Obama’s selection of Biden proves it’s all ball bearings these days

By see-dubya  •  August 25, 2008 11:56 PM

So here’s the thing about Joe Biden:

I just can’t look at him or hear him speak without thinking of every character Chevy Chase has ever played. Every venal, vain, fast-talking, stumbling, glad-handling white-bread schmoe, from Clark W. Griswold to Dusty Bottoms to Emmett Fitz-Hume, spring unavoidably to mind.

Above: VP Biden delivers a press conference.

Chase’s impressions of Gerald Ford, mocking him for his supposed clumsiness, dogged Ford’s administration. But now Joe Biden’s candidacy is going to be dogged by the inescapable fact that he’s just going around doing one big non-stop Chevy Chase impression. The hair plugs, the weird sexist remarks, the awkward racial gaffes…and then there’s the utterly bizarre stuff like this:

At the Tuesday-morning meeting with committee staffers, Biden launches into a stream-of-consciousness monologue about what his committee should be doing, before he finally admits the obvious: “I’m groping here.” Then he hits on an idea: America needs to show the Arab world that we’re not bent on its destruction. “Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran,” Biden declares. He surveys the table with raised eyebrows, a How do ya like that? look on his face.

That’s pure Griswold, is what that is.

P.S. Biden’s deficit reduction plan: “Give each other twenty dollars. Put it on Underhill.”

How did we end up with 3 possibly 4 of four candidates being Senators? What is the approval rating for the Senate? would you say most Americans are pleased with senate progress? Either one of these teams will be bringing their senate or former senate buddies along with them. Imagine that circus if you dare. That’s why I say McCain must pick someone other than a Senator to distinguish himself from his opponents, the senate ticket.

Biden just doesn’t make any sense for VP. He has failed at running for president. But what is really disturbing is he actually has more experience than Barack. Shouldn’t the ticket be switched around? These liberals really have lost it. Its all about Barack because he “feels good, there’s so much feeling of hope”. GIVE ME A BREAK! I do not think this is the winning ticket. I also think the dems have more division with the Hillary supporters than the media is letting us know.

The only thing I ever have agreed with Bill Clinton on was when he said “THIS THING IS THE BIGGEST FAIRYTALE” I couldn’t of said it better.

There’s a manner of speech where the words are just window dressing, what’s communicated is confidence, a rhythm, a cadence, almost like a song, the intent of which is to hypnotize the listener. It’s just the kind of thing a con man will do. It’s his “rap”. Most of the time the rap is essentially meaningless. The intent of the rap is not to communicate information but to hypnotize the listener, to rock them into a passive state, to lull them into what feels like a safe, comfortable place. This is Biden. Fast talking BSer. What he means to communicate is “Listen to the sound of my voice. Nice, huh? Never fear, I am here. I’m accomplished, confident, in control, you can trust me. Whatever I say, trust me, you can tell by the sound of my voice and my rat a tat tat sequences of words I know what I’m doing, I’m in control”.

All The golden Calf did after listening to his 300 adviser and choosing Biden was to demonstrate to the entire world that he is about as nervous as a tree in a Lassie movie that he is going to get whooped like a rented mule in the election, losing miserably.

You know, watching him fall from grace reminds me very much of Howard Dean.

4 years ago, the MSM had all but swore Dean into the Presidency before the Primaries even began. All their reports were telling everyone how he was so popular, he was the guy to beat, he basically just had to go through the motions and the Presidency was his for the taking. All of a sudden, the Primaries opened and Dean was basically shut out, dropping out of the race so fast it was like he was never there, were it not for the scream.

Well, here we have The Golden Calf. Same situation, just taking a bit longer. The MSM had inaugurated him to the Presidency months ago, claiming that there was no way he could lose. Now, here it is just over three months to go until the election, and he is losing ground faster than a Southern California cliff in a rain shower. At the rate of his decent, he will be lucky to carry three states come November. Every day seems to bring one more story as to why this guy is the most Marxist thing to come down the pike since McCarthy’s days, and that he has far too many questionable people in his present, let alone his past, to where they can no longer be ignored and shrugged off.

So while he thought that choosing Biden would give him some street cred, he does nothing but show that he doesn’t even pay attention to the goings on in his own party, let alone the world, If he did, he would have known that the only way he could have picked someone who was worse at sticking their foot in their mouth would havce been to have chosen Kennedy. Biden basically took the least amount of votes in TWO election prelims, and is clearly the person the Dems DID NOT want, as well as spending his entire tenure making statements that would guarantee him never sitting in the Oval Office for the next 5 lifetimes.

Yup…he is scarred, and still proving that he is incapable of making sound, rational and correct decisions, especially when it comes with people to be associated with.

There should be a youtube video running of the CSpan footage of Biden back in 1987 in New Hampshire having a Howard Beale like breakdown. He is screaming at a guy named Frank, even shouting “I have a lot higher IQ than you do Frank”. Biden then lied and said to Frank that he (Biden) finished in the top half of his law school class (that is not a lot to brag about, even if true). In fact, Biden was such a lousy student in law school that he finished 76 out of 85 students, bottom 10 percent. And I recall, in 1987 there were lots of reports even in the MSM that Biden got caught plaigirizing a term paper or a moot court brief and was suspended from the law school. He was apparently marked for expulsion but whined to make it only a suspension. And the Dukakis campaign produced a video tape showing Biden ripping off Neil Kinnock’s words and much worse Neil Kinnock’s biography. Biden managed to get the press over the years to say that Biden only borrowed words. But he stole Kinnock’s biography and lied that he (Biden) came from a family of coal miners. In fact, there has never been a coal miner in the Biden family. Biden’s adoring lapdogs in the MSM, led by David Brooks of the New York Times, have been writing about Biden as if he born in a log cabin and studied by candlelight.
