The good news about the natural born citizen question, is it a Hillary backer that is doing the push.
Yeah, & have you noticed how weak Hillary’s support of Obama has been? She has said hardly anything in support of him.
You have to wonder if the legal Bomb is coming that will disqualify Obama..

Let’s look at the options 1) either no one knew on Tuesday (this still makes Biden a liar) because no one knew not even him who it was at that time. That is your premise. If he had said, hey you’re probably wasting your time, no one knows who it is yet and since I have stated I didn’t want the job, it probably isn’t me. Now that would have been a truthful way of stating this. Of course there is option 2) he was told he was not the guy on Tuesday and Obama is so indecisive that he changed his mind on Thursday. This would make Biden not a liar but telling the truth on Tuesday.
Then there is option 3) Biden knew on Tuesday he was the guy; and is such a liar, that the first thing out of his mouth was a lie: I’m not the guy. Because he is just like Obama he can’t think on his feet to tell the truth without divulging the facts.
Dumb and Dumber in ‘08 is the dem ticket. But, to call MM a liar is just of the mark.
I think from a political stand point it is a good move for Obama. Biden will bring allot of blue collar white vote as well as seniors. In today’s politics gaffs really don’t mean anything at all unless you’re on the net it just gets tossed under the rug in both parties. Many think that McCain will pick a woman or Romney. I don’t because John is a military fire & brimstone type of guy I cannot see him picking a woman to be his vice at all. John doesn’t strike me as the type of man who would discuss critical situations with a woman I just do not see that in his personality. Mitt would be a good choice for him economically and regional map wise but I do not believe the GOP base will let him do that. Evangelicals will never let a Mormon in the Whitehouse. The power pulling the strings of the GOP base in today’s republican party is evangelical and neoconservative wing of the party. With evangelical being the pro choice end and the neo’s the war end. Their isn’t a conservative end anymore as the party in whole spends as much as the dems if not more to the till of 8.5 trillion deficit.. Conservatives are not part of the republican party anymore we just think we are. I think John will either choose a war guy or an evangelical like Huck or maybe AIPAC’s guy Lieberman. Either way we conservatives will be pushed further out of the party. We either get Neo type fascism or Marxist type fascism. We can be rest assured though that neither party will be limited government.

Hillary has almost 50 percent of the delagates. Many of them want to see her as the VP. That’s what a convention is all about – the democratic process. If the VP nomination process goes into more than one round – Biden will almost undoubtedly bow out.
If Hillary announces to the convention she will not accept a VP nomination – no matter what … well even if she does say that…and delagates still nominate her…it might make for some interesting watching, to say the least.
On the Republican side – McCain also faces the reality of the convention. A McCain-Liebermann ticket would win over a lot of Independent Moderates (who will be the deciding factor in this election) but convention delagates would undoubtedly not allow it. Thus, we’ll probably see “Olympic” Romney as the VP choice -although Duncan Hunter – I think would be a great choice – because of the “California Clout” factor. There’s other choices for McCain – but “conventional wisdom” points to Romney.

McCain needs an attack dog against both Obama and Biden, and Romney fits the bill. He’s the only one on McCain’s short list (at least the short list WE all know of) who is more than a match for Biden in any debate. Biden would eat Pawlenty and Palin for lunch, which pains me to say, because I really like Palin (Pawlenty, not so much, but he’d be okay, I guess).
I think when Romney dropped out back in February, this was the deal that was made between him and McCain. Everything else has been smoke and mirrors.
Who else remembers Romney forgiving that $40 million debt from himself to the campaign? No businessman worth his salt does that just out of the goodness of his heart.
Romney is WAY up on Intrade . . . just the way Biden was a couple of days ago.

I’m not saying Sarah isn’t sharp . . . she most certainly is. I’m saying that the experience factor would rear its ugly head. That is McCain’s biggest advantage right now; Biden would seek to destroy it and it would be easier for him to do so with someone who has little experience on the national stage.
Sarah would look attractive next to Biden for sure – both physically and verbally – and I know that counts for a lot, but Biden is pompous enough to pass himself off as looking a lot smarter than he is.
I’m just concerned that we need to have some real national experience on the ticket and someone who has proven great debating skills and who we KNOW has an excellent chance of taking down Biden the windbag.
Romney, IMHO, fits that bill best of everyone on McCain’s short list.

If her crybaby acolytes really think that McCain is going to be a president in the same mold as Hillary, they’re beyond stupid. Hillary may have helped unite the party, but this general election isn’t just about the PARTY. Moderates and independents(particularly men) are up for grabs, and don’t tend to like or trust Hillary Clinton.

Being from Texas, I’m sorta hoping to see McCain choose Kay Bailey Hutchison for VP. I know she took some hits as head of the EPA, but what Repub didn’t in the last 8 years?
Actually for McCain, a Obama/Biden ticket only accentuates Obama’s weaknesses-if McCain doesn’t infuriate his base. Other than that, the real threat to McCain has just vanished…the Obama/Biden ticket is just a crooked liberal with another crooked liberal.

Sarah Palin is an avid gun owner, hunter, and lifetime member of the NRA.
She is adamantly pro life, and just recently had a Downs Syndrome baby. She knew this while she was pregnant, and chose life.
She has a solid record supporting (and living according to) gun rights and right to life.
I don’t know Palin personally, if that is what you mean. From what I’ve seen of her, however, I like her very much.
But if she were chosen mainly because people think she would grab disaffected Hillary voters, I think that would backfire for this reason:
Liberal women like liberal women. They can’t stand conservative women. They are very catty about conservative women. Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter . . . the list goes on and on.
Look at what was done to Katherine Harris after Florida 2000 – they trashed her clothing, her makeup (okay, they had a point there!)
Heck, Condi is not much of a conservative, and they trash the living daylights out of her, just because she’s associated with the Bush administration.
What do you think they’d have to say about a former beauty pageant winner? Not that there’s anything wrong with that, IMO, but they’d tear into Palin for that!
