McCain camp wants your attention
Update: Yawn.
So, Team McCain is trying to steal some of Barackopolis’s buzz tonight with an EXCITING AND UNPRECEDENTED NEW AD! I guess I’m supposed to be swooning about this e-mail just in from the McCain camp, but with the capitulationist/McCain-ized GOP platform still burning my eyes and the Obama thug tactics on my front burner, this is just not putting a thrill up my leg. How about yours?
Ho-hum:
All: Please be on the lookout for an exciting and unprecedented new McCain ad we’ll release later today. Please see Communications Director Jill Hazelbaker talk about it this morning on “Morning Joe”:
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Apparently the McCain campaign has an ad rolling out tonight. What’s it about?
JILL HAZELBAKER: Well, Mika, this is a historic ad. I think this is the first of its kind. Senator McCain is going to speak direct to camera to Barack Obama. I’m not going to give away many more details than that. But suffice to say it’s going to be a very exciting ad, and I think it’s going to get a lot of attention.
…
BRZEZINSKI: Jill, you’ve got to give us more on this ad. He’s speaking directly to camera, John McCain is to Barack Obama. If you say there’s news here, what’s the news?
HAZELBAKER: Well, I’m going to keep a lid on it. But I think it’s newsworthy to note that Senator McCain is going to have an ad that’s going to air in battleground states around the time that Senator Obama is speaking tonight. And he’s going to be talking directly to his opponent. So, I’m going to leave it there, but it’s going be very exciting and a lot of people are going to focus on it.
Eh.

This has turned into the John Ansell show a long time ago.
Have fun.
Read them all wiseman. Maybe you’ll come around and be against Amnesty.
You are correct. If he would just give obummer enough rope to hang himself with, he would. But he just keeps opening his mouth and alienating more conservatives. I don’t think it is by accident. mccain has shown little other than disdain to conservatives for several years now.
Not true.
We don’t have a nominee until it is made official at the convention.
Some of us realize that John McCain’s track record is in complete alignment with the Communist Party USA’s program of The Road To Socialism, and we will not stop fighting that program and it’s Republican poster child (McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman, “Agents of Intolerance” and “bigot” attacks on the “Ultra-Right“, etc.)
We will not go quietly.
The best thing John McCain can do for his country is to step down and let two real conservatives fight the battle against Obama/Biden.
Would McAmnsety’s Z Visa catch this guy?
Huckabee supported amnesty. I never liked that guy and would have a hard time voting for him. While the Arkansas governor, he pandered incessantly to hispanics and supported sanctuary policies. Be careful what you wish for.
He should. He’d be a far better candidate if he did. But, you’re right, he doesn’t pay attention to true conservatives.
Unbelievable.
This is McCain’s track record.
For those who see no difference between McCain and the two Democrats, this serves as a reminder that while McCain drifts to the middle on some issues, a large chasm exists between the nominees that will face off in November.
You know this. Yet you deny it and replace it with your own version of reality.
Itooktheredpill – Huckabee is as left as Juan McCain. He wants to spend taxpayer money for illegal’s education.
The best spot in the debates is where Huckleberry was bragging about this point and Mitt Romney told him “It is not your money to spend.”
I don’t care if Huckleberry panders to ‘Values Voters’, when his record proves him to be another Open-borders, lefty idiot.
He pretty much said that after looking at the polls didn’t he?
OK, John_Ansell. Usually I agree with you on most subjects but I am not sure what it is you are attempting to accomplish. Wise_man gets to vote for whomever he wishes. Gotta love America. Let’s say you convince us all to shun Senator McCain. Please tell us, who is the perfect candidate? I’ll bet I can find a principled conservative reason that you should not vote for him.
I’ll just say this. I know that realistically only one of two people are going to be president. It is either going to be McCain or Obama. To be quite frank with you I would rather live in a whole village of Mexicans than to be over-run by Islamist terrorist.
I agree we need to fix the border issues but sitting out the election or writing in your version of Mr./Mrs. Perfect is not going to accomplish that.
