Hill’s convention message to delegates: Go Your Own Way
She always was a Fleetwood Mac fan. Now, she’s singing an uncommitted tune to her delegate hounds.
“You can go your own way:”
No guidance from Clinton
Speaking to reporters after her address to the New York delegation, Clinton offered delegates no instruction on how to cast their votes, Amie Parnes reports.
“I will be telling my delegates that I will vote for Barack Obama,” she said. “How they vote is a more personal decision. They want to have their chance to vote for me. That is what traditionally happens … some people are having to make up their minds because there are arguments pulling them both ways.”

It’ll be interesting to see how many of Hillary’s supporters will actually vote for Obama. I’m guessing only 25% of those delegates.
Hill’s convention message to Obama: Go Away
Why is it that the Dems actually go crazy after they lose elections. Look at Gore and Jun Carey. Now Hillary can be added to the Crazy list.
She’s not the subject of “Rhiannan” is she?
If momma aint happy, aint no one happy.
so. completely. awesome.
*getting the popcorn ready*
You know, I stated in another thread that Hillary will toe the Dem line in order to run in 2012.
I could very well be wrong with that.
Hillary could be banking on the idea that she will be the only viable candidate who can win in 2012, and that no matter what umbrage she might take for what she does today, it will dissipate after a Republican victory.
The Dems will be at her feet in 2012.
Just finished watching all of the clips from the Saddleback forum on You-Tube –
Barack Uh Uh Uh Uhbama
clearly can’t handle trying to think on his feet without his teleprompter and carefully scripted “message” — it’s pretty clear now that the PUMA/Hillary revolt has taken on a life of its own and is out of his control — he has almost a deer in the headlights look to him — so, if he can’t rein in Hillary or her wayward supporters and bring them to “the light”, what makes him think he can convince the electorate that he can handle Putin, Ahmadinejad and the rest of the bad boys of the ‘hood? Maybe he’s counting on a good scolding by MO to make them behave.
Prediction on her speech. She mentions:
Obama: 5 times
McCain: 8 times
Bush: 20 times
Clinton: 12 times
I was thinking “Gold Dust Woman” just because she’s flakey.
Definitely popcorn time.
Watch the conservatives retreat over the decades. Today’s older conservatives blasted MLK as a communist when he was alive, but now they claim he was a Republican.
Fleetwood Mac (the linked video) were acid dropping hippies destroying not only American culture, but her very civil fabric. Now even geezer conservatives can rock & roll (Huck).
Bottom line: since WWII, American conservatives have contributed nothing to our culture or well being or moral advancement (torture). They are dragged into the future by liberal artists, scientific and engineering elite, and moral leaders (MLK).
Liberals are making America great.

poor ignorant saps that they are.

I find the DNC/Obama camp dissing of the formerly “golden” couple known as the Clintons hysterically funny! Considering how in lock-step the demoncrats were with der Schlieckmeister and Her Thighness during all the Clinton Administration scandals, I never thought I’d see the day when the Party would basically turn it’s collective backs on these two. More proof that lib/socialists loyalties lie only in seizing whatever power they can grab for themselves, by whatever means…
Hey, I did my bit and donated to the PUMAS — no way I want these gals to quit before making the home stretch.
This is much better entertainment than anything showing at the Cineplex this week.
Hey LGM , if I can get you another brain cell will the one you have stop acting so lonely and defective?
Any rumors on who Hillary ‘would’ name as her VP?
P.D.N.F.T.T.
I am not sure whether I should be delighted that Hillar is sabotaging Obama at every turn, or be aghast that such a horrible human being is anywhere near the corridors of power.
Obambi, good luck. You will need it.
Now to sit back and enjoy the show.

