McCain just aired an ad saying he did a good job. I thought that was extremely classy of him. THAT’s one of the things we need in a President.. Class, & Humility..
Some others commented on the ad earlier in this thread and weren’t very happy. I don’t necessarily have an issue with it. I agree it was very classy and maybe had a little strategy behind it.
Why do they keep saying that nobody could attract a crowd as big as Obama did? MANY other ROCKSTARS have done it…
Dan Lee …
BO “READS” a good speech from the teleprompter …
He has yet to “GIVE” a good speech on his own …
I, too, thought McCains ad tonight was great.
Makes BO look small for attacking McCain.
I think the ad was good, because Obama’s arrogance & lack of humility is what will eventually be his undoing..
What was that, Brit?????
Karl Rove disputed some of the items in the speech, thank goodness.
Going to bed – I can’t stand anymore of this I am the messiah – I am the one – I can do no wrong —BS
If it was that easy it would have already been done.
I thought the crowd was unaturally enraptured with the lame spots in his speech. Has anyone checked the back of BHO’s head for a 666?
I agree DesertLover.. Shut off the teleprompter & BO IS just a car salesman!
I turned it off. I am now watching “Planet Earth” on Blu-Ray with the kids. Far better and at least i know it is real.
Oh that was nice.. They cut off the reading of the McCain campiagn’s response to the speech, to go over to replays of the speech!!
Oh No, but the media isn’t in the tank for Obama.. NOoooo.. Not at all..
I’m wondering when exactly we’ll get accurate numbers on attendance. I’ve heard there were 55,000 tickets given out. Then I heard 70,000, 75,000 and now Greta said 85,000 were in attendance.
That was on Fox too..
The strategic genius of the ad is that it put McCain out there and on people’s minds in a way that didn’t step on Obama’s big day.

Sorry … had to fix that for you …
I just heard a part of the speech about how people have cars and credit cards they can’t afford and how it’s not always the fault of the govt, but Bush didn’t respond, so it’s his fault? WTF????????
Tomorrow the Barack campaign will put out a number greater than the stadium’s capacity, after they count the flies in the trash barrels, & the birds that were on the balconies..
All the things Barack mentioned as adversities were things I faced growing up, & I overcame all of them ON MY OWN..
He really makes me ill.. He talks as if doing anything on your own is a bad thing..
IMHO, liberals know that if you can handle things yourself, you won’t need them.
I am with you…..and my brothers did even a better job than I. We were dirt poor – brother had a paper route at age 14 so we could buy groceries! He now owns a business he started all by himself! NO government aid. Not an ounce!
Also, we all put (or in my case are putting) our kids through college with NO government help. Don’t qualify……
and never will…..
Ah, but when we get to his lovely tax breaks….well, won’t see those!
good night all…..
all i can say – glad this part if over.
On to St. Paul….
Yes, & people like your brother, & those of us who believe in making our own way as long as we are healthy & able bodied, are the kind of people who keep this nation running.
I’m not against helping people who are truly sick, & cannot work, but we all know that welfare programs have been abused to buy votes.
The Democrats have made an art out of using the money of honest people, to buy the votes of the lazy ones..
Fox is leaking (without actually leaking it) That Romney is the VP choice..
I think I expected that..
It’s a smart choice..
To clarify, they are saying that it’s been confirmed that Romney is headed to Dayton tomorrow..
Not much other reason why he’d be there..
I’m positive it’s Romney..
What they’re saying is that Mitt will be in Dayton, Ohio tomorrow and Huck will not. We still can’t rule out Pawlenty.
Why else would Mitt Romney go to Dayton tommorow though?
Dan Lee said:
From what I’ve heard on Fox tonight, there are several Republicans that are apparently going to be with McCain tomorrow when he makes his pick. They understand that to mean that it will be a display of party unity, that they all side with McCain and his VP.
Romney has a flight, but Pawlenty cleared his schedule for tomorrow. I thought they said Huckabee was going to be there, too.
Sounds like it could be anyone. I think I’d prefer Romney over Pawlenty. Pawlenty looks like he doesn’t have any fire in the belly.
The talking heads emote how great it is that a mulatto has been nominated for POTUS, citing it as a symbol of overcoming racism when, in fact, is racism and reverse racism run rampant.
The ironic thing is: Obama is an empty shell, has accomplished nothing and spouts platitudes and promises that, hopefully, he cannot deliver. A caucasian with his lack of credentials would not get a second look.
Too many blacks support him unquestionly because of his race and intimidated liberals support him out of political correctness.
It is mind boggling that presumably rational people cannot recognize a Matxist and perceive him as intelligent, articulate and charismatic, even as he repeatedly stammers out cliches and reveals his ignorance of things large and small.
God, deliver this nation from this disaster.
Its been confirmed that Huckabee won’t be there. He sent an email to his supporters saying he wouldn’t be tonight..
I think I’m going to stick with my Romney prediction..
Because of the old addage:
“It’s the economy stupid”

…and clean.
Dan Lee said:
Thankfully, I don’t think Huckabee ever had a real shot at the VP slot. I don’t think McCain appreciated the Huckster staying in the race as long as he did.
Biden thinks Barack is very clean, & articulate ect..
I bet Hitler was clean, & articulate too..
Seriously, my gut tells me McCain picked Romney.. I can’t prove it, but it makes the most sense..
Evangelicals (to my confusion as a Christian) went blindly running to HuckaBS, but now I think they are pretty willing to accept that Romney is not cut from the same cloth as a Joseph Smith (Mormon founder)
He’s a speaker who can rival Obama, & make Biden sound like an overzealous insurance salesman.
As someone who lived under a Romney Governorship, I can personally attest that he made mostly good decisions with the Massachusetts economy while he was Governor.
Dan Lee, I am going to bed praying you are right about Romney.
Good night all non-trolls.
“The One” needs a Preacher podium, not the Presidential podium.
Smile.
Don’t be ridiculous, mistressjustice. This was the best convention speech ever.
It will be Pawlenty, not Romney.
Either way, Obama’s speech tonight was dreadful. He is an empty suit lacking anything remotely resembling substance.
Pathetic.
Respectfully,
eric aka the Tygrrrr Express
Is the Obam-a-rama drama over?
Thank goodness I missed it all!
It’s really an affront to MLK to have Obama speak on his greatest speech aniversary. Anyone who knows MLK also knows that King would never support Obama, nor would Obama ever support King. The 2 were very apart politically. It’s a shame that King is being used by the left to support their own political campaigns and agenda. King said “character over skin”. These people want “skin over character”.
I slept through my wake up call too.
blacktygrrrr said:
Pawlenty said he was happy to be considered.
Looks like Romney and Pawlenty are both out.
If it’s Palin, I’m curious about your thoughts, Michelle.
Exactly.
Obama is the antithesis of MLKJr.’s dream.
Obama is a socialist, plain and simple.
Lets hope that McCain picks Pallin and wins the election. She is a breath of fresh air for our Republican Party.