WiseStupidManBoy – The founding father’s are rolling in their collective graves listening to you and others making the claim that someone voting their conscience (even if that means not voting) is automatically voting for the other guy. You’ve completely lost site of the reality you claim others should see.
OnMySoapBox – Yes he did.
But everyone is John’s friend no matter how long the relationship. Isn’t that how he starts or ends every remark?
I’m sure that’s what I hear when I hear him speak anyway, such as , “You are a xenophobic bigot, my friend!”
Joy, in the last election, 62,040,610 62,040,610 people voted for George W Bush. 59,028,444 voted for John Kerry. If the same people used your mentality, and demanded that Bush be in 100% agreement with them on all the issues, and didn’t settle for the lesser of two evils, then we would have had a president John Kerry. There would have been no surge of troops in Iraq, but all would have been removed by now and Iraq would now be the domain of Al Sadyr and his supporters from Iran.
Elections have consequences. And I agree, people should vote their conscience. And they should not lie to themselves and others as to what those consequences are.
As the 62 millions of people who voted for Bush, outnumbering the 59 million who voted for Kerry prove, that if a significant number of people used your logic, that the greater of two evils would have prevailed.
Again, don’t kid yourself. And calling me a stupid boy may make yourself feel better about your view because my telling your the truth here makes you feel bad. But it doesn’t change the basic facts that we are forced to deal with not only here, but in our lives in the real world as well.
I hope that at some point, you and others here great and small can see this.
Ron, McCain could be a perfect candidate. He just needs to be reminded who he represents. AMERICA! I don’t mind anybody voting for whoever, you are right that America allows us that choice.
My point is simple, McAmnesty is asking us to follow him into making America a third world country and I’ve already seen what happens when we allow that.
This is a pretty good idea of what happens.
We don’t need that. McAmensty needs to get in check with the party base. He’d win in a landslide.
UN FREAKIN BELIEVABLE Illegals are taking over and our politicians are allowing it to happen.
I’m voting for McCain. I do not support him on many issues. He’s the best we have right now and the thought of Obama anywhere near the White House scares the bajeebees out of me. Not voting is not an option. I will continue to make my voice heard on issues important to me. Even voting for McCain doesn’t mean I have lost my voice or will to be heard.
Why is everyone bashing McCain for this, when they don’t even know what he is going to do?! Seriously, MM, why go after McCain for something that has yet to happen?
Who knows, maybe he’ll call out Obama on the Ayers thing.
I’m no fan of McCain, not by a long shot, but I have to admit he took Obama to school at Saddleback, and has been doing really well with his ads against Obama.
I think McCain’s campaign got off to a horrible start, but it has been doing very well lately. I will at least wait to hear what he says before trashing him for saying it.
I did not intend to imply there was NO difference between the two – Instead that the difference is minimal (and it appears McCain is spending all of his waking energy trying to make the difference smaller – not larger)
You don’t get to the top of a mountain by continuously taking steps down. Sometimes you have to take a step down to get around an obstacle, but to get to the top, your most consistent step is toward the top. John McCain only traverses or steps down. Where are his upward steps?
Wise_man, you are not making any converts here.
McCain is a disaster and anyone who has glanced at the Constitution knows it. Obama is a bigger disaster, but that does not mean we have to vote McCain.
I have been hitting McCain hard on the .1% chance we can get him removed as the nominee at the convention. If McCain wins, I’ll continue to slam his liberal policies like I would Obama’s.
If there weren’t so many syncophants like you in the party, maybe the GOP platform you can’t defend wouldn’t look so much like the Democrat platform.
Your beef isn’t with me, “Valiant,” take it up with the republicans who voted for him in greater numbers than who voted for people like Rudy and Fred.
I sincerely wish that you and everyone elses’ hopes that McCain lose to Obama fail. And we never have to find out just how bad a president Barack Obama and administration is for our country.
And you can shove your “syncophants” claim, whatever that is, right up your … dictionary of choice.