I seem to remember we had our own acid dropping hippie around here.
There he is!
I’ll just agree with this statement, but not necessarily the rest. I laugh when I hear conservatives talk about their admiration for anti-war, change advocate, Dr. King.
On the other hand you should add that the Kennedys also feared King was a communist. They had him spied on and had an open FBI file on him. A lot of people seem to be against King, until they are for him. They are for him, when it helps them make some cheap political point.
Come on MJ…you and LGM aren’t in perfect lignment??
alignment
Could be. My first thought was Welsh Witch though.
We’re not. I only agreed with part, and added a critique of the Kennedys.
We agree sometimes, and sometimes we don’t. I’d love to have some drinks with LGM though, and listen to some old records.
1) MLK was a Republican. Just because you blather doesn’t make it less true. Even Jackie Robinson was a Republican. Robinson supported Nixon over Kennedy for example.
2) 70’s rockers came in all flavors. For every Fleetwood Mac you have a Ted Nugent.
3) Artists also come in all flavors. Scientists and engineers are conservative to moderate. I’ve rarely come across liberal scientists or engineers, and I meet scientists and engineers all the time.
To vaguely claim credit for the successes of the United States w/o specific examples is typical liberal hubris.
Here’s how you do it:
Conservatives began the industrial revolution, which raised the standard of living for the majority of American. These successful conservative enteprenuers donated money to found universities, fund libraries, and charities. Without them, liberal schmucks like you would no have place to poison young minds.
The “Hillary” delegate fiasco is another of the carefully orchestrated Demwit PR STUNTS. Hillary wants to be AG or on the Supreme Court, or at the UN. I’m sure she already has assurances of an appointment from the BHO Camp! The DNC is the USA Affiliate of the Socialists Party. In the final analysis, the Dem Political Machine will “join hands and sing Kum Ba Ya” and begin their assault to brainwash us into believing the DNC Platform for big and bigger government, an end to “free speech” (passing the UNFAIR Fairness Doctrine), taxing corps out of the ability to pay workers (which will lead to more lost jobs//wages), cotrolling the population with unfettered tax-paid abortions, (more American kids adversely add to the carbon footprints), etc., is the answer to every issue. The DNC attack dogs are just getting started, and if conservatives sit on their hands, don’t get involved, stop up their ears, and do not support conservative causes with $’s and TIME, then we deserve the nightmare policies that the Obama/Biden ticket will produce. Please help SHUT DOWN HS Pelosi and Sen Harry Reid, and their “strangle-holds” on Congress. Remember that the Dem Political Voting Machine elected a peanut farmer as President as well as many of the other congressional members who have personally financially gained at the expense of the American citizens. WOW! I am angrier than I first thought. My sanity is returning! jb
I am one of those “older conservatives.” I have always felt that to honor Dr. King we needed to see to it that we created an America where people were “judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.”
The problem we have is that when we attempt to realize that dream for Dr. King, the liberals call us racists. People like Clarence Thomas, Condelleza Rice, Colon Powell, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, etc. who have done just that are savaged by the left. I am sure after extolling their love for their country and their patriotism Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will also be pilloried.
So “lgm” who are the racists here?
Better not listen to Fleetwood Mac!!!
What an Idiot thing to say about a band. I never knew they had that kind of power.
Wrong, read your history it was Democrats who had MLK followed and had his phones tapped etc., They were looking for dirt, just in case they needed to use it against him. Democrats in general worried that MLK was getting too powerful.
Now there was the odd Republican that wasn’t down with MLK, but the majority of those against MLK were Democrats.
Read the Black Republicans website as just one source.

Huh? Does this sound more like the end of America’s social fabric, or…
“Have mercy, baby on a poor girl like me,
You know I’m falling, falling, falling at your feet,
I’m tingling right from my head to my toes,
So help me, help me, help me make the feeling go.
‘Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down,
And there’s not another living soul around,
Then you woo me until the sun comes up,
And you say that you love me.”
…Keith Olbermann?
Sorry, Chris Mathews…
Folks, you cannot argue with dumb and/or ignorant people.
Changing the subject, I fully expect fireworks during the convention.
Hillary will not go quietly.
Neither will she wait 4 more years to get her throne!
Sounds like one of LGM’s emails to B. Obama.
Obama’s only taking messages from George Clooney…
The future is being created today by conservative engineers and scientists, who form the majority in both those fields. I work in the engineering field, at an aerospace company. I can count the number of liberals in the engineering and management departments here on one hand, because out of 40 some-odd engineers and physicists at this company, there’s only 1 that votes liberal that I know of. And even HE is planning on voting for McCain rather than Obama.
Isn’t it obvious by now, that he doesn’t read anything that doesn’t fit his narrative?
Correct me if I am wrong (you can’t on any level) but YOU said there is no such thing as the country of America. So, let me fix that for you:

