Bill Clinton twists the knife…
…in Barack’s back.
Yowch. Chicago thug mafia, meet Arkansas thug mafia. Long live Democrat party unity! The soap opera continues:
Bill Clinton appeared to undermine Sen. Barack Obama again Tuesday.
The former president, speaking in Denver, posed a hypothetical question in which he seemed to suggest that that the Democratic Party was making a mistake in choosing Obama as its presidential nominee.
He said: “Suppose you’re a voter, and you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?”
Then, perhaps mindful of how his off-the-cuff remarks might be taken, Clinton added after a pause: “This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.”

Delicious!…. Simply delicious!
Bwa Hahahahaha
Rubs hand together with glee.
I love it!
Of course he was speaking “hypothetically”.
This “unity” thing is really gaining momentum, isn’t it?
Foot in mouth disease must be contagious.
Just ask Biden.
big woop
Ouch!
Obama had to have felt that one.
Aahh huh - they’re all about unity! All for one and one for all..yep…
Who wouldn’t like watching them crash and burn..they can’t help themselves.
Oh, what could have Bubba possibly have meant?
The PUMA people really did have it right.
Party Unity My A**
It appears that Mr. Obama has just arrived at the gunfight with a knife.
Go Bubba. SWEET!
If X & Y are chromosomes, did Willy just say his wife couldn’t deliver anything?
How can you tell Bill Clinton is about to stab you in the back?
When he’s being nice to you.
Sounds as if Operation Chaos is still going on.
Thanks for your input.
McCain speech: POWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOW
Guiliani speech: 911911911911911911911911911911911911911
Why do you sentimentalist get tricked so easily by slogans?
Oh, yeah, not like
Hope n change Hope n change Hope n change Hope n Change Hope n change
Racist racist racist racist racist racist
and let’s not forget,
“we have a planet to save.
Would anyone really be surprised if a big brawl broke out at the convention? God, I’d love to see that. Would make my day.
.
Oh that Bill, always the peacemaker.
YTZGal beat me to it, but that sounds like projection to me.
Rookie meets Pro…
Yes, yes… Stir the pot, Billy Boy. Stir the pot.
i never could have imagined a scenario in which i would enjoy the clintons oh so much.
scooter
you’re intellectual acumen is simply underwhelming… you should be proud… you’ve equated yourself with planaria
don’t go making mountains out of molehiles MrCheryl…
re nero’s comment.
These are not slogans but deeds. McCain is remmembered for his actions as a POW. Guliani for his actions during 9/11. What is Barry 0 known for? What has he ever done of any consequence? Supported a school that was renamed in his honor? Maybe he helped his destitute brother? Barry 0 has no accomplishments, and only empty slogans.
I can’t wait until his speech. I never thought I’d say that in my lifetime.
Sucker bet…
It’s all about his precious legacy.
For the first time in my adult life… I’m proud of Bill Clinton! You go Bubba! LOL
Bill Clinton is maniacal. No wonder Obama dissed the two. Who wants to put up with his garbage and his nagging wife.
Yeah, Bill. But it’s real hard to get the dog doo off your shoe after you’ve stepped in it…
two words … hope, change
lol - huh?
Same words Jesse Jackson used in 1984.
I just hope the Clinton’s maintain enough of a patina of support that the DNC goes through with the nomination of dumb & dumber.
I *really* wouldn’t want McCain to have to face the Clinton’s and “any generic veep” in November.
Don’t worry about me, I love my country more than I hate John McCain.
McCain/Steele 2008
actually vinny, obama is known for being extremely adept at throwing people under the bus.
Small edit there - I think he’d have a tough time getting Bill under a bus…:)
I think that could be a very smart choice. I really like Michael Steele.
Do you ever have anything productive to contribute to a thread?
Why would Bill support an Obama victory? If The One wins then Hillary will never get a shot at POTUS. With the O defeated and many Dems now beginning to realize that Hillary was in fact a stronger candidate than Obambi, Hillary will be able to make a comeback in 2012. The Clintons WANT Obama to lose. Count on it.
Et tu, Bubba?
For OBAMA…glad to see you have made your first legit comment. Congrads!
Never count the clintons out. Even if they are dead you had better put a stake through thier hearts.
I really think Obama was smart to not nominate Hillary because she would have him killed in a heartbeat if she thought she could be president.
I think Clinton just gave McCain his rally cry to carry the left.
It’s subtle (well maybe not so) but Bill is telling his wife’s supporters it’s OK to vote for McCain.
