Seeing Obambi standing on a platform and refusing to pledge his allegiance to America and by extension the government of the Sovereign United States should cause anger in any good American. The media doesn’t seem to care about a man who seems to have as much distain for the U.S. flag but wants to lead the country. Lead the country? Where would someone like that lead this country?
And what does that say about a running mate who can look the other way at sedition and say, “You bet’cha”?
One dictionary defines Treason as:
a) The offense of acting to overthrow one’s government or to harm or kill its sovereign. b) A violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state. c) The betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.
That same dictionary defines Sedition as:
a) Incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government. (Did you catch that: Incitement of discontent) b) Any action, esp. in speech or writing, promoting such discontent or rebellion. c) Rebellious disorder.
Why is it so out of fashion in these times to hold our political leaders (or the wannabes) up to these standards? Why are we so redisent to toss these terms aside and smile condescendingly, or even laugh at someone when they use such a term to describe someone’s action or speech?
Such actions used to be grounds for the death penalty. Would that it were still so. Now, of course, we’re “more civilized” and such people are rewarded with college professorships, or voted in as president. Even when someone is tried on these charges and found guilty, they are only imprisoned for a decade or two when they should be executed for crimes against their country, and putting all their countrymen at greater risk. And most of the time its not even ideological, its for greed, its for a small amount money.
Since the latter part of the nineteenth century in these United States, and with the possible exception of some views of the Spanish American War, all the generations have lived so securely that we have no idea what it is to be in peril of military invasion by a foreign power, and with good reason, that being a strong United States Military. And with the possible exception of a couple of minor incidents during WWII, its certainly safe to say that there is not an American alive today in this country who has a memory of a battle fought against a military invader on our native soil. We only read about it in history books.
America is what it is because real Americans have gone before us and fought for what we believe in, what we stand for, and what we have obtained. Now our leaders (political and corporate) are selling it off, and us out, piece by piece and if it has no obtainable cash value they’re giving it a way for a pledge of future favors.
This post could be considered seditious, I suppose. Maybe against Obambi, but I believe its on the side of the U.S. Constitution. It’s unimaginable that Obambi could say that he stands for the Constitution, at least convincingly enough so others believe him. From what’s been said, or better, what he refuses to say, it seems more like he wants to do away with our constitution in favor of… well, he never says anything substantial, so who knows? We only know he seems to fear our existing Constitution and enjoys the company of anarchists.
Does anyone really believe this guy’s allegiance is to anyone or anything other than himself and his own arbitrary ideas?

Those that worship the political/social systems of the former Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China are really stuck on stupid. Money is tight right now, but I would love to contribute to one way tickets for any of these brave visionaries to live in this type of oppressive society.

The whole premise of Marx’s theory was the Capitalist extracts a ’surplus value’ from the worker and the rules of the game are the relations of production.
The change that Marx originally intended to bring about was revolutionary and the Libs want to to it marginally. How can a revolutionary theory be brought about marginally? It can’t and there a number of reasons for this. First off, the theory of surplus value doesn’t exist.
If the workers are going to won the means of production in a socialist system you’re still going to need managers and leading figure heads; competition is what makes a corporation thrive. If the government decides to step in a run a corporation what you’ll wind up with is a vertically integrated monopoly in the worst case; then the ‘worker’ still gets ripped off.