Actually, this works for me. If Mav can do a direct confrontation, that could be quite effective. Call Barack out. Mano-a-mano, so to speak.
While I agree that the campaign teaser was probably stupid, I’m looking forward to the ad.
wise_man, I believe that valiant just can’t spell and was probably trying to call you or me or somebody that disagreed with him a sycophant. Not only did he misspell it but I don’t think he knows what it means either. I have not heard you praising McCain for your personal gain. You,ve just stated that he is better than the magic negro.
valiant, you do not have to vote for McCain. You can write in Newt or Thompson or whoever floats your boat. Just be prepared for Obama to sink it.
The Urban Dictionary, of course.
So you are a ignorant ghetto people and neocon morons. ? I try to keep that a secret, if I were you.
RedPill, you have your own blog. Why do you continue to clutter up MM’s site with rehashed nonsense from your barely visited site? Seriously. The unhinged extremists who believe as you do are probably capable of finding your blog.
You are going to need to get loud and organized instead of doing what you are doing. Again, we are probably going to get amnesty because we are too busy shooting ourselves in the foot while the other side unites around open borders and takes to the streets.
The way to stop Amnesty is not to elect Obama.
a la Joe Pesci’s opening arguments in “My Cousin Vinny”:
McCain: “Everything that guy just said is bull$!%&. Thank You.”
MacNasty enjoys poking conservatives in the eye to the point of perversion.
He cannot pass this the most golden opportunity for the World Class Poke-aq-conservative-in-the-eye chance.
He will pick Liberman…and lose.
I will vote for every office on the tickett except POTHUS unless Gov Romney is on the ticket. Period.
PS I donate to individual GOP candidates
Shrug? Endorse or belittle whoever, but if Obama gets in because everyone’s just too principled to vote for McCain against the left, left wing havoc that will be unleashed, next time the troops are called on to flood the phone lines of congress or write this person or that person, I’ll just glance past the info and just… Shrug.
Even Cindy’s sister is voting against McCain
Shrug
Thats what MacNasty counts on. His campagein manager has stated that several times “..where else are they going to go.”
F##k’em. Eight years of poke in the eye is enough…
If McCain wins, it will make our summer fight against GOP amnesty look like a picnic.
re #120 “I did not intend to imply there was NO difference between the two – Instead that the difference is minimal”
Yeah Rus, not much difference at all.
McCain- Life begins at conception.
Obama- Aborted babies that are breathing are not life.
McCain- Win in Iraq.
Obama- Forget winning, leave Iraq now!
McCain- Make tax cuts permanent.
Obama- Expire tax cuts, increase taxes.
McCain- Expand drilling and nuclear.
Obama- No drilling and no nuclear.
McCain- Has friends that work in the Pentagon.
Obama- Has friends that blew up the Pentagon.
How to choose, how to choose; just two peas in a pod. Wow, this is really hard stuff!
Here’s McCain’s historic ad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4KIvRTg6KQ
An absolute class act. Well done, Senator.
In case anyone hasn’t mentioned it to you yet, here’s an observation.
Your commenting style reminds me of the video where Alex Jones is following Michelle Malkin saying ’she wants to put Americans in death camps!’ over and over.
You keep posting news stories that in your mind are linked to John McCain. As this page goes along, here you come with more links to stories that you think are relevant to John McCain. I can imagine you screaming the titles as they are all in bold. One after the other.
You aren’t going to convince anyone to come around to your point of view, just as Alex Jones as doing nothing more than agitating the crowd as he was shouting.
re #132
Gee, thanks for that link John Ansell. A woman who says she has a “different political standpoint” and doesn’t believe much in that war thingy really should be a force to be listened to in the political arena.
Keep ‘em going John. The trolls are squealing. The stories are hitting a nerve.
McCain’s going to declare his lust for Obama and offer to have his love-child.
And you’re the guy in the green shirt right behind him, Joy.
Thanks for the link Mookie. Unfortunately I don’t think anyone that is pro-Obama will understand what the ad is really saying – they’re just too stupid to get it.
