First gaffe of Obama-Biden ‘08: “Let me introduce to you the next president…”

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 23, 2008 03:23 PM

Obama gets to the climax of his introduction of Biden and says…

“Let me introduce to you, the next president — vice president — of the United States…”

Snort…

Not ready for prime time.

From the McCain camp:

“Barack Obama sounded as though he turned over the top spot on the ticket today to his new mentor, when he introduced Joe Biden as the next president. The reality is that nothing has changed since Joe Biden first made his assessment that Barack Obama is not ready to lead. He wasn’t ready then and he isn’t ready now.”

***

Biden jokes about McCain’s “seven kitchen tables.”

Hey, good luck on that 57-state campaign trail, Joe.

Biden: When you look at how Obama handles challenges, “you learn a lot about the strength of his mind.”

Snort.

Biden accuses McCain of “yielding to Swift Boat politics.”

3:38pm Eastern. The Mouth is still going…This may be our last chance…to restore America’s soul!

Biden ends, finally: “God bless America and may he protect our troops.”

With Obama-Biden in office, they’ll need all the blessings they can get.

I’m just happy for the African American community that Senator Joe Biden felt that Barack Obama was a “clean & articulate” enough black man to be his running mate..

They must feel really good about this approval.

Articulate enough to say “Here come the new prez of the United States”!!

I wet my pants when I heard him say that!

Gaffe no but these words will come back to haunt Biden and of course Imus is at the center:) it is an Imus Centric World.

    Washington Post article

On a lighter note, both Biden and McCain were among the most frequent guests on Don Imus’ radio show, often heaping praise on each other. During one show in 2006, Biden was effusive about McCain’s efforts to stop the Bush Administration’s torture policy.

“You know, I mean, thank God for John McCain in saying, whoa, what are you guys talking about?,” Biden told Imus.

But that friendship is likely to be strained further during the
upcoming election, as Biden is tasked by Obama to attack McCain. It is a task he had already begun even before being picked.

Entire Article here…But I don’t think Joe Biden will go on Imus in the morning anymore too bad so sad. Both Obama and Biden called Imus’s NHH Satire sound byte Verbal violence..this is coming from the man who sat in the Rev Jeremiah Wright’s church and thinks Ludacris is an artist and he has him on his I pod. No neither Jeremiah Wright or Ludacris apologized…but Don Imus did.

Once the conventions are over and out of the way, McCain would be smart to come out “blasting” against Obama and his slip-ups. It’s obvious Obama can’t speak without a written speech or teleprompter. The debates should be a McCain sweep, unless one believes everything the MSM says. I listened to Mr. Berg on the local radio station yesterday, and he had some good points. He’s no idiot. He’s concerned that after the convention is over, the Republicans will come out with the citizenship problem, and put the democrats in complete disarray. Better to be sure now, than wait until right before the election to have the McCain camp say, “Oh, by the way, we have info that Obama isn’t a U.S. natural born citizen.” Right now, I doubt there will be anything said, in the MSM. Nothing must deter the great socialist/marxist Messiah.

Oh, and for all you Libs downplaying The Golden Calf’s “slip-ups”, and claiming that they are in no way a sign of his incompetence, might I remind you of 8 years of claiming that President Bush’s “slip-ups” were nothing short of proof that he was, amongst other things, an idiot and incompetent. Why, you have even named them “Bushisms” and have come out with calendars and all sorts of nonsense in an attempt to embarrass him in front of the entire world. Therefore, you need to admit that, based on your own standards, The Goldne Calf is therefore, incompetent and an idiot…amongst other things.

Now, you aren’t admitting to being hypocrites are you?

You guys may have already discussed this and I might have missed it, but has anyone made the connection between Biden, Biden’s son that is the AG and Larry Sinclair being arrested on June 18th of this year? I did not know anything about this until today. It certainly explains why Obama would feel obligated to pick Joe the Gaffemachine. I usually dismiss stuff like this because it sounds so far fetched, but there are too many connections here and why in the world would anyone pick someone that received less votes than Dennis Kissenich? Biden received 9,000 votes and came in last in the Dem primary race. I know Obama needed something, but Biden? Something smells here.