Must be hard not having power.
bill is really fried he won’t be back in the white house mentoring interns. whenever you see him start pointing that finger, you know he’s miffed.
Yeah, but the question is are they smart enough to pick up on it?
Good for you, Billy! Brilliant!
I can’t believe I said that. They’ll be coming soon to take me back to the Home.
The DNC is more fun to watch than any sitcom. They just can’t help themselves.
Crash and burn!
We wondered how the Clinton’s resentment would leak out during the dem convention, a little bit at a time, in drips and drabs. The answer: like a tsunami. Let it rain down in buckets.
Oh the drama … this week is going to be more fun than I thought. First you have the principals - Obama, Biden, speakers, etc., then you have the disgruntled Hillary supporters (Bill included), then you have the
lunaticsprotestors outside, then you have the lefty pundits spinning like mad. Oh, and of course, the media, where they don’t fit in one of the above categories. All peddling utopia, for the small price of higher taxes, a weakened economy and ultimately the erosion of the freedoms the libs pretend to want to protect. No, it has to do with 2012, for those of you who don’t know that Hillary is already running.
And these are the people that are supposed to be developing and implementing the strategies that will maintain long term security and prosperity for the United States of America. Time to build a bunker. The end is near.
That little picture of Bill Clinton made me nostalgic…
I remember the awesome “Vent” that Michelle did in response to that Clinton interview.
That was my first time (posting on HotAir).
This is a related post that Michelle did here…
it’s good to refresh your memory…
ClintonRage: The morning after
I have never agreed with Bill Clinton on anything until he said “THIS IS THE BIGGEST FAIRYTALE I’VE EVER SEEN”.
Can’t wait to see how the fairytale unfolds these next few days at the convention and next few months! Let the story begin…..
What waking nightmares these Democrat Ex-Presidents are; from Jimmah, to Billy-Jeff to algore, does it never occur to them that they should just shut up and try to fade away with some dignity?
Bill is seeing all those wonderful interns just slip through his fingers as life in the White House becomes a distant memory.
Hillary’s 2008 Presidential Game Plan
all i am seeing on the news is about the dissenters to Obamitler, stating that he has to unite the party not Hillary. It isn’t her job, she didn’t win the nomination. Wow, this is getting delicious. They are right, you know, for Obama to tell Hillary to get her people to line up after him when it is his job. Just goes to the show that he still cannot close the ‘deal’. In sales, you recognize those that can bait for the sale, but you gotta have the one there to close the deal. Obamitler is jut the baiter he cannot close the deal.
Look if he can’t unite his own party, how is it he can unite the country? Is this how he reaches across the eisle in bi-partisanship? He’ll tell the Dem leadership in house and senate to make them line up after him, cause we can see that he sure can’t do it..
Go Billy.. fight.. fight.. fight. Can’t wait till Biden gets into the fray… LOL>>>
Bill’s just setting the stage for Hillary-2012, by ensuring Obama-Biden 08 goes down in flames as incompetent and party splitters.
This allows Hill and Bill to collect a ton of scalps in 2009-2010, and flush the Obama acolytes out of the Dem Party or firmly cement them to the Clinton machine. This means Hillary will have the victim card in the 2012 primaries, and no real opposition.
All it takes is for the Clintons to luke-warm “support” Obama publicly, and have their “people” cripple him privately.
The big blow will come when Hillary gets her people to turn off the money spigots. Obama has opted out of public funding, meaning if Hillary dries up his cash, he will run out. So Hillary gets working immediately (via Bill and others) on the high rollers to remind them there will be hell to pay if Obama loses, and that she will hold it against people who supported him over her, when she runs in 2012. Combine that with Fear Uncertainty and Doubt they can spread, and all of a sudden Obama is hurting.
The Clintons then say ff someone wants to be on the “inside” in 2012, they need to only step back now in 2008. Just do nothing. That and indirectly telling her contributors to opt out of donating to Obama in the general.
This puts her in the Demparty as the victim of Obama idiocy, victim of the MSM, victim of male prejudice, and victim of the “system”. And she will be running against what will probably be a very weak McCain, who will be the oldest man to ever stand for election, after having weahtered what is likely to be a recession more war, and a new cold war against Russia, immigration mess, and more terrorism and crap in Pakistan.
All in all, its the smartest and best route Hillary has to the White House - the victim card, all the funding, and the party united behind her against a failing incumbent in 2012 assuming she can slip the shiv into Obama now.
