastics and beach volleyball, you would know that NBC’s coverage there is particularly pro-American and almost anti-Chinese in some respects (especially gymnastics). Keep it real. In most sports being covered at the Olympics by NBC, the commentators have a personal relationship and long history with the USA athletes and coaches they are covering. Hell, Karch and Marlow (the guys covering beach volleyball) worked out with May and Walsh during the tournament.
AG, the gal reporter hugged during the interview covers beach volleyball regularly and is friends with May and Walsh.
I actually watched this and couldn’t believe that NBC didn’t fade to black.
MistressJustice, polictis aside? Please get some help!
I saw the video of Bush kicking around with Misty May and Kerri before the games and it was great. So nice to remember that not everyone hates this man.

Yes, that is what I said.
Look whose back to pick fights for no reason or provocation at all. Has your gone “Christopher Walken in Deer Hunter” yet in anticipation of returning to you?
This is a postitive thread, so bug off with your negativity, cow.
MJ, positive thread, then why bring in your negativity. Bugger off yourself.
I am so very proud of these ladies for expressing true gratitude to President Bush. Awesome! A few patriotic Americans still left in the USA! Amazing!!!!
BTW MJ, my daughter has been having treatments for leukemia. Okay.
Thank you Kerri and Misty!!! We are so proud of you!
And, thanks, Michelle, for posting these great Americans in China.
I have been impressed that every single American Olympian who has won the gold has their right hand over their hearts during the national anthem. Impressive.
HA! The vid at Hot Air does not work so Allah linked YouTube which had it yanked:
God Bless America and God Bless these girls. Not only are they winners but they had the mindset and good brains to think our president. I am proud to be an American. ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL
Then I would think that you would feel more peaceful and postive than to post your insult in #36. It was unprovoked, out of the blue, and an asinine cheapshot.
Politics aside, I COMPLIMENTED THE FREAKEN VOLLEYBALL GIRLS.
Your snarky crack was based on and in response to NOTHING.
Politics aside, I hope your daughter pulls through 100%, but it sure doesn’t give you a “free pass” from me to drop unprovoked insults. Dish it out and take it back.
Again, and back to positivity, these girls should be very proud, and I don’t care about their politics. I’m happy for them, and proud of them. The video was very cute and sweet.
Yeah, the Chinese anthem is more like this.
It’s the East German anthem from the movie Top Secret.
Hail, Hail, East Germany,
Land of Vine and Grape.
Land where you’ll regret,
Any try to escape.
No matter if you tunnel under,
Or take a running jump at the wall.
Forget it, the guards will kill you,
If the electrified fence doesn’t first.
I saw this live last night, had to back it up several times to catch all they were saying. I showed my husband, and we both said, woo hoo, I’m sure NBC did NOT have a tingle down their legs… LOL
You go girls, both of them are a class act.
I stayed up late to watch the match and couldn’t believe my hears that Kerri made it a point to say thank you to the President for inspiring them and for all that he does. I think Keith Olbermann would have fainted. Congratulations to this All American team!!!
Contrast that with the Dixie Chicks
SoCal Chicks Rock!
Attractive girl too… but she did look surprised.
It was a good match, the Chinese players were good but they didn’t have the teamwork the Americans had.
These gals did a great job! This did look a bit tense in the rain.
Congrats to them! These two are truly two great American patriots representing the country well as ambassadors and showed true sportsmanship on the sand.
The compliment to Bush showed that these two are not the typical left leaning liberal Hollywood douche bags, but actually professional athletes. I think the typical left leaning liberal Hollywood douche bag class can learn a thing or two.

I disagree, Dakine. I have watched almost every gymnastics program and didn’t find any anti-Chinese bias at all. As a matter of fact, I felt that all 3 commentators went out of their way to compliment the other gymnasts, including the Chinese ( who deserved it, by the way).
oh, and I thought it was very kind of Kerri Walsh to mention the President like she did. I agree it’s nice to hear positive comments for a change.

You and your daughter are in my thoughts. I wish your family the very best.
Wait, I though everybody hates Bush?
Thats why we re-elected him. We hate him so much, we wanted him to have 4 more years as punishment for his lies and for trying to ruin America.
The MSM, Al Gore, John Kerry, and BDS Americans still haven’t figured it out yet.
Oops. Here’s that video:
George Bush hangs out …
Volley Girls video is here! Great quality sound and pic.

