Values Voters can’t trust any candidates who refused to show up for the Values Voter Debate held September 17th, 2007.
Those candidates are
Fred Thompson,
Rudy Giuliani,
John McCain,
Mitt Romney,
and all of the Democratic candidates.
Those four Republicans all worked together to create a McCain/Romney ticket. Romney worked hard for top billing, promising on February 5th to keep fighting all the way to the convention. But this meeting with “prominent Republicans” on February 6th changed Mitt’s mind, and the next day, on February 7th, Mitt dropped out and implied that any candidate who didn’t drop out then and give their full support to John McCain would “be a part of aiding a surrender to terror.”
We can only trust the Republicans who actually showed up for the Values Voter Debate.

I’m not sure if I’d make a big deal about her being governor of a big state though. Alaska has fewer residents than the smallest state, and if it ever completely thaws out it might actually be smaller than Rhode Island.

Another example of the liberal media losing it’s principles – While some reporters were digging to find out who the VP was going to be, it appears all the libs, (like those female reporters on the plane oogling Obama) were just sitting back waiting for the Magic Text Message. It didn’t come until almost 5am. Real reporters were working on the story.

Would you have ever sat on a Board with or sought the approval of William Ayers?
Would you have allowed a slum lord to help you buy your family home?
Would you offer medical help to babies surviving botched abortions, or would you deny help to such babies?
Biden might only be the VICE Presidential candidate but remember when Tom Eagleton was added to McGovern’s ticket? That ship sunk quickly.

What Biden has — foreign policy experience, and name and face recognition. Most Americans can at least say, “Hey, I know that guy from somewhere…”
History is made when people aren’t paying attention. How many were awakened to their cell phones beeping in the wee hours? Odd. He waited two days too long.
Next up, McCain. Too soon for Jindal, Steele, or Palin (I personally wouldn’t mind any of them). Condi’s not interested, and she would be labeled as more of the same, anyway.
Romney. Name and face. Amiable. Tightens up McCain’s loose brand of conservatism. X-factor: Romney’s Mormonism freaks some people out, like he’s part of a crazy cult or something.
I speculate, and I’m probably wrong. Just a layman’s guess. What are the Vegas odds?

I use the refresh button on my browser. If I want to keep up with new posts on a long thread, I open another tab for whatever other web surfing I want to do, and come back to the thread tab every now and then and refresh it. Sometimes, when the discussions are flowing hot and heavy, I’ll have 3 or 4 tabs devoted to particular threads. It beats scrolling to the bottom and trying to figure out where I left off every time.
I hope Bobby Jindal stays as far away from McCain as possible. Any gains to be made in terms of popularity would be lost due to any relation or perceived relation to the policies and baggage of McCain. If Jindal has any hope of becoming President, he needs to keep his distance, continue doing what he’s doing in Louisiana, and then make his move in 2012 under the apt title of “Conservative Republican”.