My guess is Hillary wouldn’t be satisfied with just being AG, on SCOTUS, or appointed to the UN. Not after she came so close to being the nominee for the top position.
I would bet that she’ll use her popularity to angle for Senate Majority Leader. She could easily make the case that the people of the party have more confidence in her than Reid or anyone else. Of course, then she wouldn’t be satisfied playing second fiddle to Biden’s President of the Senate. I think she’d much prefer Obama to lose so she could go head to head with a Republican administration for 4 years. It’d be the best way for her to prove that they nominated the wrong person this time around and in 2012 she could graciously give them the opportunity to correct their mistake.
Scientists and engineers are 70% liberal, which may make them conservative compared to English professors (90% liberal). They are the ones driving America forward.
The states of California and New York carry the nation economically.
Rockers around the world agree: Ted Nugent s***s.
JFK didn’t like MLK, Hoover had him followed and bugged. But you can’t say conservatives of the day didn’t call him all the names (communist, traitor, ……) they now bestow on those most hated today.
LGM
I’ve never heard one reference to MLK’s political affiliation. Probably because unlike Obama, he was a real uniter.
I thought the liberal elite were making America better? You mention that below:
Are you trying to tell me that gay marriage and cutting up the unborn and sucking them out with a vacuum and hiding the truth about psychological ramifications are moral? I guess your side of the aisle likes the moral relativism. That way, you stand on your little soapbox and tell God what sin is as opposed to Him telling you what sin is.
Oh wait, I mentioned God. Liberals don’t like doing that because it might offend someone.
How about throwing away ballots from US soldiers in Alabama? Is that moral?
Moral leaders? Many of our priests and pastors, rabbis and imams are CONSERVATIVE.
Scientific and engineering elite? Most of them come from foreign countries because Americans are too lazy and busy watching John Stewart, Jay Leno and football to do math and physics. They think that because they aren’t white male Protestants that everything should be handed to them and the reason why they can’t succeed are because they were repressed or suffer from imaginary illnesses.
Artists? What are they doing for the future? Making movies based on propaganda and lies to get their message across? Yeah, their idealism is so good that they have to lie or cloak it to sell it?
MLK was a uniter, but I don’t think running around a hotel naked in Norway is moral, but then again, we aren’t supposed to criticize African-American activists, are we? Guess I’m just an old-fashioned racist. Oh well.
Maybe now you can see why republicans aren’t embracing him as a conservative?
If we keep electing liberals,
1) The Western EU will be under sharia law, the East will be overrun by Russia, who will be drilling in the Arctic and Antarctica, and probably stealing other resources from Canada and Alaska,
2) China and Cuba will be drilling off the Continental Shelf, and China will have control of the Asian Tigers, Japan, possibly even Hawaii and Marin County, CA where I’m sure some democrats would welcome them with open arms.
3) The great artistic culture that you talk about? By 2100, I can see European cultures wiped off the map and into the fossil record.
4) Lebanese gangs will run Australia.
Liberals are responsible for weakening America and the entire democratic world. They have been doing that since JFK was shot.
Secular, liberal societies FAIL, LGM. Conservative ones prevail. That is why you are seeing a change in global power that will happen this century, and you are too arrogant to even realize it.