How often do we hear our President getting a compliment like that on network TV? Never. Because 7 of every 10 people hate Bush, it must mean that the remaining 3 are just stupid (brainwashed, uninformed, delusional, etc.). If I’m counted in the same company as these beautiful and talented ladies, then I don’t mind the label.
I could find no mention of the duo’s compliment on Kos or HuffPo, except for one commenter on HuffPo saying, “WTF?” A lot of the comments attached to HuffPo’s volleyball slideshow discuss how athletes should play naked.
Congratulations, Kerri and Misty. America’s proud of you. And 3 out of 10 would like to say thank you for not being afraid to acknowledge your appreciation of our President.
Between these young ladies’ expression of pride, and Kobe Bryant telling Chris Collingsworth that he’s proud of his country, well, it doesn’t look good for BHO among the high-profile athletes!

Hot, champions, and republicans. The trifecta!
And I half expected the NBC reporter to say “Sorry, hon, we don’t give shout-outs to Bush on this network.”
For some reason Stephanie Brown-Trafton hardly a mention. 1st gold medal winner for the U.S. in the discus since 1932. I was very proud of her accomplishment…she wasn’t even expected to win a medal. It may not be a “pretty” event, but by god she won it.
I think those patriots need to be properly interviewed Michelle. Yes, I’m thinking Hot Air Vent!
ooops…1st gold medal winner in the women’s discus since 1932.
I ripped on the Olympics when it first started a couple of weeks ago but I have been rejuvenated in my support of our team for this year!
navywife I actually heard one of the commentators say, as the camera focused on a Chinese gymnast “We all live in the world, does she look 16?”
I had to rewind the tivo to see if my ears were working right.
They aren’t intimidated by anybody!
I couldn’t watch the YouTube video because it had been pulled for a copyright complaint. NBC is just upset these awesome women didn’t make the “O” sign after winning so Chris Matthews could get a leg tingle.
NBC playing the video :”and I wanna thank MR.Beep-beep for all of his inspiration.”
Wow, these women did what most Democrats will not do. First, they thanked the President for the work he does. Second, regardless of how they may feel about the man, they certainly have respect for the position. Sure, they liked the “man,” too, but it did remind me of how Democrats show little respect for the Presidency and the process by which he is elected.
Thank you for the link MM and MsUnderestimated! It did my heart good to see some beautiful young republicans give props to the current Commander In Chief!
Screw YouTube, look here:

“I can’t wait to get back to Denver. I really dig the hotel staff there.”
In the extended version, they say they want to have babies.
Uh, I could help them out with that.
Really, it wouldn’t be a problem.
REALLY, I MEAN IT!!
‘Fraid their husbands would object
Anyways, it was really great to see people with even temporary celebrity status thanking the President, especially on national tv.
Great match and loved their Pro-Bush comments. Lots of athletes have mentioned meeting the President and/or getting phone calls, good stuff.
the conduct and apparent pride of our athletes as they stand on the podium and sing along with the national anthem with tears in their eyes is absolutely awe inspiring. congratulations to our olympic athletes one and all for showing the world the true face of america. winners with class and pride!
I had no idea they were illegal aliens.
USA pride what a concept. Won’t see that on huffpo, kos et al.
*GASP!!!*
Are you DARING to question their Patriotism? their love of their own country? the country that guarantees and grants them the ability to say the things they say and do the things they do without fear of being thrown into a ‘Re-Education Camp” or to be put into a rape room to watch their daughters, sisters and/or wives raped repeatedly by their captors, or to be strung up on meat-hooks and beaten mercilessly for their views? To live without fear of being shot at a wedding ceremony for speaking out against a member of the Government?
How DARE you question such a thing. They are the very picture of what Patriotism is.
(Ewwww…not only did I vomit a bit in my mouth while writing it, but I don;t thinkthere is enough soap in my house to feel clean enough for having written that…sarcasm or not.)
Nah. They’d just dub over another voice of someone saying “Obama” instead of “President”.
I must have missed that, but I don’t see how that is anti-China. If it walks like a duck…
Would like to have responded yesterday, but Fay was in the way.