If we lose more seats in the house and senate because conservatives are having a shrieking hissy fit over McCain’s nomination, we do NOT deserve to govern.
Wise_man, I’ll just acknowledge here that I understand your viewpoint regarding why anyone should vote McCain. As you know, I’m certainly no fan of McCain (particularly because I can’t trust him, and because he’s pro-amnesty), but I’m starting to come around based on the fact that Obama as POTUS is certain and unequivocal doom for the USA.
Disagree with McCain all you like. It just creeps me out to see conservatives doing to McCain what as I saw the democrats did to Bush for 7 years. Oppose him on the issues. Please don’t try (and I’m not saying this to you nyc123me, but anyone who has) to demonize him in ways that you know just aren’t true.
If Obama wins, I hope to God that he doesn’t dismantle our nuclear weapons as he’s mentioned that he wants to do. That he doesn’t bring about horrendous events to us from his naive outlook to international and also domestic programs he wants to enact. But he will still be ‘my president.’
The left’s “He’s not my president” behavior towards Bush is something that I will never forgive them of. The fact that they believed that he was responsible or knew about 9/11, lied about Iran, … this is all inexcusable. And it’s the same with McCain. He’s not the monster some of you are making him out to be.
Coming for Amnesty and to take our jobs.
Look at this sicko. McCamnesty’s Z visa would have given this punk amnesty because there is no way they can do a background check on all of them in 24 hours.
I think we can all agree that either a McCain or Obama presidency would suck and that an Obama presidency would suck worse.
Under an Obama presidency, the Republicans will be forced off the new tone nonsense (typified in McCain’s ad tonight) and fight for what is right. Under a McCain presidency, Republicans will go along with what is wrong after reaching across the aisle. My friendsh, I choose to fight the evil.
Remember Elvira Arrellano? It’s already been a year since ICE did there job and deported the invader.
Pat on the back to the Border Patrol.
Will McCain praise this?
Oh, really? While they’re in the minority and shut out by Pelosi and Reid? When was the last time they “fought for what was right”?
They had their shot at the majority and lost. It wasn’t because of McCain but because of conservative voters who found it easier to whine than work.
Republicans were in the minority in 1994 when they decided to fight. If they are not going to fight, they are useless and do not deserve power. That is why they lost power and McCain was no help in continuously screwing the base.
Keep on this like Alex Jones charging after Michele Malkin, John Ansell. McCain has nothing to do with this, and your constant charge of shouting this tripe over and over just shows you to be just as ignorant and mean spirited as Alex Jones when you use this same tactic.
Here’s another one, Joy.
McCain/Kennedy ring a bell?
Same tactics, John.
Look at “God’s Children”.
On August 28th, 2008 at 6:15 pm, John Ansell said:
You might have mentioned that once or twice.
You have also acknowledged that you have no idea how you are going to be able to combat any Amnesty program if Obama is elected. You don’t seem interested in the ways McCain could be pushed toward enforcment.
Instead of pitching a fit, repeating “McShamnisty(tm)” over and over and trotting out Juan Hernandez I for obne would Reeeeeeallllly appreciate it if you would enlighten me on what you plan to do to stop the genuine amnesty that obama will sign in to law?
Otherwise I will just be left to think it is Game Over if obama gets in.
Wow Stupid Boy, I was going to ask John to consolidate them, but you were kind enough to do it for him, without even being asked. Almost makes me feel bad for calling you Stupid Boy…
He added another, so you need to consolidate again with the new one. kthx
John – 12 Americans murdered every day by illegals… from that last article #155. I guess Juan’s answer is to make them all legal so we can stop accusing illegals of the murders.
Stealing identities Americans won’t steal.
Now this is crossing the line.
Will I get a McCain Brownie point for saying that? It’s not Sarc, Carter should be ashamed of that.
On August 28th, 2008 at 6:35 pm, John Ansell said:
Indeed, how is helping Obama to get elected going to fix any of that?
Gee, that was a hoot. You know, a hearing aid, because he is older, right?
Good stuff, Maybe you could work his arthritis in to your routine.