The states of California and New York carry the nation economically.
California is being run into the crapper by the phony Republican Governator, and illegals.
New York is a socialist run State with all its programs, handouts, and waste. New York does well when the Finance industry is doing well. Tax revenues are down and deficits are up.
Rockers around the world agree: Ted Nugent s***s.
Do you have a list of Rocker quotes that says Nugent sucks? I’m not a big Nug fan. Some of his stuff is OK. His Damn Yankees stint in the 90’s was decent. And he’s a hell of a guitar player.
JFK didn’t like MLK, Hoover had him followed and bugged.
You cannot lump all conservatives as racists. Its simply not true. However, the majority of politicos that were against MLK were Democrats. Many sources back me up.
I believe Malcolm X would be a republican if he were alive today. However, based on Dr. King’s ideologies, I think he’d be a modern day democrat, or maybe even further to the left. This is all speculation and opinion. Who really knows?
It’s just that since King was against the Vietnam War, and favored government intervention to inact civil rights, today’s conservatives would be against him. I couldn’t imagine the MM’s and Hannity’s of the world championing the forced integration of schools, or telling private business owners who they have to allow into their establishments. I think the 1960s version of the rightwing conservative opposed these ideas. Barry Goldwater is one example. I’m not saying Goldwater was a racist, but he was opposed to the Civil Rights Amendment. He thought it should be left up to the states, and that hopefully the more immoral/racist states would eventually be shamed into doing the right thing. Barry Goldwater was no racist, but many social conservatives were. Back then, there were social conservatives in both parties.
Of course some conservatives and a few liberals were simply racist bigots. If you look at some of that old footage of white people screaming with hatred at students and patrons, I find something very curious. A lot of these disgusting people were, church going, god-fearing “patriotic” Americans, who still found justification for their evil. I think a lot of people today realize that this type of behavior is inherently wrong, and have changed. Others just realize that society has changed, and they feel that they better keep their true feelings more private.
Anyway, back to King:
To paraphrase from the DarkKnight, “He died a hero, and therefore didn’t live long enough to become the villain.”
I don’t think many conservatives would be as glowing in their King praise if he had lived, or if they were around back then.
It too bad that Dr. King and Malcolm X were assassinated.
Malcolm learned so much about other races after his pilgrimage to the holy land. His less radical views led to his own killing him. I think he had so much to offer.
Both men may have experienced some ups and downs publicly in 60’s and 70’s. But I don’t think their greatness would have been tarnished long term. They would have adapted to the times.
I think they’d still be Republicans based on the content of someone’s character being an important criteria to conservatives and less important to liberals.
opposed to the Civil Rights Amendment of 1964.
I am soooooo stealing that for tomorrow’s Scramble.
Which, as I recall, was passed on the strength of Republican votes, Goldwater notwithstanding.
What a maroon. You couldn’t walk the streets of New York before Giuliani came in and cleaned the place up. You still can’t in LA, or most other California cities, especially at night. And the only reason NY seems to have an economy is that a couple of stock markets and several corporate HQs are there. They produce nothing. Virtually all of the industry in upstate NY has been run out by the high taxes and other liberal idiocy coming out of Albany.
Yeah, the elephants passed it by about 80% in both chambers. The democrats were in the 60s, with the numbers skewered slightly lower because of the “dixiecrat” segregationists in the south.
I wonder how today’s post-Reagan conservatives would have voted? I believe they would have been in the 20% against it. I can’t see the modern conservative platform being in support of that bill, or King either for that matter. A lot changed during and after
the Reagan revolution. Speaking and evaluating with full intellectual honesty, I don’t see how the Malkins, Limbaughs and Coulters would support the ACT or MLK. It seems to go against core platform beliefs. I’m not saying they’re all racist, but the ACT doesn’t fit the smaller government, individual rights model of the conservative movement. MLK’s anti-war and pro-government intervention beliefs seem clearly contrary to the rightwing conservative model of today.
If we didn’t have civil rights legislation in the 60’s and the South was still the South, conservatives of the 80’s and today would vote for civil rights legislation.
I see a big difference between MLK, Rev. Sharpton, and Jessie Jackson. MLK was about the cause, Sharpton and Jackson are about themselves. Those two are phonies.
Would MLK always be agreed with by conservative pundits today… no, but he’d be respected.
The 2008 Democra[ic Socialist] Party nomination is not over until Hillary says it’s over.
If she walks away with neither the nomination nor the VP slot, the Fleetwood Mac song Bill Clinton used in 1992 becomes Hillary’s new battle cry for 2012:
Riiight, kapo lgm.
lgm, you sir are a liar, or are willfully ignorant. Engineering is one of the most conservative of all professions, with literally EVERY major study showing a vastly higher percentage of engineers as leaning more in the conservative direction, politically. Scientists tend to be more evenly split, but even that field leans slightly to the right.
Don’t believe everything you read on your socialist sites.
