McCain camp wants your attention
Update: Yawn.
So, Team McCain is trying to steal some of Barackopolis’s buzz tonight with an EXCITING AND UNPRECEDENTED NEW AD! I guess I’m supposed to be swooning about this e-mail just in from the McCain camp, but with the capitulationist/McCain-ized GOP platform still burning my eyes and the Obama thug tactics on my front burner, this is just not putting a thrill up my leg. How about yours?
Ho-hum:
All: Please be on the lookout for an exciting and unprecedented new McCain ad we’ll release later today. Please see Communications Director Jill Hazelbaker talk about it this morning on “Morning Joe”:
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Apparently the McCain campaign has an ad rolling out tonight. What’s it about?
JILL HAZELBAKER: Well, Mika, this is a historic ad. I think this is the first of its kind. Senator McCain is going to speak direct to camera to Barack Obama. I’m not going to give away many more details than that. But suffice to say it’s going to be a very exciting ad, and I think it’s going to get a lot of attention.
…
BRZEZINSKI: Jill, you’ve got to give us more on this ad. He’s speaking directly to camera, John McCain is to Barack Obama. If you say there’s news here, what’s the news?
HAZELBAKER: Well, I’m going to keep a lid on it. But I think it’s newsworthy to note that Senator McCain is going to have an ad that’s going to air in battleground states around the time that Senator Obama is speaking tonight. And he’s going to be talking directly to his opponent. So, I’m going to leave it there, but it’s going be very exciting and a lot of people are going to focus on it.
Eh.

Good Night all.
There is something seriously wrong here.
I count over 45 comments here by one commentor in the span of 8 hours.
Who in their right mind would be on this blog for a straight 8 hours?
I don’t want to single anyone out - because the same appears true for several others.
Do you guys just work for Michelle? - trying to make the number of comments appear higher than what they actually are?
I can understand having maybe 2 or 3 comments per post - but 45?!
As for the subject of Michelle’s post - which nobody is really staying on topic with -they have shown the ad - and I for one think it’s good - has anybody else seen it?
How about counting the logs in your eye before you try to cast the mote out of anothers.. go protest an abortion clinic or something… that might make you really feel holy.

And that will leave you with Obama.
OK,
1)He already has changed his position on immigration. He has promised an enforcement first approach with the key provision that:
“Governors of border states will be required to certify that the border is secure.” Before he will bring up “comprehensive immigration reform” again.
A) That gives pro enforcement people time to get ourselves organized to fight this thing in a meaningful way.
B) It also gives law enforcement time to continue deporting.
C) It also gives us a way of further delaying the process by working on border state governors to not sign off until the next step, a sane, tough and smart reform package is ready to go through congress that will allow assets to immigrate but keep out parasites and criminals.
2) We are a couple of months away from the election. The die is cast at this point, what you see is what you are going to get until after November. It is past time to get off the fence, indeed, this is just doing damage to the causes you wish to advance.
I believe he can be made to come around after the election. If I am wrong, I also believe that we can have an effect in congress and by perusing the above strategies if we get organized and push for enforcement. If I am wrong about that as well then we have at least bought ourselves time to let law enforcement get more out in the few places they are actually doing it.
If I am wrong on all of the above, on immigration we will be in the same exact spot that we will be if we elect Obama who will sign open borders legislation as soon as it hits his desk. So on this issue there is nothing to lose and the potential to gain ground regarding immigration.
Then we have all the other issues. The war, drilling, socialism, surrendering our sovereignty that people have died to protect, confiscation of private property, guns, abortion, Our national debt, government spending, on and on and on that Obama is on the far side of wrong on.
Nothing to lose, the possibility of something to gain. It is a no brainier to support McCain as I see it, even on immigration.

I just watched it. Looks good. Makes him look magnanimous. Chances are the Obama camp wont try to have it censored.
I’ll give you this Bill, You’re a true believer. That is not an insult, hell, sometimes I wish I had your faith in McCain & the gop, I just don’t.
Regarding the tragedy in #199, notice it says only three dead. The driver was pregnant….doesn’t that make it 4 dead? Typical of the left MSM to leave that out…..
McCain is not my favorite pick either, but we can’t afford to have Obama in the White House.. He made good on picking a real Conservative in Palin.
It;s time to get behind him. The party must now unite, or we will self destruct our country at the hands of “Mr.O”..
Could it be that somebody is on vacation and has the time to sit at the computer to debate with friends?
So count this as post 46 day 2.