John Ansell Current Tally
-1,235 McPoints
+…..1 McPoint
-1,234 McPoints Current Total
-2,234,763 Integrity Points for Cawwtah
How many obama points is that?
LOL yeah, kinda like DC relabeling ‘gangs’ to ‘crews’ so they no longer have a gang problem. Never mind the crew problem, that was not the issue. LOL.
Just having some fun today, Mr. Grant. I’m serious about that Carter one though. Carter should be ashamed of himself. I don’t like McCain’s stance on AMnesty, but he served our country more than Carter could ever dream of doing. I give him that respect.
Crew problem sounds much more manageable and far less frightening. Is that what they did? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh…
Fine John, Don’t want to interrupt anyones fun but since we are all concerned about this: What is your plan to stop the genuine amnesty that obama will sign in to law?
Jimma Cawwtah is a traitor and should have been tried and shot long ago. He has a lot of nerve saying what he did about McCain’s POW years.
Joy and John –you just sit back and enjoy this – one of my favorites:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKQgTiqhPbw
I’ll answer to # 159>>>
It’s simple –Bill–
Stop accepting the L_O_T_E_ from the G_O_P__
Demand that the G_O_P_ put forth men and women of honor…and personally support such individuals of character with your $$$$ and time…
So is that the plan to stop the genuine amnesty that obama will sign in to law?
It sounds nice but what I have advocated isn’t acceptance of anything and I don’t think it will have an effect on what Obama will do after he gets elected.
So McCain, having the support of Ds and Rs alike can’t get amnesty passed, but b. Hussein can?
Christian Soldier – WWWOOOOOOOOWWWW!!! Oh, that makes me miss my horse! We didn’t do anything like that, but she could canter through the ocean like you wouldn’t believe!
That was amazing Christian Soldier. Thanks for sharing that link. Oh, and for answering Bill’s question too.
I agree with you John… give ‘em hell buddy!
So is your point that it doesn’t matter who we elect because there will be no Amnesty? Kind of undercuts all the hysteria.
Obama will have a democrat controlled congress and will sign whatever amnesty bill they send him because, “yes he can”. He doesn’t care if you oppose it because you are a bitter gun clinger.
Glad you enjoyed it John and Joy-
Dressage was used to train the natural moves of horses to be used for WAR –both to intimidate ground troops and to protect the riders…
Now dressage is seen as an art form-beautiful to behold…
Joy-sorry you no longer have a horse…they are great aren’t they!?
John-You are welcome-any-time
On August 28th, 2008 at 7:15 pm, John Ansell said:
That wasn’t even close to an answer. Holding the republican party to higher standards is fantastic. I agree with the premise. Everyone should aspire and work toward betterment. The question was; what is the plan for stopping he genuine amnesty that obama will sign in to law?
You see, there are things we can do about McCain, but what is the plan to stop Obama?
Do I have to beg?
Come to Southern California and you will understand why the issue is important. We are literally being invaded.
#175 & #176 Well alrighty then! There is the answer Bill. We spent 176 posts discussing something that is not even a problem. McCain didn’t get it passed and Obama won’t either. A non-issue so to speak, just an exercise in theory. Man, do I feel better now.
Look Bill Grant, It’s McCain’s election to lose. I’ve stated that if he would switch his amnesty stance, he would win in a landslide. No need to worry about an Obama/Kennedy bill. We need to worry about McCain/Kennedy.
Boy I wish McCain would listen.
Bill Grant – You really need lessons in reading and comprehension skills. You do have one talent, twinsting everything people when say when they don’t agree with you.
YOU are the one who says McCain can’t get amnesty passed, even though he’ll have the support of Rs and Ds alike… so how in your squirrely mind can b. Hussein?
Personally, I believe McShame WILL get it passed, and on his 100 day timetable at that.
The Rs will finally start ACTING like Rs if b. Hussein gets in. But I’m not voting for either of them.
And now, I really am done with you, since it’s impossible to have any real debate with you since you keep forgetting your own talking points and insist on putting words in everyone’s mouths. You’ve got enough McPoints for your ‘green’ onesie, so cash in already.
