First, they came for TV stations daring to air an independent ad about Barack Obama and unrepentant Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers.
Next, they came for GOP donors.
Now, they are shamelessly attacking National Review investigative journalist Stanley Kurtz — one of conservatism’s most thoughtful and penetrating writers on academic and educational affairs. Kurtz has been at the forefront probing Obama’s relationships with left-wing ideologues. It was his public information request and public call for help that led to the University of Illinois – Chicago finally releasing tons of files that shed light on the Obama/Ayers working relationship. The Obama camp is condemning Kurtz in harsher terms than it ever condemned the terrorist Ayers. Kurtz has been attacked now as a “right-wing hatchet man” and “slimy character assassin.”
Here are the Kurtz-smearing talking points the Obama campaign sent to its worshipers.
It was “non-stop.” And: “Surreal, amusing, and chilling.”
As I reported yesterday, Kurtz spent two hours on legendary radio talk show host Milt Rosenberg’s Chicago program on WGN last night detailing his initial findings. The Obama campaign went ballistic — and in typical Chicago mafia-style, smeared Kurtz and tried to shut down the show.

I’m listening to Stanley Kurtz on the Milt Rosenberg Show. Milt announced that in his 30 yrs of doing his show, he’s never had “the firestorm” (as he puts it) on his switchboard as he’s having tonight. His call screener found the root of the flood: An pro-Obama website that claims that Kurtz is trying to smear Obama and that the campaign won’t allow the “swiftboating” that happened to Kerry, so they gave the show info (call-in number, time, etc) and suggested that people flood the switchboard with negative calls. The callers claimed that everything Kurtz is stating is fabricated, so Kurtz then read verbatim from the documents! He read one of the staff presentation agendas where the agenda stated that Obama would welcome the guests with Ayers then briefing them on the update so clearly they were together more than casually (and these docs are just the tip of the iceberg).
In addition, Stanley read an example of what organization received money and which one’s were turned down. In the case he mentioned, $200K was given to an African-American South Side School for a celebration of Juneteenth (see here for explanation, http://www.cinnamonhearts.com/junteenth.htm ) whereas a school program focusing in Algebra expertise was turned down.
As this exploration unfolds it should get very interesting indeed……..

In the last few minutes, two called to scald Milt for having Stanley on without having an Obama rep on to give the counterpoint. Milt explains, repeatedly, that he contacted the Obama campaign (he gave the name of the campaign official his producer spoke with) and the campaign — the HQ of which is about a quarter mile from the studio where the show airs — declined to come on. They were offered the opportunity to have someone there with Stanley for the entire two hours, and they said no.
Another pro-Obama woman called and, after accusing Stanley of slander but of course not citing anything he said that was slanderous, stated, “We want it to stop.” Milt asked what she wanted stopped, and she replied, “It’s just not what we believe as Americans.” Milt tried again, asking what she didn’t believe. She responded that it was someone saying bad things about Barack Obama and, again, we just want it to stop.
Very compelling.
Earth to Obama supporters: no one is claiming guilt by association — though willful association with an admitted terrorist would be worthy of noting in a presidential candidate. Obama and Bill Ayers had a working relationship. Yet, Obama claimed Ayers was just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and has otherwise minimized the relationship. Aside from the fact that Obama is not telling the truth, which itself is important, the details of the relationship are important. If the press was doing its job, we’d have those details already. Finally, the media’s job is being done … by Stanley. He should be saluted, not smeared.

Obama reminds me more and more of Chicago’s other (in)famous scion, Al Capone. Both had rockstar status, both have had their share of charity projects “for the children” (Capone opened soup kitchens for victims of the Depression), and both are ruthless towards anyone with the audacity to point out the corruption behind the facade.

Senator Obama could clear this up by giving a more detailed answer about his relationship with Ayers and Dohrn. I can only question why he does not do so. The “guy in my neighborhood” remark is so unsatisfying.

Can you imagine what would happen is Obama won the popular vote, if only slightly, and McCain won the electoral college? Say goodbye to another part of the constitution. Search the keywords “Barack Obama” & “Williams Ayers” in Google a couple times a day. They have a service called Google Trends”. People & companies look at it to see what folks are interested in on a given day. Raising the rankings will make more people curious about the Obama/Ayers relationship. We have a couple months to bring those keywords up high in the ranks so they are visible. I put a link on my website that people can just click on to do the search. Here’s one now!

It is ironic that when you attempt to judge Obama “on the content of his character and not the color of his skin” you are attacked as being a racist. Further, when his character is questioned, his only defense is to smear the questioner and call them a racist.
Martin Luther King did not dedicate his life and ultimately lose it so that people like Barack Obama could come to power. He did it so people like Secretary Rice, Secretay Powell, Justice Thomas, J.C. Watts, Thomas Sowell, could have the opportunity to accomplish what they have accomplished.
They overcame and were accepted as equals. They were not not given a pass. They earned their success. Obama is a stain of Dr. King’s legacy.

