Mob scene at the Mint; Update: The trouble begins; riot at Denver City Center, pepper spray comes out
Denver - Well, I’m happy to report that the anti-capitalists failed in their effort to defy gravity and levitate the U.S. Mint. The wizard hat and magic wands weren’t working.
The protest was an abysmal failure — with a crowd of about 20 profit-bashing protesters far out-numbered by press, bloggers, police, horses, and looky-loos. I was able to work unimpeded covering the pathetic showing…until the Truthers showed up for their YouTube moment.
Desperate to salvage the fizzled demonstration, 9/11 nutball Alex Jones started barking at me and attempting to make a scene and incite a riot. I should have brought my spit shield. Ick. Jim Hoft was there, along with my friends from Pajamas Media, and provided volunteer bodyguard services (thanks, guys).

I just watched the video, Michelle. It infuriated the heck out of me. Maybe in the future, you could have some “big” escorts with you, and in their possession a couple of hand-held tasers, and one of those bullhorns with the LOUD sirens (to blare back at the nuts who can’t seem to shut their holes!)
I don’t know Colorado law, but here in California, that clown Jones would have been arrested for assault. He is what we used to refer to as a “scumbag maggot!” What a waste of space…

I talked to a Denver cop a couple of days before the DNC. He said they had found a trailer with tennis balls that had been sliced open and filled with poop. They also found urine water balloons.
What has amazed me is this though that the conservatives are just going to roll over and let Barry do what ever he wants if he gets elected.

Michelle, I watched the Alex Jones video. I’m far from a religious person, but if I were you I’d feel nothing but sympathy and compassion for the guy. He’s quite sick. His demeanor was not “airplane-worthy”. That is, if he acted that way in an airport, no way would they let him board. His demeanor was such it would engender a “fight or flight” response in most people, which means if you were a guy, there’s a good chance you woulda started beating on him, with some justification. Instead you held up your arm halfways to block out the noise and halfways to defend yourself from attack which to any rational person would seem to be imminent. He seemed to personify everything he hated. Nazi guard plus slavemaster plus communist reeducation camp instructor (maybe he identifies with that last one?!) all rolled into one. Demeaned you, dehumanized you, directed pure hate towards you, doing all those things he’s supposedly against. “She wants to throw people in jail! She should be thrown in jail!”. Narcissistic projection, typical of the extreme left. Again, I can’t help but feel sorry for him. Of course I wasn’t there so didn’t have to withstand his violent, offensive, continuous, loud screaming and stalking. But after awhile you might find it in your heart to see how sick the poor guy really is.
So THAT is Alex Jones? I googled him, he’s only in his early-to-mid 30s? Wow. Dude looks AWFUL.

Looks like The Truthers ended up doing what Jerry Rivers wanted to. Sorry you had to be drenched in such foulness. But hey, at least it disproved the “So filled with bile that he spits acid” theory I had. thank God for that.
I guess they just didn’t bring enough magic with them. or maybe they didn’t sing loud enough, dance hard enough, or just plain want it bad enough.
But Michelle, i gotta know; were any of them actually visibly disappointed that it did not work? I mean, were any of these bozos (My apologies to the real Bozo and his memory), actually convinced that they were going to levitate this building to the point that they demonstrated real disappointment or depression that it failed?
Were they not claiming that there were going to be THOUSANDS that were to be there for this feat of magic? What happened? did they get lost? Did they get splinched while diapperating to the scene? Maybe Snape kept them after potions class and they just plain missed it, or they did not want to upset the Ministry of Magic by performing feats of such large magic in front of so many Muggles.
One more question: What in the heck were the Truthers doing showing up for the levitation event? Were they there to actually try to participate? Or did they think that it was their best chance at grabbing some camera time?
I, personally, feel they were probably going to join in, since their theories on 9-11 are just as sound, reasonable and believable as the theory that if you get enough people spread out around The Denver mint or The Pentagon, sing loud enough, dance hard enough and believe strong enough, you can raise it up, shake all the money out and solve the poverty problem in the U.S. all in one fell swoop.
Yup…he and they are definately doing wonders for their cause. God help anyone who believes in that filth should they ever cross paths with me.
OMG!!!! I just saw the video of Alex Jones screaming and yelling at Michelle, chasing her down, threatening her, and basically just losing all semblance of sanity. Also, he had no problem plugging his own site. The look in his eyes and on his face I have only seen on patients who had based to much and had completely lost their sanity. He was so filled with hatred, I wanted to leap through my screen and just beat the crap out of him.
My open statement to Alex Jones:
Does it make you feel like a big man to be yelling and screaming at a woman? Do YOU support violence against women? For one screaming about what you were screaming about, you sure seem to have no issues what-so-ever in supporting and condoning violence, especially against a woman who is not much taller than half of you.
You Liberals are nothing more than thugs. You are hypocrite, liars, biggots and thugs. This a**hole is a prime example of every damn last one of you. Alex Jones is a crude, loud-mouthed, misogynistic bully. He stalked you, menaced you, and verbally assaulted you. What adds insult to injury is the manner in which the MSM reported the incident. It reminds me of that scene from “Beverly Hills Cop” where Axel Foley gets thrown out of a window by a group of thugs. As the cops are arresting him for disturbing the peace, Axel cries out, “Disturbing the peace? I got thrown out of a window! What’s the f—in’ charge for getting pushed out of a moving car, huh? Jaywalking?” Apparently, Michelle, at least according to the MSM, you were jaywalking.

I see that whatever lessons of chivalry given to Alex Jones by his mother didn’t take. Along those lines, I suppose that the lessons of logic and reasoning in Jones’ philosophy 101 class, specifically the lesson on how fallacies of relevance, or any fallacy for that matter, detract from one’s argument vice enhancing it, didn’t take either.
The guys did the right thing by standing between Jones and Mrs. Malkin. The folks with the cameras were just itching for someone to start a physical fight. I’m impressed with how Mrs. Malkin and her friends stayed calm during this. Offering him a Tic-Tac or mint would have been good.
Glad some fellow sane bloggers were there to offer their protection, Michelle. While I enjoy reading your in-depth coverage, I do worry for your safety around these nutcases. You’re a brave, determined woman…hats off to you!

However I have spoken personally with the forensic engineer at ground zero; he was responsible for designating go, no-go areas. I perused the the truss work in question (in the guy’s compendium) that caused that collapse and significant increase in steel temp in conjunction with loadings created a plastic moment, then buckling, then collapse.

Well said, Soap. I am usually slow to anger and there are very few things that can quickly make me mad enough to punch somebody out; but what I saw in that video is one of them.
I went to a lot of the “peace and love” protests during the 60s. The candlelight march on DC, the 4th of July rally at the Washington Monument, and many others. The only thing I never saw was peace or love. Hasn’t changed at all. I fear for Michelle and pray she stays well. After my observations from the 60s, I’ve never trusted those unhinged moonbats.

After viewing the videos at Gateway Pundit and at Alex Jone’s site, my blood pressure was running 196/124 and pulse rate was about 120 bpm. Definitely “flight or fight” response - and I wasn’t anywhere NEAR Denver.
Jones needs to be HEAVILY sedated, put in a straight-jacket, and placed under 24 hour watch. That’s the kindest thing that I can say about him.
As for the rest of us, we ALL need to make certain that we are heavily armed. The semi-automatic shotgun that someone suggested yesterday (as a home defense weapon) would seem to “fit the bill.” Thanks for the link.