So no surprise Bill is saying what he is saying. Its the start of the FUD campaign against Obama from the inside, soon to be accompanies by the covert/tacit funding supply clampdown.
Ahhhhh I see “The First Black President” is coming back to haunt those that annoited him so?
Or has Billy Jeff been talkin wit da Rev Jackson agin?
I absolutely LOVE watching the Dems imploding. I’ve waited a long time to see it. Especially the downfall of the Clintons.
But unfortunately the Reps are imploding too. Just waiting for the revolution…
The popcorn jar is going down fast in my house.
Navywife91 you may be on to something there.

McCain/Steele 2008
Just this once Slick Willy has analyzed it correctly… b. Hussein won’t be able to get anything done. McCain will… and it will be the Democrap plan.
McCain/Steele? I like Steele and only wish he’d had a higher profile leading up to the primary vote. Heck, looking back on the early debates, he’s already ahead in my book by not having participated. They all ended up looking worse than when they went into it.
As far as our Hill/Bill, I’m thinking she will aid and abet the election of McCain. She doesn’t have time to run again in 8 years, but 4 is possible. Billy sounding just a tad cheeky is part of the plan. Besides, in 8 years he’ll be in no shape to chase interns or anything else wearing a skirt.
Jimmah Carter refers to Obama as ‘this black boy’.

I know, I know, off topic.
Up here in northern Idaho we call it bear scat.
And I’m sure you weren’t at all a big Clinton supporter back in the ’90s

Echoing #19 — whoever would’ve thought the Clintons would make themselves useful?
Dollar says Clinton goes off Script when he delivers his speech.
Yo, Willy. Go Razorbacks, Eh?
I saw Clinton ditch the knife in Obama’s back, but there’s trace blood evidence in his finger nails. LOL!
Ha! That was funny, BJ.
That would be great. The general voter does not know who Michael Steele is, though. It would look like an attempt at pandering for the black vote.
I was hoping Obama would pick this guy as VP…
Mr Suks Minhas MD FRCS is a Consultant Urologist and Andrologist.
the ticket would be..
Obama/Suks
and the N and H are silent.
I’m just waiting for the big news bomb I think Billary will drop on the Clean and Jerk ticket. Something bad enough to get her clinched as the nonminee. Eeww. I used Hillary and clinched in the same sentence!! Eeww!!
Ordinary Coloradan, you are for the most part right. Except: McCain is a 1 term president, if he is elected. That means that his VP will be the next 2012 Candidate for POTUS. That is who Hillary will be running against in 2012. I would suggest, that will be Romney and Romney should pick Steele as his VP in 2012.
That is what I see coming down the road, if Obamitler loses and McCain wins. If Obamitler wins, it is still a one term Presidency, as he will be the next Jimmah Caaawwter..
Of course, we are still suffering from the impact of that one term presidency, now aren’t we?
Bill’s at his best when he’s a complete ass. Sick ‘em
AJ, I had to read that out loud here at my desk to get it. It was worth the embarrassment.
Clinton will offer luke warm support for Obama while focusing on his own stint as POTUS and Hillary’s accomplishments. No matter how much he wants Obama to lose he cannot be obvious about it.
He and Hillary need Obama’s supporters to get into the White House in 4 years.
Left-wingers are incapable of conspiring because they are all egomaniacs.
– Norman Mailer
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Man, that made my day.
Bill Clinton is mad for another term in the White House. I hardly believe his off-the-cuff is anything of the sort. He has every intention of paving the sidewalk with nObama for Hillary to walk over if he can.
Clinton reminds me of the old saying, “He will pat you on the back and pee in your boot.”
“This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.” That all depends on what the meaning of is is.
Hey Obama! The knife ain’t so bad. It could have been worse. You coulda got the cigar!
Yikes! That’s gonna leave a mark!
Barak sees himself as Superman, but Bill as “Klintonite”.
No wonder he didn’t choose Hillarious for VP.
I’ve seen a few comments on this thread about Steele. I live in Maryland, and voted for him in his (unfortunately unsuccessful) bid for Senate. Instead, we got Cardin, who has vowed to continue to eradicate God from public life. I’ve met Cardin in person, and he really gives me the creeps. Wish Steele was in the Senate to get more national exposure. I know he’s a commentator on Fox these days, good choice for Fox.
Anyone notice before President Clinton spoke all the flag waving going on? Even Hillary and Chelsea were waving flags, but in all the shots I saw scanning 3 different networks there was one person in the crowd who I didn’t see have a flag or wave it on TV and that was Michelle Obama.
best line ever
“This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.”