That , incidentally, is why I found it so alarming when you waded into that crowd at the Denver Mint a few days ago. If intimidation won’t work, they’ll eventually resort to violence — and rationalize afterward that their “good intentions” justified it.
If we ever lose this Republic to totalitarianism, the hoof-prints of the donkey party will be all over the scene of the crime. If you want to know what the donkeys’ long-term agenda for this country is, all you have to do is listen to what they accuse their opposition of wanting to do:
– Politically incorrect beliefs will become “thought crimes.” The people who accuse you of wanting to put people into “FEMA camps” will see to your “re-education.”
– Telling the truth about donkeys will become prosecutable. The people who cry “free speech!” will see to it that your “hate speech” does not go unpunished.
– Membership in the “subversive” political organizations will become the same as belonging to an organized crime syndicate. The people who call Republicans “Nazis” will criminalize membership in the Republican or Libertarian parties.
There was a reason why the Founding Fathers enshrined freedom of speech and assembly in the First Amendment to the Constitution — because when the totalitarians calling themselves “Democrats” make their move, those two basic freedoms are the first things they’ll target.
They’ve already gotten started, in the guise of “Hope” and “Change.”
Huey Long wasn’t just trying to sound clever when he observed that “If Fascism comes to America, it’ll call itself ‘anti-Fascism.’” As a demogogue himself, he knew very well how the authoritarian mind works. Those who ignore how the donkey party is turning his words into prophecy do so at their own, and the Republic’s, peril.

If the Ayers connections are lies – then discredit them as lies. But they’re not. They deal specifically with the content of Obama’s character – and it’s not looking good for him.
I will fight to the death to protect the First Amendment. If that means civil war, so be it. I’m armed and ready.
So at what point will a revolution be necessary?
Obama stated that he disagrees with Clarence Thomas’ interpretation of the constitution…yea we know. Thomas knows how to read.
“Did we see a preview of the Fairness Doctrine tonight”? Yes, that’s a possibility. It’s also a compelling reason to vote for McCain. Thomas, Scalia, Roberts and Alito would not let the Fairness Doctrine stand on constitutional grounds. The insane liberal idiots on the court would pass it in a heartbeat.
There are several things that I don’t like about McCain, but I can’t see letting Obama appoint a Supreme Court Justice.
It’s stories like this one, Michelle, that make me nervous for the future. However, when the details are left fairly vague in stories like this one I saw on the Drudge Report and I then come to your site and see stories like the one on this page, I start to have panic attacks…

With Obama so short on experience, how come his campaign chose to highlight his neighborhood advocacy and NOT mention his role as Chairman of the Board of a large foundation such as Annenberg.

I believe those that are following Barak and doing his dirty work know exactly what he wants this country to become. A totalitarian dictatorship – the deal is – they feel they will be on the right side of this. Since they are generally loosers anyway, this will enable them to be on the winning side for once. They will sacrifice anything for that. They don’t care about preserving personal freedoms or 1st Amendments, 2nd Amendments – they care only about what will they get out of this. Being dumb sheep – the shepard will take care of his flock.
Freedom is not a word used by liberals in any forum. Political correctness has eroded personal freedom at an astounding rate in the last twenty years. That Sanfrannan, Reid and Obama are actually rising to the top spouting Marxism and are on the brink of bringing their half baked power play to a real threat is absolutely astounding. We are under a much greater danger than most people realize. The only difference between communism and liberalism is the communist had a plan. It has never work.
If Obama gets away with intimidation on his way to the top, just think what it will be if he gets real power. Wake up everybody.

On the issue of being ready for a civil war, I am just saying that if you have never seen one, you probably are going to get a nasty suprise. I am not saying one will not be required if the tyrant obama gets in. In fact if it gets as bad as I fear, I will be right there with you. In fact I know how to be as ruthless as that type of war requires me to be. I am just saying its going to suck and you shouldn’t be cavalier about it.
One can hope the arrest of the ABC producer will be the beginning of the MSM realizing what could happen with Il Duce in the White House. I’ve said it many times before. Obama is very thin-skinned and he believes his own hype. He was raised and mentored by Communists. A guy like that isn’t going to care about your rights.

None that I can think of. Olbermann is the poorest excuse for a human being I recall ever seeing on television, and that includes Jackass Cafferty on CNN and L’il Danny Blather (formerly of the Communist Broadcasting System).

There is a difference between “dissenting opinions” and outright lies. Who can blame Obama for defending himself. John Kerry did nothing when he got swift boated and look at what happened to him. There are plenty of reasons to not vote for Obama in terms of policy and experience without resorting to these kind of attacks. If anyone listened to Sean Hannity on his radio show a couple of days ago trying to make these arguments to Ted Koppel, Koppel calmly and persuasively shot all of them down and it made Sean sound like a spoiled little brat. Kind of like that guy Kurtz.

That’s the problem. He’s not defending himself, he’s trying to silence the opposition. There is a difference. If he wanted to defend himself, he would’ve put out an ad, or called the radio show to refute all of Kurtz’s claims.