I agree, an important issue. I seriously agree. The question is what do we do about it? Work the problem or shoot ourselves in the foot.
I used to live in the hills above the sunset strip. The first time it rained a Mexican gent (Don’t know if legal or illegal) slammed in to my parked, antique Mercedes (Brunhilda) with his work truck hard enough to pop out the engine then he tried to drive away…a microcosm of the BS that goes on everyday. I get it. I really do. The question is what is to be done about the situation.
So: So is that the plan to stop the genuine amnesty that obama will sign in to law?
PS – How many times does a person have to threaten to switch parties from R to D for you to believe he isn’t really an R??
Okay, now I’m really really done.
Construction, is that a job Americans will not do?
John – A very smart Mike Musculus pointed out to Grant that he argues like a Dem. And he really does. Notice that you say something, he twists it into something you didn’t say (straw man), then argues against what you didn’t say and pretends to make a point.
No wonder he likes McShame, he’s a D too.
Well I have to say that I like Bill Grant better that Wise Guy.
Bill has raised some good points in the past but he doesn’t seem to understand that it’s McAmnesty that is blowing his chances of winning the election. McAmnesty still has Juan Hernandez working on his campaign. Thought McCain didn’t like lobbyist.
How much did this one cost the taxpayers?
We must look to the FUTURE:
We’ve been voting for the
G_O_P_S_
L_O_T_E_S
for 25+++++years…
We can no longer buy into the
SLIPPERY SLOPE…
This present is the PAST -not dealt with…..
SO ..from this present to the FUTURE is where we will win the battle!
http://www.sauerberg2008.com
Donated to his campaign. Hope he whips Durbin.
Yes John, Bill is the lesser of two evils!
On August 28th, 2008 at 7:35 pm, Joy said:
Please, no lectures in comprehension from you Joy. You don’t bother to read whatever you don’t think you will agreee with.
I have stated that it is going to take work to stop it either way. Not that I think you want to work at it. I believe it is possible to stop in with a McCain presidency and imposable to stop it with an Obama presidency.
So roll over and accept Obama. Make no mistake, there will be an Amnesty in this country if we don’t get organized, stop sniping at each other and work to stop it. In your case at least, I do not see that happening.
So is that the pipe dream? Losing the election will “cleanse the party”? That was a PR pitch made by the DNC which stuck in the minds of some of you. It was intended to help elect Hillary by keeping the right wing rubes n their tractors on election day. YOU DO NOT GAIN INFLUENCE BY LOSING ELECTIONS. No, they will interpret their defeat as the country wanting a different direction. Defeats leave political party’s in a mess and empower the victors. You will be empowering Pelosi, Reid and the other traitors to the country.
I will try to manage.
Genius, if I keep forgetting talking points what makes you think I have talking points?
Right back at you.
“
Well then, Ill send it to you because you are a huge baby.
You shouldn’t repeat lies, unless you want to be regarded as a liar.
No he did not, that was your little theory.
I argue that you behave like a true leftist in that you only will see what you want to see.
And I did that where?
No wonder you want Obama, you are an easily lead half-wit.
Juan Hernandez is a volunteer, a nobody. He has been used as another straw man like Daddy Yankee, it is sound and fury signifying nothing.
You still haven’t answered my question John: What is your plan to stop the genuine amnesty that obama will sign in to law?
Give me a viable plan John and I will follow you to the gates of hell and hold Hernandez while you kick his ass.
I am starting to come to the conclusion though, that there can be no viable plan made for stopping Obama. I am starting to come to the conclusion that the only way of stopping Obama from signing open borders is to stop Obamna.
Show me the way John.
Juan Hernandez is a man that HATES America… he wants Mexico to once again own this country and he tongues the ear of McAmnesty and whispers promises of Mexican votes…. He wants us Americans to bend over and volunteer for the screwing that Bush, Kennedy, McAmnesy, Ghramnesty and the other evil doers want to do to America.
